When you've been reverted
[edit]You don't restore your edits, no matter how sure you are that they benefit the page. Read WP:BRD, read WP:CONSENSUS. Take your disagreements to the talk page. You need to brush up on editing etiquette, because you're not starting off here on the right foot. Also familiarise yourself with how templates work on Wikipedia, because you don't seem to be aware. Read the things users link you to. Ss112 12:44, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
In case it needed further explanation for you: Template:Duration is intended for use inside templates that emit microformats to make the duration parsable by computer programs. It has no beneficial use otherwise. We don't need to use templates on Wikipedia for the sake of using templates. Ss112 12:47, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Walk Between Worlds (album), you may be blocked from editing. Ss112 13:11, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- You haven't stated to readers the necessity of the durations being there, so they just appear random. Are you aware of what singles sections on album articles usually contain? They don't normally contain durations. Practically every single is released in an edit these days. It's nothing new or special—and besides, you haven't pointed out these are edits to anybody. All you've added is "(4:00)" next to the title of the song. We don't need to state durations outside of track listings for pretty much every article. Ss112 13:18, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
Welcome

- Hi Maxwel.Rugby and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions to the project. I noticed that you got into a WP:content dispute with another editor. This is not unusual, people have disagreements all the time. But we try not to get into a pattern of reverting edits multiple times. This is called edit warring and it is almost never constructive. The usual way we deal with disagreements is that once an edit is reverted, assuming you think the reversion was incorrect, we take the dispute to the article talk page and sort it out there. In all cases WP:CONSENSUS is what we live and die by. The only exceptions to this are naked vandalism, serious violations of our guidelines involving biographies or living persons (WP:BLP) and obvious copyright violations. If you have any questions or concerns please feel to contact me on my talk page or you can ping me. I am an administrator and am here to help. Again welcome to Wikipedia and happy editing! -Ad Orientem (talk) 15:15, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
