Regarding newLISP
In August 2009 you added a "does not cite any references or sources." to the article. Which are the sections where references are needed? I assume you mean the "Philosophy" and "History" chapters ? All others refer to information in the Users Manual in the external links section. Please clarify. Thank you 72.148.169.132 (talk) 17:47, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
Somebody added a reference on March 5th, 2010. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.148.169.132 (talk) 02:43, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Well, all content in the article should be referenced, of course. While the article's current links are useful, none of them meet Wikipedia's definition of reliable, third-party sources: for more on that, see Wikipedia's Verifiability policy and Identifying reliable sources guideline.
- Examples of good sources would be scholarly papers, reports, professional journal or magazine articles, and so on—what's important is review, reliability, and independence from the newLisp creators. The Scheme or Python articles have many examples of good-quality sources. —Piet Delport (talk) 2010-03-06 21:08

Foreign languages assistance
Hi! I noticed you are listed at Wikipedia:Translators available. Could you please take a look at a post at Talk:Battle of Vukovar#Next steps: a call for assistance and advise whether you might be able to help in terms of an Afrikaans summary? Thanks.--Tomobe03 (talk) 20:05, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, will do. --Piet Delport (talk) 20:50, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you very much indeed... Please let me know when the translation is available - a translation of the lead would be great but a summary of the lead would do.--Tomobe03 (talk) 20:55, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- I started a stub, Slag van Vukovar, with the lead paragraph translated so far. Can't guarantee how much time i'll have to grow it further in the near future, but hopefully it's a good seed. :) --Piet Delport (talk) 23:12, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Translation request
Hi Piet, happy New Year. :-) Could I ask you a favour? I'm nominating Icelandic Phallological Museum for Today's Featured Article but would like to increase its score. It's only 5 languages off being a "widely covered" topic. Would you mind translating the stub article at User:Prioryman/Icelandic Phallological Museum summary for the Afrikaans wiki? Hi Piet. Thanks for your correcting "Afrikaans" at the above mentioned page! I'm trying to get a hook from the article included in DYK and need someone to review and/or comment on the page. Any chance you could look into that here? Best Robvanvee 10:45, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
- Reviewed. Fokn main! \m/ --Piet Delport (talk) 14:58, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Hey Piet. Hoe lyk dit? Ek wil weer n guns vra...I created this article and have nominated it again for DYK. It's been there 2 weeks and no one has reviewed it yet. Perhaps the "South African" puts people off, in that it may have Afrikaans references. Any chance you could review it for me? Ek sal baie dankbaar wees! Weet nie of jy die ouens ken nie maar hulle fokkin gooi! Shot Robvanvee 07:02, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
Moving "Field Trip"
Rather than revert you, I thought I'd drop a message here—I don't see the point in moving an already unambiguous title (Field Trip with title case is not used by anything else) just to add an extra few words to it; the page you linked to in your move summary doesn't actually support the move (quote: "For an article created about a single episode, add the series name in parentheses only if there are other articles by the same name"). If the move needs to stand despite this, bear in mind that The X-Files includes the integral article; it's not simply "X-Files". Thanks. GRAPPLE X 21:21, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message!
- The reason for the move is that there are a few other "Field Trip" articles: an album and a How I Met Your Mother episode, at least. I am in the process of creating a disambiguation page for all of them.
- You are correct that Field Trip (The X-Files) is the correct title: I filed a technical request for that move, and it's what I'm updating links to.
- Does that sit well with you? --Piet Delport (talk) 21:33, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, my mistake then, I hadn't seen those other articles, a disambig page is indeed in order for those (though I think "Field trip (disambiguation)" is preferred over keeping the title case). Good thing I asked! :P GRAPPLE X
- Yep. The disambiguation page is created, and a kind admin made the move, so everything should be good now. Thanks! --Piet Delport (talk) 22:33, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

Greetings
Greetings, Piet Delport, had not seen you around here yet, both being in South Africa — which is odd, given that we have both been around for quite a while. Then again, it is a huge universe, and we probably have different interests. At any rate, nice meeting you, and have a great 2015. Regards, Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 23:13, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
