Your GA nomination of Bob Gibson

[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Bob Gibson you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Evan Phillips

[edit]

Evan Phillips was an integral part of the NLDS and NLCS and he was injured so was left off WS roster. Why do you insist on not including him as a World Series Champion for 2024? 168.150.120.241 (talk) 18:12, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Its not my choice; its WikiProject Baseball policy - itself based on Baseball Reference and stat sites policy - which I follow with every player; no exceptions. Hence why a hidden note is added to players who do not qualify. If you have an objections, I would suggest you take it up there. I can't help much. Your GA nomination of Bob Gibson

[edit]

The article Bob Gibson you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Bob Gibson for comments about the article, and Talk:Bob Gibson/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article is eligible to appear in the "Did you know" section of the Main Page, you can nominate it within the next seven days. @Reconrabbit, thank you so much for your time! :) Omnis Scientia (talk) 13:53, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, now I feel foolish... there's no freedom of panorama in the US for statues. It doesn't affect the quality of the article but perhaps an external link is warranted now since that photo can't be used. Reconrabbit 13:16, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries there. Trust me, I've been trying to find images to use on this particular page for some time now. They are just very hard to track down. Omnis Scientia (talk) 13:33, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Major League Baseball managerial wins and winning percentage leaders, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Roger Craig and Dallas Green.

Re: Excessive info on MLB team pages

[edit]

Hello. In reference to editor 24.101.112.71, I agree with you 100%. I have edited many team pages, but tried to keep it simple and basic, and I always finished a baseball team page the same day or the next day. Look at the 2024 MLB season, I added player and pitchers tables (with team leaders in yellow) to 24 of 30 teams and completed all of them and in previous years as well. He has left many tables incompleted and I would like to know, should I delete whatever I feel will never be completed by anyone including myself? Too labor intensive for me.Theairportman33531 (talk) 17:23, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! The thing is, its definitely a multi-user task because the user has really screwed things up. The best thing, I think, is to go back to the last version before this user's edits began and then replace the current page with that. I'll ping @Spanneraol here for their view on this solution too. Omnis Scientia (talk) 17:37, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The editor in question is refusing to engage on talk pages.. and his edits are definitely excessive. I deleted his content a few times but he keeps putting it back in... most likely will need administrator intervention as he seems to be abusing multiple IP addresses and may be a sock of a banned user. Spanneraol (talk) 19:41, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No they really aren't and its really irritating. I wish I knew how to but I really haven't reported that sort of thing. @Muboshgu, can you help out here by any chance? Omnis Scientia (talk) 19:43, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll take a look at it today. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:09, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
