My friend, thank you for the "apollo". I went and placed the reference in the "list" for you. Tony the Marine (talk) 01:34, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- I would like it if you helped me in making sure that the "rules" are followed. Tony the Marine (talk) 01:36, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Clean sweep
Mi buen amigo, I have been thinking that it is time to do a "clean sweep" of the "List of Puerto Ricans". As you know there are a lot of names of non-notables that do not even have reliable sources. I was thinking that since you are a trusted member who has worked on the list, that you, Raylast and I could tackle some of the sections and remove from the list the non-notables. Besides the military, which I always do, I could start with the educators section. I would very much like it if you joined us and picked the sections which you are most familiar with. Tell me what you think. Tony the Marine (talk) 00:56, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- O.K., so far the Actors section is taken. It is simple, you don't have to be an expert. Just take a section, for example: Authors and the names that you do not recognize, do a google search on them. If you don't find a reliable source to the person's claim to fame, then remove it. Take your time. Tony the Marine (talk) 02:56, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- I suspect you wanted to leave the message to Tony the Marine. He is the one in charge of the "Judges and Law Enforcement" section and not me. Paste the message on his talk page so he is aware of your comment. I don't think he has seen it on mine. ~RayLast «Talk!» 02:56, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- Oops, in regard to Acevedo. You are right, I will add his name back. In regard to A. Cecil Snyder, he is not Puerto Rican and was appointed to his position by the President. It would be similar to all the military governors in Puerto Rico appointed by the President. The question is this, did Snyder make Puerto Rico his homeland? By the way, mi amigo, we really need you in the sweep, come on do the authors section. Tony the Marine (talk) 03:08, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- Snyder is back in. The important thing here is that the criteria of the list be maintained and that is that it includes people who were born in Puerto Rico, people who are of Puerto Rican ancestry, and many long-term residents and/or immigrants who've made Puerto Rico their home. As you pointed out, Snyder falls in the people who've made Puerto Rico their homeland. You see my friend, I value and trust your opinion. Tony the Marine (talk) 00:21, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Raúl G. Villaronga
I noticed that you created the article on Raúl G. Villaronga. I hope that you do not mind if I do some work on it and I re-write the article. Villaronga and I have been in touch and he requested that I do it. You are one of my good friends here and that is why I'm letting you know first. Tony the Marine (talk) 07:03, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Miguelito el Heredero
Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Miguelito el Heredero, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 11:59, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Suggestion
Hi mi amigo, I have been looking around and I noticed that you have started a lot of articles such as Nelson Famadas, which is wonderful. Since some of them are "stubs", this is what I suggest: add {{PuertoRico-bio-stub}} and at least one verifiable source. You know how it is, somebody is going to take a look at an article like Miguelito el Heredero and nominate it for deletion (see above). At least with a verifiable source, it will have a good chance of survival. How does that sound to you? Tony the Marine (talk) 21:41, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Back at you
Hey, you're welcome. There's no real need to thank anyway. That's what Wikipedia is for. Keep contributing as well. There's a lot of information about him I can't find. Cheers. Thief12 (talk) 02:37, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
