Speedy deletion nomination of Hi-Jet Helicopter Services
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hi-Jet Helicopter Services requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. AllyD (talk) 16:12, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Hello Nardisoero,
It seems to me that an article you worked on, Moengo, Suriname, may be copied from http://www.marwina.nl/index.php?page=moengo. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.
It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.
Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 09:58, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Ushau97. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Moengo, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Ushau97 talk 10:01, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
The article Mitchel Wongsodikromo has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Way2veers 20:25, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Copyright policies
[edit]Hello Nardisoero. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, as with Moengo, Suriname, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take or translate directly as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:13, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Hi-Jet Helicopter Services. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Your addition to Surinam Airways has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. Hello Jetstreamer would http://www.aahs-online.org/journals/jrnl_image.php?jrnl=v57n1&image=6 be a reliable source in your eyes then? How can I use historical material that is not on the internet yet? Do I need to make copies of my historic papers or books? (Nardisoero (talk) 22:07, 21 May 2013 (UTC)) yours sincerely Talk 00:07, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hi there, Nardisoero. For me, the link above is not useful because an image proves nothing (this is similiar to using any image hosted at www
.airliners as a reliable source). You need to use sources falling into the scope of WP:RELIABLE. For instance, any article from Flight International is widely-considered as reliable. I understand that you want to expand tons of articles, but care must be taken regarding the verifiability policy, and also considering that not every published source, either printed or online, is a reliable source. BTW, my feeling is that the source you used in this reversion is on the border of reliability. I'll raise this question here at your talk page, immediately below this comment. Please do not remove the feedback other editors will provide. I'll be watching your talk page from now on, so the discussion between you an me stays in a single place. Regards.--Jetstreamer Talk 22:38, 21 May 2013 (UTC).net

- I tend to agree with Jetstreamer that the image is not a reliable source - in particular not for the statement it was cited for, the 1960 plane crash - the text accompanying the image doesn't mention that crash at all. The article which this image accompanied, Operation Grasshopper: the opening of the inland of Suriname through the air, may be a reliable source; the Reliable sources noticeboard would indeed be the place to ask about that. By the way, it may be better to discuss such content disputes at the corresponding article's talk page instead of a user talk page. Huon (talk) 23:34, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the input. Actually, I started a similar discussion at Surinam Airways, where I'm still waiting for a response. Nevertheless, given that Nardisoero (talk · contribs) asked about the reliability for several sources here, the discussion grew up here too. Again, thanks. I appreciate your feedback.--Jetstreamer Talk 23:44, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello Nardisoero. Just wanted to remind you to sign your posts. Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

- You expressed at my talk page your intentions to cooperate in building Surinam Airways up. However, some of your recent edits were misguided, in most of the cases for not respecting the guidelines of either the Aviation project or the manual of style, i.e. with this edit, where overkill issues arose. I'm asking you again in a nice manner to discuss the changes, here, at your talkpage, or at the article's talk page. Do you think you can do this? Speedy deletion nomination of Hi-Jet Helicopter Services
[edit]Hello Nardisoero,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hi-Jet Helicopter Services for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ad Orientem (talk) 03:12, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Hi-Jet Helicopter Services, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.hi-jethelicopters.com/about-us/.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 04:26, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

If this was not your intention, then please always remember to log in when editing. Thank you. King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 21:39, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
Deletion discussion about Hi-Jet Helicopter Services
[edit]Hello, Nardisoero,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Hi-Jet Helicopter Services should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hi-Jet Helicopter Services .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks, Ad Orientem (talk) 02:55, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

[edit]You keep adding unsourced content. This time, the edits you made to the article (such as this one) included just a single reference for two entire paragraphs that were introduced and another one that was expanded. Hello
[edit]I noticed you made several edits recently to List of aircraft carriers in service. First off, thanks for contributing, I try to maintain that page myself occasionally and any help is appreciated. Unfortunately, I had to correct many of your edits;
- Several of them created red-links, which we try to avoid if possible.
- Some of your edits weren't particularly encyclopaedic, for example; there is a ship listed as being "planned or under construction", its' type of propulsion is currently unknown, so you added;
Nuclear?
. If we don't know, it's better to just put:tbd
. - It appears you didn't use the "Show preview" button, before saving some of your edits. You will find it makes your life much easier to use that function, (or even your sandbox if needed).
- And lastly, but certainly still important... could you please leave edit summaries with your edits? It makes sorting through the edit history a lot easier.
Anyways, please don't take this as me trying to give you a hard time. I'm glad you want to work on that article, and I'm happy to work with you. Thank again. Cheers! - theWOLFchild 09:11, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

