Dr. Malone
Why don't you make it simple for him and reply saying "I need to get confirmation that you are licensing this image freely for use both on Wikipedia and beyond" and then forward his response to Wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1012:B026:DA33:5DDA:139:B8B1:FD2B (talk) 00:30, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- Per Wikimedia's guidelines for media (see here), I forwarded Dr. Malone the image release generator so that his images can be used on Wikipedia and its associated projects. Because the images were taken off of Wikimedia, I infer he did not release them. He did mention in the email that the images were "freely licensed," but this is not sufficient, vide Commons:Acceptable Licenses. It's unfortunate for the article's sake, but it's entirely his right. Disambiguation link notification for February 26
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hare (programming language) moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Hare (programming language), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Randy Weaver
Hang on a second. MOST of the sources describing Randy Weaver note that he was a white supremacist and white separatist. It definitely feels like white-washing (no pun intended) to remove that from the short description. I disagree with that removal. Fred Zepelin (talk) 23:16, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

Apology
Hi, I was new page patrolling and saw your article. I thought that it was self promotion and nominated it for CSD. I am very sorry for this. I removed the tag as well. Bigeshjen (talk) 14:51, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Bigeshjen
Orphaned non-free image File:Cozy.tv logo with name, from Gab background.png
Thanks for uploading File:Cozy.tv logo with name, from Gab background.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:10, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

The file File:Chainalysis logo.svg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
The SVG isn't rendering(?) correctly, and I'm probably not going to fix this issue for this non-free file anytime soon.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:00, 27 October 2022 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
Please also note that additional restrictions apply on the Hunter Biden laptop controversy article which require that any changes challenged by reversion may not be reinstated without affirmative consensus on the talk page (which is called 'consensus required') and that editors may not make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on the article (which is called 1RR). This means that this edit of yours breached the consensus required restriction. I haven't taken any action as you may not have been aware that this rule applied but you should be cautious about editnotices warning of restrictions in the future as you can be sanctioned without being warned. Links to draft articles
Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to OCA. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 20:51, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
