Image Tagging Image:Commie.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Commie.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use GFDL to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use article name or fairuse. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Kaiserb 04:24, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why remove Podgorica map?

[edit]

I am wondering why you removed the map from the Podgorica article. I firmly believe that most native English-speakers are very unfamiliar with the Balkans and a map is indispensible. I will revert Podgorica to its earlier version. Thanks. Madman 19:50, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Milo Djukanovic

[edit]

I saw your message on the Milo Djukanovic talk page. I agree that the article is biased against him. I actually removed some of it in my edits on June 6, but there is still a lot left. I look forward to seeing your upcoming edits to the article. Just be careful to cite sources and don't delete all the criticisms. Academic Challenger 22:42, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:BudvaRivieraMap.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

I reverted your attempt to change the license on this image. There's no evidence for either CopyrightedFreeUse or GFDL because you haven't given us the source of the image. You say it's from "DBO Advertising Agency." Is this image online somewhere? Did you scan it from a map? What makes you think either of those licenses applies? Thanks. howcheng {chat} 06:33, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It depends on the copyright laws in Montenegro, but I'm guessing that because it's relatively recent, DBO owns the copyright to the image. You used their image and in U.S. law, copyright extends to derivative works, meaning your version is still covered under their copyright (I don't know the specifics of Montenegro law but I'll bet it's similar). The only way you can create a similar map is to start with a free use version (such as Image:Montenegro municipalities.png) and draw the cities and roads on. Does that make sense? Good luck. howcheng {chat} 15:47, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Bojan Marovic.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bojan Marovic.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. It's great that you updated Montenegro maps. However, there seems to be a problem with Image:Bar-Position.PNG. I don't see the image neither in Firefox nor in IE6, although the thumb in Commons:Category:Maps of Montenegro is OK. I'm not sure whether it's something wrong with my browser, or the image was corrupted somehow (it's the first in alphabetic order); could you check and re-upload if necessary? Orphaned fair use image (Image:Logo-TelecomMontenegro.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo-TelecomMontenegro.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. License tagging for Image:PGairport exterior 2.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:PGairport exterior 2.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:440_pogled_ajfelovog_tornja.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 11:05, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Hi Nije bitno...!
We thank you for uploading Image:LYPG diagram.png, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Unless you can help by adding a copyright tag, it may be deleted by an Administrator. If you know this information, then we urge you to add a copyright tag to the image description page. We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

 • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:PGairport.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
 • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Image:PGairport.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Niels? en | nl 15:40, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Plantaze-logo.JPG. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

 • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
 • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Thanks for uploading File:PG neighbourhoods.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like PD-self (to release all rights), CC-by-sa-3.0 (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 11:22, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed this image on the List of Podgorica neighbourhoods and suburbs article and I must mention that the imagery on Google Earth is copyrighted and so are all works derising from it. It would be best to create a SVG image of municipality borders without the overlay to bypass the copyright requirements. Admiral Norton (talk) 12:23, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nije bitno... An article of yours is in AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maximus (nightclub). Joe Chill (talk) 17:26, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Coat of Arms of Kotor. Firstly thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic one which we already have a page - :{article}. Your enthusiasm is fantastic, but unfortunately your article has been nominated for deletion in accordance with our policies. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we'd love for you to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at :{article} - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest this deletion by adding hangon to the top of the article you created (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on Talk:Coat of Arms of Kotor explaining your position, although an administrator may still believe deletion to be necessary. Regardless, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, as doing such often creates unnecessary confusion. If you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Hang in there and try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions.

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Nije bitno...! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the unreferencedBLP tag. Here is the article:

Hey, what's up? I wanted to ask you if there is a way to have different version of Star Alliance page. What I mean is all the info we gather for Visa is from this web site: http://www.staralliance.com/en/services/visa-and-health/

But now when you click "Get Information" it shows at the same page so you can't link it like this one: http://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_website_client.cgi?SpecData=1&VISA=1&HEALTH=1&NA=RS&AR=00&DE=BD&EM=RS&TR=00&VT=00&PASSTYPES=TYPE&user=STAR&subuser=STAR

Fair use rationale for File:KAPlogo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:KAPlogo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Courcelles 08:40, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Bojan Marovic.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Bojan Marovic.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. A tag has been placed on File:BudvaRivieraMap.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:NewFlagPG.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:NewFlagPG.jpg, which you've attributed to Srdjan Marlovic. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

 • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
 • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add OTRS pending to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as non-free fair use or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy.
