Control copyright icon Hello Mastashat! Your additions to Draft:Zenith Bank Tech Fair have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:18, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for that @Diannaa, but it was sourced. The source Zenith Bank is indepthly translated. Check the page and the original work. Anyways, thanks for your concern. Mastashat (talk) 21:22, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
@Diannaa sorry for the second pinging. It seems this edit should be reverted. Edit.
This Edit is not reliable and was just a mirror blog copied from zenith bank official website. Mastashat (talk) 21:27, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
It's not unusual for the same content to be present at multiple locations online. The same content is also present at https://www.zenithbank.com/media/news/zenith-bank-holds-third-edition-of-tech-fair-future-forward-30, and is marked as "© 2022 Zenith Bank PLC" so you can't copy from there either. — Diannaa (talk) 21:35, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nicholas Tagbo, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages African, Principal and Pioneer. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Ibrahim Zanna Sunoma moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Ibrahim Zanna Sunoma. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and Children legislators are not inherently notable and this subject does not meet the general notability guidelines independently. Please, use Wikipedia's Article for Creation. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Reading Beans (talk) 09:25, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on I was a Teen Rock Star, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 27 is my favorite number. You can ask me why here. 19:19, 6 December 2023 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about It Can Now be Told

Hello Mastashat, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, It Can Now be Told, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/It Can Now be Told.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Significa liberdade}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Olayemi Akinwumi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.fulokoja.edu.ng/staff.php?i=1017&sn=olayemi-akinwumi. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Women in Red

Hi there, Mastashat, and welcome to Women in Red. I'm really impressed to see how many articles you have created in the short time you have been editing on Wikipedia, mostly about Nigeria. I notice you have created at least one women's biography as well as a book written by a woman. I hope there will be many more. It you have not already done so, you might find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 08:18, 10 December 2023 (UTC)

Speedy tagging

Hello Mastashat -- I note that you are tagging lots of articles for speedy deletion under various categories, but I've had to decline more than one over the past few days. For example:

  • A7 should only be used for articles where there is no claim of significance at all, not for articles where the subject might not meet notability requirements for a specific topic, or where there's only a single source present
  • G1 should only be used for complete random gibberish
  • G3 should only be used for obvious jokes/hoaxes.

Please re-read the criteria carefully and make sure you understand them, before doing any more speedy tagging. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 02:03, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for that @Espresso Addict but I don't think I've misplaced a tag on an article that seems to be irresponsive.
Check the edit summary and see Nominators Withdrawal before your review.
For example, Rachel Malone, a mere google search doesn't claim any notability. It is important one doesn't waste time looking for sources. A judge without notable significant work in the court of law. Once more and that is for your concern. Remember, this user assumes good faith. Best, Mastashat (talk) 02:09, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
Placing tags and then withdrawing them is just as disruptive. Admins look at the speedy-nominated category all the time and waste time assessing articles that should not have been tagged in the first place. As I wrote above, A7 is not for articles where there is any claim of significance at all. Espresso Addict (talk) 02:16, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
Much grateful for your advice. I will really be pleased just like my user page addresses for correction of any mistake. I accept all without looking down. Thanks admin, a word Barnstar for you. December, Best, Mastashat (talk) 02:24, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Jay_Bloom, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Mastashat, please do not add templates that were removed like you did. Further, drive by tagging isn't always constructive. I have made copy edits, and the article now reads completely neutral, and is properly sourced. Please do not continue to edit the page unconstructively. Cray04 (talk) 06:25, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

Draft keep getting rejected

Hello

I really need to know why my article keep getting rejected. This individual is notable enough to get a Wikipedia page. Please help me check the issue with this draft. thanks so much.

See link to the draft below. i will so much appreciate your kind response. Thanks once again

Draft:Naomi Mac - Wikipedia Princeisrael2728 (talk) 11:55, 14 December 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for that @Princeisrael2728. Remember that Wikipedia is not a blog and writing about an artist requires WP:GNG, WP: MUSICBIO, Sources cited should be WP: INDEPENDENT on the subject.
Seeing the article cited "Naomi said that... or says Naomi is just blog post even though it comes from reliable source.
Please help rewrite the Naomi Mac to meet Notability.
Find Awards per music and her appearances. avoid citing interviews and press releases.
I will see what I can do to the page. Mastashat (talk) 12:17, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
Wow.. this is well understood sir. I so much appreciate your clear response.
I will so much appreciate if you can help work on the page sir. Thank You so much Princeisrael2728 (talk) 12:32, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
@Mastashat Thanks once again Princeisrael2728 (talk) 12:33, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
It will also be good if you state where you met the subject. If you are paid or you are among her team. Declare it here or on the articles talk page. It also can be a criteria for rejection. Best, Mastashat (talk) 12:46, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
@Mastashat I haven't met her before and I don't know her... I was just trying to create new pages on Wikipedia because this is my first after reading about Wikipedia
I later reached out to her to confirm some information about her like her name, DOB, Husband's name etc Princeisrael2728 (talk) 14:53, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
@Princeisrael2728 (talk page watcher) All you have to do is to prove that she passes WP:NMUSICIAN. Do not embellish the draft with extra facts for which you have no referencing. Remove bellanaija.com lindaikejisblog.com These are not reliable sources. Either find other references for those facts or remove the facts.
With regard to your other references, they must be independent of her, have significant coverage about her (three or more real paragraphs), and in Reliable sources.
You have chosen the most difficult task, a biography, especially since you are new to Wikipedia. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 15:05, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
Thanks so much sir for your advice. I so much appreciate it sir.
Upon checking sir, I discover she passed number 9 of the WP:NMUSICIAN
  1. as won first, second, or third place in a major music competit)
  2. ion.
She came second in Nigeria Idol 2011
She pass number 9 of Wikipedia:NMUSICIAN (Has won first, second, or third place in a major music competition)
he came second in Nigerian Idol 2011
  1. Has won first, second, or third place in a major music competit). She came second in Nigeria Idol 2011

Blocked as a sockpuppet

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Wise charly per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Hilspress. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

I humbly accept all allegation made on me as a I first would like to apologize to the entire Wikipedia community and editors for my actions. I previously used the accounts listed earlier when I was a novice. I express my humility and humility and awaits for any action taking if I will be unblocked.Mastashat (talk) 20:22, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

Decline reason:

No chance of unblocking while you continue to demonstrate you haven't the slightest intention of abiding by Wikipedia policies. Your best bet is to go six months with zero edits, then apply under WP:SO. At that point, you'll need to work hard to convince the entire community that you've changed and plan to start abiding by our policies. This would be bolstered if you spend at least the next six months constructively editing another wikimedia project. Yamla (talk) 21:22, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Block additional

I have sincerely accept to stay for six months as punishment for my disruptive behavior towards Wikipedia. But while I stay on the other Wikipedia editing. I want to ask whether an editor who did disruptive writings on Wikipedia but return as good faith should be blocked because of his former editings which he has dropped. This question may be requested to Yamla and DatGuy. Thanks. Best, Mastashat (talk) 13:56, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

You don't get to make demands. Nor is there enough information here to even understand what you are talking about. --Yamla (talk) 13:57, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for your response but I want you to tell me whether a non disruptive user using an IP address already checked as not good to contributing to Wikipedia also be blocked as sockpuppet.
Even if you don't want to hear me out. We are all humans and also deserves the right to be heard. We are not stuck on Wikipedia because we want to edit for a community we share love for. Please answer my simple and humble question. Best, Mastashat (talk) 14:01, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
There's not enough information here for me to take any action. --Yamla (talk) 14:06, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
