Vandalism warning
Odd how that happens with different users doing the revert and the post. I think we are dealing with a small child loose on the family PC, so a block until his parents get home will hopefully be coming his way. Thanks for removing the vandalism on my userpage. I have returned the favor. Euryalus 11:39, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

True Info
Dear Miss LRadrama,
I COULD NOT FIND a direct email to you so I had to do it this way to contact you..
I read your letter on the My Talk section of Wikipedia. About me keep deleting some items on the SCI-FI CHANNEL(USA)....
Well to tell you. I Keep PUTTING these items of "non sci-fi" programs and the area of "Controversy" like Farscape Cancellation, John Edwards(the guy who can talk to the dead), etc. Somebody keeps deleting them and I keep putting them back in. However, I was THREATEN by somebody about putting these items back in. It seems that Wikipedia has a rule about putting items and RE-putting within a period of time of the same info. I did not know this was the case with Wikipedia. :( It seems that somebody does not like what info me and others put in the the USA's SCI-FI CHANNEL, which is not very flattery or saying good things about the SFC. THE ITEMS POSTED ARE TRUE however some people apparently don't like the truth to be told. I STRONGLY DISAGREE with leaving out truthful info however some other people of Wikipedia apparently don't want the truth. I suspect that they are connected with the SCI-FI CHANNEL in some way(it would not surprise it it was Bonnie Hammer herself).
I am going to have to figure out how to RE-INSERT this info without violating Wikipedia's edit policy.
Signed,
Spaceman42
P.S. Check out the Yahoo.com Groups of "Upset With SCI-FI CHANNEL".
- Hello, thanks for putting across your issues to me.
- Can I first tell you that I am MALE and not female, thankyou ;-).
- Yes, when putting 'true' info into an article, I think it best to discuss it in the talkpage for that article first, and providing proff (i.e. a link to another site first). Then, everyone will know that you're telling the truth, and it won't get deleted. Thanks, and that's Mr. Lradrama 11:34, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi
I didnt vandalise. Please give evidence I did. --Klerksdoorp 08:56, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, I'm not messing around playing games. You did vandalise, and if you click on this little number 1 here:[1] you have the evidence.
- You're edits are on the left - replacing the page with Fucking Jerk. My edits are on the right, showing the proper version I've reverted it to. End of story, stop vandalising. Thanks, Lradrama 09:00, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- I didnt vandalise that page this is so stupid. I didnt replace that page with a profanity and I want you to make a apology NOW. I am also not messing around. Say sorry please or I will report you. --Klerksdoorp 09:09, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- The evidence is there set in stone. You're account vandalised that page. Was it you or someone else working it. You provide evidence it isn't you. There are many people on Wikipedia who I can call to my assistance to sort this unnecessary mess out. Prove it. Go on. Lradrama 09:12, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Ok you kak huis ..., you want your evidence? Here we go,
1. More than 1 person uses this I.P
2. I would never vandalise
3. Why would I vandalise my article on my home town?
4. I didnt do anything
5. Make an apology NOW
OK, theres five reasons that prove it wasnt me. Now say sorry or else. --Klerksdoorp 09:20, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Now then, non of those PROVE it isn't you do they? Just saying I would never vandalise isn't good enough, and it sounds very much like I'm talking to a stroppy child really doesn't it? Also, it is not an IP address (which would look something like this: 1.221.33.445), you have an account. An account which has just been used to replace an article with the words Fucking Jerk. So listen, accept that you have vandalised this page, and start making sensible edits. Go on! If you make some really good edits, I'll congratulate you, and put a smile-message on your talk-page to make it look nice. Hows that? Yeah? Sounds good to me! :-) Lradrama 09:26, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Ok you blew it. You didnt apoligise so now you must face the consiquences. --Klerksdoorp 09:29, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Taylor Lautner
Hi,my name is katty3639. I just noticed that you recently had just edited the page of Taylor Lautner. I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind if I could edit the page a bit and I hope that you dont think that I'm intruding. You see I have all kinds of information that I have on Taylor and I just that you give me the chance to put it in. Thanks For Reading! ^_^ I hope that you can reply soon on Taylor's page or on my profile thingie. I'm new and I dont know what's going on..lol.
- Yeah, for sure, edit the article all you want! Put in all you know, and we'll be very grateful. You may ask me anything, but I may not know either, and if so, you can post your query at the Wikipedia:Help desk. Thanks for contacting me, and have a good time editing! Lradrama 18:30, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks!
Thanks so much for helping me and letting me edit the page!! ^___^ you are a really nice person and just thanks so much!

