A tag has been placed on Nickky Miller requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Help on the way

[edit]

In what form do you want help? Please specify. Thanks, ManishEarthTalkStalk 08:17, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If it has to do with Nickky Miller, first read Wikipedia:NOTABLE. ManishEarthTalkStalk 08:21, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it does.
Just want help on the viability/acceptability of the page "luckycharm1/Nickky Miller" (which I intend to re-make as "Nickky Miller" which was deleted) .

I have started to rewrite this page here first ... Thanks

I have now used the Tommy Lee page as a "copy" to start from. I have read Wikipedia:NOTABLE. However I would like to know what if anything is not right, and why so that I can correct. Thanks
Note: Use colons to reply, instead of making new sections. ManishEarthTalkStalk 08:44, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Make sure you use References. ManishEarthTalkStalk 08:50, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean that I should create a Reference section with links to these said references for as much as possible that is written?

Not exactly. Use the <ref> tag to mark references, and add <references/> to the end of the page. Read WP:REF for more info on refs. ManishEarthTalkStalk

For example, Here is some text which is referenced [1] It was done like this:
Here is some text which is referenced <ref>Taken from boomdeyada boomdeyada</ref>

  1. ^ Taken from boomdeyada boomdeyada

Ahhh, I see. That IS neat. If I do this should I be in a good position to re-do the original article/page "Nickky Miller"?

Note. By the way thanks so much for the example (makes it so much easier to understand)
The article SHOULD have enough content. Also ensure that Nickky is notable enough. Otherwise it'll be speedily deleted by the guidelines at WP:CSD#Articles. ManishEarthTalkStalk 10:19, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, and thanks for that. I will concentrate on the notability bit first, then do the references ... Thankyou. Luckycharm1 (talk) 11:50, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} advice on the talk page of your draft article. JohnCD (talk) 10:31, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks John. Luckycharm1 (talk) 11:50, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's a very simple reason that I deleted it — someone both redirected it to an existing page and nominated it for deletion as an implausible redirect. I deleted the page after noticing that there was a disambiguation page in existence. I apparently didn't pay attention; I had thought that you'd moved the page in your userspace to the disambiguation page, so I deleted it. If I'd paid better attention, I would have seen that this wasn't apparently a good faith move on the part of the nominator. My apologies for all of this; I've restored the page to the way it was last time you edited it. Nyttend (talk) 16:46, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That was quick Nyttend, and thank you very much Luckycharm1 (talk) 16:52, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You created it in mainspace; there's no good reason to have an article entitled "Luckycharm1/Nickky Miller (disambiguation)". It's plain from the page name and from your words in your first message that you meant to create it in your userspace; consequently, it's been moved to your userspace. You can find it at User:Luckycharm1/Nickky Miller (disambiguation). Nyttend (talk) 19:17, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Again my thanks, I have done it, but just wondered if there was a template for User pages as there is for the main pages ... vis template 'otherpeople' which does the main space.
Luckycharm1 (talk) 20:03, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what you mean. Could you give me an example of such a template? When you find the template, type the name of the template within brackets and place the letters "tl" and then the pipe character | between the left brackets and the name of the template. For example, if the name of the template were "Template:Main", you'd type {{tl|Main}}. Nyttend (talk) 20:24, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Sorry, I'm not sure what you are asking me here. I moved the page to your user space because that seemed to be what you were intending to do. (When you want to work on an article that isn't ready yet, you can create a holding page at User:Luckycharm1/Articlename, and when it is finished it can be moved into article space.)

I did not make any changes to the content of the article itself, so I don't know how to answer your question. ... discospinster talk 16:11, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
