Help Request

[edit]

Thanks so much for the welcome! I am just trying to work on this page for Peitor Angell right now, and stop it getting deleted! Any suggestions? Also, I was working on a page for Graham Ludlow. That page has a warning, which seems no longer pertinent (eg. I have made updates to it). Thanks for any help!!RandySWT1 (talk) 22:07, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, the page is no longer about to be deleted. A step in the right direction! RandySWT1 (talk) 01:00, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, however the page is still not safe from deletion (i.e. another editor may nominate it under a different criteria). You should look up WP:GNG and WP:RS to understand the notablity and sourcing requirements, if you need help citing sources, let me know and I will try to help. Cheers, --kelapstick(bainuu) 02:36, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'll keep at it!! If I get stuck, I'll be back to you. thanks so much. This is a challenge!  :)RandySWT1 (talk) 03:11, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Thunder Run. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> The Book of Chzz, Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Thunder Run (movie), which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Hi RandySWT1! The thread you created at the Wikipedia:Teahouse, Edit Question, has been archived because there was no discussion for a few days (usually at least two days, and sometimes four or more). You can still find the archived discussion here. If you have any additional questions that weren't answered then, please feel free to create a new thread.

IMDB as a source

[edit]

Information icon I noticed that you recently used IMDB as a source for information in a biography article. Please note that per long-standing consensus, IMDb does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. You can read more about the reasons for this here, here and here.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:52, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You continue to add material top biographies that is not supported by reliable sources, or are sourced to IMDb which, as explained above, cannot be used. Please ensure that you are only adding content that is supported by reliable sources. Thank you, -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:27, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is frustrating. imdb used to be acceptable and Starr was a producer on "Huckleberry". What source would be better? It's also listed on Apple TV and Moviefit:

https://moviefit.me/titles/166071-huckleberry

Any help would be appreciated!
