I think we should separate Hindu Revival in Indonesia and Agama Hindu Dharma. Agama Hindu Dharma should concetrate on the philosphical concepts on Balinese Hinduism and Hindu Revival in Indonesia should be renamed to Hinduism in Indonesia and concentrate on the history of hinduism in indonesia and its current influence and position.--D-Boy 04:20, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I agree too. Balinese Hinduism warrants a separate page by itself because of its different practices and belief systems. Hindu Revival in Indonesia can be made part of a larger Hinduism in Indonesia but hopefully it doesn't lose its significance in a huge page with such a broad topic. I am sure we can work out something.OKtuck 04:49, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A Question

[edit]

Are V. T. Sambanthan and K. R. Somasundram of Sri Lankan Tamil origin ? Thanks RaveenS

Nope, they are Indian Tamils.. 11:51, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Has been deleted ?RaveenS 16:22, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently it has been deleted. However, I don't know the reason why. It did not violate any copyright rules or anything. I hope somebody can give me an answer. Does anybody agree on putting that page up again? Please reply.. OKtuck 11:51, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

May be it got canned because of Notability or importance or lack of references. If you write it again it should adress those concerns. Beacuse if I do a search on his name, all articles are based on your Wikipedia entry. So where did you get the information from, we can start from there. Just my suggestion. Hi there - can you state your sources for the information on Batu Kawan? I would like to verify some of the items. Many thanks docboat 07:05, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much for helping contribute to this article! Unfortunately, it is against our policy to use text from other publications without permission, so when citing news articles, etc., it would be best if you could use your own words instead of copying from the source. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Oktuck! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 10 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 2 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Your addition to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:37, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article V. Nagaraj has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A BLP for 3 years without sources. Can be rewritten if sources are found.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ricky81682 (talk) 20:28, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I see that you recently returned the text to Pengiran Anak Saleha, it was changed to a redirect because no reliable sources independent of the subject were able to be found to establish notability. If you are aware of any sources please add them to the article or return it to a redirect. Thanks J04n(talk page) 00:40, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Nattukkottai Chettiar Temple, Penang, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Nattukkottai Chettiar Temple Penang. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 17:46, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Nattukkottai Chettiar Temple Penang a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 15:07, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sri Poyatha Moorthi Temple, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.globalwarmingart.com/wiki/Wikipedia:Chitty.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) VWBot (talk) 14:13, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When you copy material from another article, please remember to attribute it to the original source, as described in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. VernoWhitney (talk) 01:58, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I'm part of the Wikipedia:Unreferenced BLP Rescue project, which is working to eliminate unreferenced biographies of living persons (UBLPs) from wikipedia. We are currently working on articles tagged as unreferenced in July 2008, which includes Rehman Rashid, an article you created. It would be a great help to us if you could make an attempt to source this article as soon as possible! This is also important because living persons from southeast Asia are more likely to put up for deletion when editors have difficulty finding sources, even though sources probably exist. Thanks for your help! cheers.--Milowenttalkblp-r 14:42, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. A tag has been placed on Kishu Tirathrai requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
