Question

Did you see the format the new format that I am using for the "military" section of the "List of Puerto Ricans"? What do you think of it? I think that it would be best if we organized the other sections in alphabetical order by surnames similar to what I did in the military section. Tony the Marine (talk) 22:41, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Hello, Pr4ever. You have new messages at Unschool's talk page.

Re:Sec. of State

Sure, I'll help you. I'll do it during the day. If you have time, could you take on one of these sections in the "List of Puerto Ricans" either the Actors one or the Composers and put the surnames in alphabetical order? Then I will do the rest of the "new Format" on them. I think the list is starting to look good. Tony the Marine (talk) 18:41, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

I took a look at the template and it seems to me that they only want to include the "Sec. of States" of each of the "States of the Union" only and not the territories. I will make the suggestion that "territories" be included in the template in the "talk" page. I would like for you to also add a comment so that they can understand that this is an individual request. Tony the Marine (talk) 19:18, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
No, that's not what "we" have said. I suggested to Pr4ever that he use the template for the US state governors as his model; that template does include the territories. Unschool 21:08, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Hey, dude, nice job with your update of Template:Current U.S. Lieutenant Governors, but please remember to use that or the governor template as a guide before adding PR to the SoS template. Thanks. Unschool 17:31, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Pr4, please look at Template:Current U.S. Governors. Do you see how the territories are set off with their own section and heading, within the template? Please consider the person, maybe some 10-year old kid learning on his own, who does not understand that Puerto Rico and Guam and these others are not states. The way you are inserting this, you could easily cause someone using this for research to make an erroneous statement, perhaps in some report for school. We need to be as helpful and as accurate as we can, for the benefit of our readers.
If I really wanted to, I could make the argument that PR and the VI should not be included at all since the Puerto Rico State Secretary of State does not represent a state. But I'm bending over backward here, and saying that if you or someone else wants to include them, that you need only make it clear to the uninitiated that PR and the VI and the others fall into a different category. The Governor's template and the Lt. Governor's templates make that clear, and if—as I have asked several times—you would make that distinction here, then I will join, you in the spirit of compromise. Perhaps I am not being clear. If you do not understand what I am asking, let me know, and I'll try to explain it further. Cheers. Unschool 00:04, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

List of PR's.

I noticed that you started with the actors. I'm going to do the "composers - etc.". Tony the Marine (talk) 04:14, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

  • The "List" is finally done, it is now organized and it looks good. I want to thank you for all of the help and work that you put in it. Now, we have to make sure that all future additions be sourced and placed in a proper way. Gracias, Tony the Marine (talk) 04:42, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Banderas

Hello, in light of recent discoveries, I am proposing a consensus concerning the colors of the flag of Puerto Rico in neutral articles. Please see the project's talk page for further detail. Thanks for your time. - Caribbean~H.Q. 22:31, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Notability and Formating

The Attorney General of Puerto Rico, who has also served as Acting Governor of the island, is by definition Notable.

I added a bit of formating to help the piece.

Keep up the good work.

Governors

Good idea, go for it. Tony the Marine (talk) 18:12, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

  • You and I have become really good friends here in Wikipedia and that is why I feel that can have the liberty of discussing things with you my friend.

I was checking the governors section in the "List of Puerto Ricans" and I wouldn't have added the names of William D. Leahy or Rexford Tugwell because it would be against our criteria since they were not born in Puerto Rico, are not of Puerto Rican ancestry, they did not make Puerto Rico their homeland and their stay was short. Besides they are already in the List of Governors of Puerto Rico.

I didn't want to delete their names, because as I said you are my friend and I would rather have you do it. Now, I believe that the name of Juan Bernardo Huyke should be added because after all he acted as temporary governor in 1923. Tony the Marine (talk) 04:09, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
