Please help me with... getting Robert Edward Gurney page live on Wikipedia. I have finished it.

I have moved the draft back to Draft:Robert Edward Gurney; please don't put it into project space ("Wikipedia:...") again, it is not a project page. You can submit it for review by adding the code {{subst:submit}} to the top of the page, but in its present state it will be rejected for insufficient demonstration of notability and lack of sources, not to mention excessive trivia and non-encyclopedic language. The lead section (above the table of contents) is pretty much okay, or would be if it were sourced; the rest simply doesn't belong on Wikipedia in any form. I would encourage you to read Your first article and rewrite the whole thing in line with Wikipedia's standards. Yunshui ^雲 _水 13:49, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You aren't understanding what we're meaning by WP:Sourcing.

What you're doing right now is just footnoting terms to Wikipedia articles, which is unnecessary because instead we just use wikilinks like so: Swansea. So first off, you need to remove any footnote to another Wikipedia article and just wikilink it.

So far as sourcing, for example when you say:

While Medical Officer of health for West Glamorgan he carried out research into stammering[14] in school-children, and together with Professor C. E. M. Hansel[15] he built a device for the treatment of stammering.

What we're not asking for is that you footnote stammering and C. E. M. Hansel (again, just wikilink them), we're asking that you cite a book, news, or journal article which proves the fact that Donovan conducted this research.

Let us know if you have further questions, but you need to understand that you have to cite your facts. You can't just claim things about Dononvan and provide no evidence. These facts came from somewhere, so where did you get these facts from?
