Disambiguation question, Canal+
Hi Onel5969! I was looking to disambiguate TV3 in List of La Liga broadcasters and started checking out neighboring links/sources when I noticed that Canal+ was linking to Canal+ (French TV channel). I believe that that was the result of this diff by you. The article does not specify whether they are talking about domestic or international rights, but the context led me to believe that it was domestic rights, in which case Canal+ (Spanish TV channel) would seem to be more likely to be correct. I do not have specific knowledge here, so I wanted to check with you first, in case I'm missing something. Cleancutkid (talk) 22:35, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I think changing to the Spanish link would be appropriate. Onel5969 TT me 10:05, 1 June 2024 (UTC)

Alignment of <ref> tags
Hi,
Thank you for cleaning up the page Selman's theorem I just created. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Selman%27s_theorem&oldid=1226883796
I must say I'm confused about your change deleting the indentation before the </ref>
tag, which makes it not aligned with the matching <ref>
tag. Is this intentional? Is it part of some convention that I missed? (I'm a rather new WP editor.) Jean Abou Samra (talk) 13:58, 2 June 2024 (UTC)

New Artist Page
Hi @Onel5969 I recently created https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Bonnie_Rychlak, an article about the artist Bonnie Rychlak. She has exhibited with Jeanne Silverthorne on several occasions and their work is aligned. I noticed that you contributed to Silverthorne's page and thought you would be in a good position to appreciate this new article and provide feedback on what might improve it. Thank you in advance. Hello @Onel5969:, could you please help me create an article for American actor Robert Strange, who appeared in films with high profile actor such as Special Agent (alongside Bette Davis and George Brent), High Sierra (alongside Ida Lupino and Humphrey Bogart), Adventures of Captain Marvel (alongside Tom Tyler and Frank Coghlan, Jr.) and The Mad Monster (alongside George Zucco and Glenn Strange)? P.S.:I would really like your help because according to IMDB there is a much modern actor with the same name. CheAjlt (talk) 17:30, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
- Sure, after a brief perusal of his resume, it looks like he meets the notability criteria, so I'll be happy to help you with this. But I won't be able to work on it until Saturday. Onel5969 TT me 20:08, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

Dear Editor: This article which you kindly approved is not on the internet. This seems strange to me. Can you do something about it?

- Not sure why it's not showing up in searches. I ping another editor far more experienced in technical matters than I. Novem Linguae, hate to bug you, but any clues as to why this isn't being indexed? Onel5969 TT me 23:51, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

Hamilton Smith
Your second reversion of the birth information on Hamilton Smith too quick. I agree that this was initially unlinked. That is not the case now, but you reverted it while the editing was in progress (at my age (81) editing is not instantaneous.) I don't want to be accused of edit warring, so please undo the second reversion. Athel cb (talk) 13:32, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

- I missed the inuse tag on your article, so my apologies. The user above had no inuse tag on the article they were working on. Onel5969 TT me 11:50, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- The same happened at Chidananda S Naik earlier and Patryk Vega today. I am not sure how AWB works, but is it possible to add an exclusion for articles with the
in useunder construction tags? It would be helpful. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 16:55, 23 June 2024 (UTC)- Hi. No, there isn't, although this isn't the same issue, as even though they were tagged as under construction, you were not actively editing them. That being said, you probably shouldn't have more than one article with that tag at any time. You can always work on multiple articles in draftspace. Onel5969 TT me 17:22, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- I wasn't actively editing, which is why the under construction tag was placed in the first place. Is there a policy that says I shouldn't have more than one article with that tag at any time? Either way, if you check the timeline, only Chidananda S Naik had the tag and the Patryk Vega wasn't created until today. I don't mind the typo corrections or cleanup as anyone can edit an article when it is under construction, but it doesn't make sense to place maintenance tags on articles that are under construction. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 17:35, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- Sure it does. Quite a few articles have the under construction tag (or inuse tag), placed on them, and it is never removed, except automatically by a bot a week later. And the tags may help the editor is not done with the article to know what else needs to be done. Onel5969 TT me 19:30, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- It may help a new editor, but not someone with experience. I am letting you know that it is annoying to see maintenance tags put up on articles under construction. Considering your time and experience here, I hope you'll be mindful of this. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 19:46, 23 June 2024 (UTC)

Lifeboat Numbers
It's getting silly now! Your obsession with amending pages with minor corrections is out of hand.
I'm starting to dread creating new pages, just awaiting for you to find a couple of extra spaces, and then change the fleet numbers.
How often do we have to ask?
Please STOP amending Lifeboat Numbers

- Reread my message, didn't mean to sound angry, but I think I did, apologies!
- Martin Ojsyork (talk) 15:25, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- No worries. Thanks for the link. I see what happened (although it's no excuse), I saw the other minor errors and missed the lifeboat changes further down in the article. When this happens I usually do one of two things: either, one, click to save the AWB edit, and then pull up the article, and correct the em-dashes or; two, fixing the em-dashes in the AWB preview prior to clicking save. It depends on which I find easier at the time, usually to do with the length of the article. Again, sorry I missed this one. Onel5969 TT me 16:56, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- I suppose one of the things I don't understand is the inconsistency.
- Besides the lifeboat numbers in the fleet tables, there are usually numerous other places where the number if mentioned, but you never seem to change those??? Is that the way its highlighted with Wiki?
- Martin Ojsyork (talk) 07:38, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's one of the vagaries of AWB. It's not just with numbers, but I also see it with capitalization as well. Onel5969 TT me 10:48, 25 June 2024 (UTC)

CJ LiveCity
Hi, thank you for your review and feedback. Could you please help me identify exactly which orphan categories I fall under? The article contains internal links, and I'm unsure how I can de-orphan the article for that. CJ LiveCity Nezitic1000363 (talk) 00:42, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. Orphan means that no other articles link to that particular article. So, like there are links in CJ LiveCity, there need to be links in other articles to CJ LiveCity. For example, if you added information on CJ ENM, and linked the other article, it would alleviate the Orphan issue. Onel5969 TT me 01:19, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
