Richard E. Meyer Biography
[edit]Marilyn7452 - The article you recently created on Richard E. Meyer was proposed for deletion by another editor on the grounds that the article was not written along WP guidelines and read like an obituary. I removed the PROD because I think the article can be improved to meet WP standards. Absent some improvements to the article, it is likely to be nominated for deletion again. As a new editor, if you are serious about contributing to WP, you can make improvements to the article that will help you learn more about WP guidelines, policies and projects.
You'll note that I added the Biography Project to the article talk page. This alerts all editors interested in biography articles that the article is a biography. One of the first things you should do is review the Biography Project's Manual of Style to see how biographies are laid out and identify those elements of this the Meyer article that can be changed to better fit WP style.
My quick review of sources reveal there are probably sufficient sources for Meyer to be notable, but you should familarize yourself with WP:GNG, Wikipedia:Notability (people) and WP:Verify to make sure you are including the right kinds of sources in the article.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page.--Mike Cline (talk) 18:54, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Please refrain from doing so and review the various way in which you can improve the article. Thanks--Mike Cline (talk) 20:47, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
