This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I've noticed recently that my IP (85.255.234.204) has been blocked for block evasion. I occasionally use a VPN, but always turn it off when I'm editing Wikipedia due to the completely understandable rule against proxies, and I believe this could be where any confusion originates. I have never tried to vandalise Wikipedia in any way, and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Decline reason:

If your VPN is off, you may also need to clear your browser cache. It can take up to 24 hours for the block to clear. 331dot (talk) 18:23, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi. I noticed you created redirects such as 2024 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg with edit summaries indicating you did so only to remove redlinks. I would highly encourage you to read WP:REDLINK, specifically the part where it says "In general, a red link should remain in an article if there is a reasonable expectation that the article in question will eventually be created; remove red links if and only if Wikipedia should not have any coverage on the subject." Redlinks encourage article creation, as people will see a blue link and think that an article already exists. Redlinks are red such that they grab the attention of editors who are able and willing to create such articles. May I kindly ask that you stop creating redirects from redlinked race articles? ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  23:00, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, will do, sorry for any inconvenience. I mainly do it just out of a force of compulsion and because other series such as Formula One etc. do have redirects for future races which get expanded near race weekend. Appreciate the message mate! MaxLikesStuff (talk) 01:05, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for taking a look at the article. Can you give specific advice on what's wrong with the sources? They are fairly consistent with the articles for the last two championships, many of the articles referenced are separate from Formula E itself (such as Autosport and The Race which are very well-informed when it comes to Formula E) and they corroborate what is written. If there is something glaringly obviously wrong with them, I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks in advance. MaxLikesStuff (talk) 00:19, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Most of the sources were talking about Formula E without giving any look at the event. I don't also know why you use The Race as a source. Is it reliable? Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 01:47, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not much can be written about the events just yet because the season is starting in six months. Major changes are happening to Formula E itself for next season, which are references in the Wikipedia article with citations.
Whilst it would be great if we could use The Guardian and other mainstream news sources for this article, they simply do not cover Formula E that much. especially in the pre-season. That’s not to say that it isn’t notable, as it gets significant coverage amongst motorsport-related publications.
The Race is reliable, its main journalist for Formula E, Sam Smith, has insider information in the Formula E paddock and therefore can give good information on what is planned for the Championship. Either way, all non-Formula E sources cited are commentaries on official press releases from Formula E, and therefore write about what is definitely planned by Formula E for next season.
