Manthara, you are invited to the Teahouse!
[edit]Hi Manthara! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. We hope to see you there!

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:10, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Shpsk.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Shpsk.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:34, 31 August 2018 (UTC)

Hate You Romeo moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Hate You Romeo, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Shpskasargodu.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Shpskasargodu.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nthep (talk) 14:12, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

The article Plus Minus has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable short film. No coverage at all aside from some WP:ROUTINE reporting about the film's then-upcoming release.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 03:11, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

ArbCom 2018 election voter message
[edit]Hello, Manthara. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

- @Cyphoidbomb, I haven't changed the content, I have converted the INT into USD using "INRConvert" tool.
Manthara (talk) 10:01, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
- There are three references in the article that have differing opinions on the gross. This one says it grossed over ₹60 crore. This one says that it was over 70 crore. This one estimates the gross at 75 crore. That's why the content was being presented as a range. Instead, you unilaterally decided to ignore the other two estimates and present an absolute value, and conveniently, you chose the higher number. There are no absolutes in Indian film financials. They're all estimates. So your presentation of an unsourced absolute value is not constructive. Also, we don't use currency conversions in the infobox. We have tens of thousands of articles where the financial focus is in Indian rupees. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:35, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
Image without license
[edit]Unspecified source/license for File:KGF(soundtrack)poster.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:KGF(soundtrack)poster.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (Talk • Contribs • Owner) 16:01, 3 December 2018 (UTC)

Re: this, merely finding a random website that says that a film made X amount is not the same as establishing that a reliable source felt that the film made X amount. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Speedy deletion nomination of Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Party
[edit]A tag has been placed on Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Party requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Redirect created as a result of a wrongful, undiscussed and unsourced move.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Indian General Elections
[edit]why exactly do you think Jan Ki Baat and Republic is not an "acclaimed source" but C-voter is? by what logic? Jan Ki Baat has got more state elections right that C-voter: Karnataka, Gujarat, Tripura, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh were predicted correctly by Jan Ki Baat. What more do you want?
and exactly how do YOU get to decide what is a "renowned source" and what is not? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whiny teenager (talk • contribs) 21:35, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
- reUser:Whiny teenager, Renowned sources are decided as per the discussions in the Wikipedia. I didn't say that Jan Ki Baat is wrong or C-Voter is right. You have tagged this article for speedy deletion, with a reason of "notability". I assume that you mean "lack of notability", which is not a recognized speedy deletion criterion. Please only use speedy deletion reasons listed in CSD. ----Anthony Bradbury"talk" 17:52, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

ASN (soundtrack) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, ASN (soundtrack), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published.
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Rakshit Shetty.webp
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Rakshit Shetty.webp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Whpq (talk) 11:58, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Toxic (2025 film)
[edit]Hello Manthara, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Toxic (2025 film), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Toxic (2025 film).
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|CNMall41}}
. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Mysuru and Mangaluru data
[edit]Hello Manthara, hope you're doing well. You had presented a table comparing the usage of Bengaluru against Bangalore on various news websites on the Bengaluru RM. Can you prepare a similar table for Mysuru vs Mysore, and Mangaluru vs Mangalore, comparing the usage on the major English language Indian news websites, and if possible, major international news websites? I could not get Google to display the number of results, perhaps because I cannot perform the search on a PC. Using "desktop mode" on a mobile browser is of no help. Thank you and regards, TryKid [dubious – discuss] 15:48, 30 November 2024 (UTC)

- No, no RMs for anything other Bengaluru related ones currently, as far as I know. I think it would be better to have the data examined and ready before opening one. This article lists the renamed cities from ten years ago, Mysuru and Mangaluru are the next most populous ones. regards, TryKid [dubious – discuss] 17:33, 30 November 2024 (UTC)

- Another request, I hope you don't mind. Currently, Atal Setu is a disambiguation page, and Mumbai's Atal Setu is at Mumbai Trans Harbour Link. Can you assess which one is the common name? I'm also reasonably certain that the Mumbai bridge is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the Atal Setu, so if that's also the common name, the current disambig page can be moved to "Atal Setu (disambiguation)". regards, TryKid [dubious – discuss] 21:16, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, was out of town and will be for few more days. Most likely I won't be able to collate the data. If you are in mobile device, you can still get the data. Just switch to Desktop w, and perform any search in the below format:
- site:jamaica-gleaner.com bangalore after:2023-10-31
- Then click on Tools at the right corner, you will get the number of results. Mantharatalk 13:27, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, that worked! Thanks a lot again, and I apologise for bothering you about it. I should have tried tinkering around with it more before burdening you with this. regards, TryKid [dubious – discuss] 07:04, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
