Re:New Zealand Comment

Here I manually reverted one of your edits and I used the word "ignorant". I realise that comes across rude and so I apologise. I think I appreciate what you are trying to do, which is avoid constant repetition of Abel Tasman throughout the article. He is a notable figure and should given mention. The MOS states that the lead should summarise the main body, so I have reinserted the mention of Tasman to the first section, New Zealand § Etymology, but left out the repetition in the History section. @Missvain: Thanks for the beer. That's exactly how I felt, too. After I heard he had died on the news and then looked him up, I couldn't believe Boynton did not have a Wiki article before. I am really thankful I had the honor to create it. Pollstart (talk) 07:24, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