Just so you know, Category:Caribbean Airlines is the category for Caribbean Airlines, the flag carrier of Trinidad and Tobago, not a category for all airlines based in the Caribbean. Airlines are categorized by country, not region. oknazevad (talk) 11:45, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:58, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
Dear Wikipedian, you recently voted in the ArbCom election. Your username, along with around 155 other usernames of your fellow Wikipedians, was randomly selected from the 2000+ Wikipedians who voted this year, with the help of one of the election-commissioners. If you are willing, could you please participate (at your option either on-wiki via userspace or off-wiki via email) in an exit poll, and answer some questions about how you decided amongst the ArbCom candidates?
If you decide to participate in this exit poll, the statistical results will be published in the Signpost, an online newspaper with over 1000 Wikipedians among the readership. There are about twelve questions, which have alphanumerical answers; it should take you a few minutes to complete the exit poll questionnaire, and will help improve Wikipedia by giving future candidates information about what you think is important. This is only an unofficial survey, and will have no impact on your actual vote during this election, nor in any future election.
All questions are individually optional, and this entire exit poll itself is also entirely optional, though if you choose not to participate, I would appreciate a brief reply indicating why you decided not to take part (see Question Zero). Thanks for being a Wikipedian
The questionnaire
[edit]Dear Wikipedian, please fill out these questions -- at your option via usertalk or via email, see Detailed Instructions at the end of the twelve questions -- by putting the appropriate answer in the blanks provided. If you decide not to answer a question (all questions are optional), please put the reason down: "undecided" / "private information" / "prefer not to answer" / "question is not well-posed" / "other: please specify". Although the Signpost cannot guarantee that complex answers can be processed for publication, it will help us improve future exit polls, if you give us comments about why you could not answer specific questions.

Processing of responses will be performed in batches of ten, prior to publication in the Signpost. GamerPro64 will be processing the email-based answers, and will strive to maintain the privacy of your answers (as well as your email address and the associated IP address typically found in the email-headers), though of course as a volunteer effort, we cannot legally guarantee that GamerPro64 will have a system free from computer virii, we cannot legally guarantee that GamerPro64 will resist hypothetical bribes offered by the KGB/NSA/MI6 to reveal your secrets, and we cannot legally guarantee that GamerPro64 will make no mistakes. If you choose to answer on-wiki, your answers will be visible to other Wikipedians. If you choose to answer via email, your answers will be sent unencrypted over the internet, and we will do our best to protect your privacy, but unencrypted email is inherently an improper mechanism for doing so. Sorry! :-) |
We do promise to try hard, not to make any mistakes, in the processing and presentation of your answers. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact column-editor GamerPro64, copy-editor 75.108.94.227, or copy-editor Ryk72. Thanks for reading, and thanks for helping Wikipedia. Request regarding your edits on the badminton related articles.
[edit]I know that your intentions are to enhance the quality of badminton articles but, in reality, you are doing them a great disservice. Like any other fields of articles, there are conventions followed for badminton articles as well. If you want to do something differently then please discuss it on the 'talk' page of that article. e.g.
a) What's the point of listing 10 categories under the player's titles when he/she has just won titles under one or two categories? That will only confuse readers. Why change the already present shades for segregating tournament categories? And what's the point in listing those 10 categories twice back-to-back? Here's what you are doing on the pages of badminton players:
- World Championships
- Super Series Masters Finals
- Super Series Premier
- Super Series
- Grand Prix Gold
- Grand Prix
- International Challenge
- International Series
- Future Series
- BWF Team Events
- Key
BWF World Championships |
BWF Super Series Masters Finals |
BWF Super Series Premier |
BWF Super Series |
BWF Grand Prix Gold |
BWF Grand Prix |
BWF International Challenge |
BWF International Series |
BWF Future Series |
BWF Team Events |
In short, please go through the already present wiki articles, e.g. Saina Nehwal. And try to improve/expand other players' 'Career titles & runners-up' section or 'Performance timeline' section along the lines of it. Thanks.-NitinMlk (talk) 02:56, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Nardisoero, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:36, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. - theWOLFchild 21:06, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
Edit Summary
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! - theWOLFchild 21:07, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
Addt'l note
[edit]Looking at your contributions, I can't tell if you have ever left a legitimate edit summary, one that actually explains the changes you're making to any given article. One thing is for certain however, and that is you are clearly abusing the "minor edit" function. There are numerous significant edits in your history that you have marked as 'minor' when they most definitely are not. When you make mass changes or numerous consecutive edits to an article, other contributors and watchers of that article have no idea what you're doing and have to go through each individual edit to ensure you haven't made any errors or violated any editing guidelines. This just serves to create needless work for your fellow editors, which goes against the spirit of collaboration. Please abide by the edit summary guidelines. Thank you. - theWOLFchild 21:43, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

