Trilete spores occur in mosses, hornworts, and liverworts. The Gray paper acknowledges this, and considers trilete spores to be the first evidence of plant life on land, not of vascular plants. --EncycloPetey (talk) 17:54, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
