I reverted it because he is not a member yet. The Hall of Fame does not consider one a member of the Hall of Fame until induction in the summer. Kinston eagle (talk) 21:04, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It has nothing to do with crystalball. The fact is that they are not members until they are inducted. Please see the Hall's own website. They do not consider them members yet. All references to them state clearly that they will become members this summer once they are inducted. Kinston eagle (talk) 21:06, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Here is the official list of Hall of Fame members at the official website. I jumped to the H's to show the absence of Henderson: [1] Also note that Gordon and Rice are also not listed. Regarding your comparison with the Football Hall of Fame, they are two different independent organizations. I don't know what Football's rules on membership are, but Baseball's Hall clearly waits until induction. Kinston eagle (talk) 21:14, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Here [2] is another example from the official site. Notice the caption under the photo of Williams and Gossage. "The long wait for both Goose Gossage and Dick Williams ended Sunday with their inductions." It's the induction that makes one a member not the election. Elected politicians don't take over their office on election night, they become the new office holder after they are sworn in. This is no different. To claim that someone is a member of an organization that the organization itself doesn't even think he's a member of makes Wikipedia look stupid. Kinston eagle (talk) 21:52, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hey whats up, sure I'll try to help, User:Kinston eagle doesnt seem to understand that they are not just going to take back the selection. There is no way that there election is not going to happen unless the world ends, so it doesnt violate anything, he seems to be the only one who thinks it shouldnt be there--Yankees1023:42, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