Wiki goes Caribbean

Thanks for signing up for this project. It is a very busy and active project with lots going on and we can always use more help and especially a fresh set of eyes. If you haven't done so already you might want to add Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft to your watch list as this is where much of the background discussion occurs. You may also want to watch Wikipedia:New articles (Aircraft) as this is where newly created articles get listed for peer review. Having a look over these new articles is a great way to get a feel for how things are done on the project and also most new articles need reviewing anyway. If you have any questions you can leave me a note or post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft, either way you will get a quick response. - Ahunt (talk) 16:48, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Antino
Ymnes (talk) 18:23, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

Surinamese National Badminton Club Championships moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Surinamese National Badminton Club Championships, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Thanks for uploading File:Ramsewak Sankar.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. Aakarshi Kashyap
[edit]Hi Nardisoero, thank you for your contribution to Aakarshi Kashyap article. But, since the article is a biography of living person, all the statement should be support by inline citation, and all material without sources should be removed immediately. Your editing also violates the WP:NOT. There is usually no need to write articles about things with no historical significance whatsoever. There are also some errors on your editing:
- Subject name consistency. Sometimes you mentioned Aakarshi and sometimes you mentioned Kashyap as subject in sentences.
- Linking, do not linking partially. Prakash Padukone Academy.
- In November 2016, Aakarshi won against Paranali Karani in the US$17500 Tata Open India International Challenge. Per tournamentsoftware.com she won the women's singles qualification of 2016 India International Challenge. She didn't win the US$17500 Tata Open India International Challenge.
- Aakarshi lost against the London Games Bronze Medallist. No need to use capital letters in bronze medalist.
- In November 2017 Aakarshi lost against the...; In January 2018 she won the top prize.... Use comma (,) ex: In November 2017, Aakarshi lost against the...
- Citing sources. Please use template Template:Cite news or Template:Cite web.
- Avoid writing with all caps.
- Tournament title. Doesn't need to mention tournament sponsor, and year first then the tournament title. Ex: YONEX-SUNRISE India Open 2022 -> 2022 India Open.
- She reached the final of the Uganda International, beating Ugandan Brenda Awor, Brazilian Fabiana Silva, Bulgarian Linda Zetchiri, and compatriot Anupama Upadhyaya on her way to the final. No need to mention all players opponent in her route to the final.
Based on the reasons above, I will delete your edits per BLP. If you have finished fixing the errors, feel free to post again. Stvbastian (talk) 12:38, 20 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Nardisoero! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Sören Opti that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Marie Marvingt into Fighter pilot. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:05, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
Football statistics in Suriname
[edit]Hi, you probably don't know me, but I had noticed that you were often active in Surinamese football. I just created a page on Guno Hoen who was active in the 1940s and 1950s. The normal stat sites like worldfootball do not have any information on him probably because it was a long time ago. The problem is that the stats are now sourced from Mr Hoen himself (and he seems to have forgotten the exact numbers as well). Sadly, that exposes the article to hit-and-run taggers who complain about primary sources, but I can't seem to find anything and I'm no football expert.
Adding a ping to Gidonb, because he knows a lot about Dutch football, so maybe he can help as well. KittenKlub (talk) 09:44, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

Nason Airstrip moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Nason Airstrip, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Translation Request
[edit]Hello! I recently wrote the article about the Brazil–Suriname border and came across Conrad Carel Käyser while doing my research. Unfortunately, I can't find any English language articles about him so I can't write his article. Would you be open to translating his wikipedia page from Dutch? I unfortunately have no knowledge of Dutch. I believe he's a semi-important character in Suriname's history as his expedition, detailed in "Verslag der Corantijn-expeditie (19 Juli 1910 - 1 April 1911)", was directly responsible for setting Suriname's border with Brazil.