Higurashi vandalism
You reverted my edit (under the IP 72.64.55.167, which probably changed by now) on the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni article claiming it was vandalism. All I was doing was adding some consistency to category names that were originally added to the article separately. The first paragraph in each section confirmed that the new names were appropriate. Was there any specific reason for this, or was it accident? 71.251.181.57 00:54, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thankyou for bringing this incident to my attention. Mistakes are relatively frequent on RC Patrol from everybody who takes part, because we progress very swiftly. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. With regards, Lradrama 17:56, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
AIV
As a frequent RC Patroller, I would request you not to tell vandals (blatant or otherwise) about WP:AIV. Theres no reason to tell them that preventive action will be taken (at some point).
Keep fighting the good fight, xC | ☎ 09:59, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

- No problem. This was discussed sometime earlier, and as the message happens to be something in between a test4 and a test5(blocking template used by admins), it was decided it was more or less useless. Anyhow, you're doing great work on RCP :) Happy editing,xC | ☎ 10:04, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks for the compliment. You're also doing a fine job. The template in question has now been deleted, so I won't use it again. With regards, Lradrama 10:06, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oh it was just a template to notify vandals that they had been reported on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism (i.e. AIV). Because of the reason mentionned above, it is no longer in use. It was used when a vandal had been given a final warning and yet proceeded to vandalise. Lradrama 21:15, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

hi. sorry, i did'nt realise i had changed anything :s I was just messing around seeing how is worked on a random page.

Christijan Albers
I think you will find all the formula 1 websites are reporting Albers being fired. I ran out of time to put a source up, and was going to when I got back. It is there now. It says I have a warning too, why? For putting something on this site that is true??
- Ah, yes, the story has just started to appear on the websites now. Sorry about that, it's just that there are so many times when people just put lies on Wikipedia and thus people get really fed up of it. Yes, sorry about that. Do you want me to reference it for you? Lradrama 10:29, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Me and someone-else have referenced the edits. Sorry about the revert, and thankyou for your contributions. :-) Lradrama 10:43, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- You just need to remember that sometimes people, especially people like me who have a lot of contacts to do with F1, do find things out a lot quicker than most people do in regards to breaking news. Thanks for rectifying the situation.
Barnstar
Hey, thanks! That's both surprising and gratifying.
Just for kicks... take a look at the history to see what a vandal did to your barnstar half a minute after you gave it to me. It's kinda funny. Gscshoyru 12:16, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hehe yes they can do some daft things that make you smile those vandals don't they? Did you recieve the barnstar like that, or how I'd sent it? I bet you had a shock if it were the former... ;-) Lradrama 13:25, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- I got it your way, first, opened your userpage in a reminder to thank you, because I was dealing with the dude at the time, and saw the new messages alert again... and saw it. And I laughed. I don't think the vandals have enough brainpower to make their own personal, anit-barnstars. Gscshoyru 13:32, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

The word "drama" (see definition 5) has a somewhat negative connotation at Wikipedia. You could change your username to LRAthespian, for example. Mind you though that this is just my own personal opinion, technically there's nothing wrong with your username. —AldeBaer (c) 10:44, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, but can that be done without changing my account? Or will I have to start all over again? Lradrama 10:48, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- You can request a username change at WP:CHU. If the name change is approved, your contrib history will be transferred to the new account (which also means that for all edits you made, the old name will be replaced with the new name in all page histories). —AldeBaer (c) 11:23, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- OK, well if it proves to be a problem, I'll think about it. Lradrama 11:25, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
ExpertDesk
Hi. I'm trying to edit the page for Expertdesk and I noticed the title is capitalized incorrectly. Its listed as Expertdesk but the real name of the program is ExpertDesk with a capital "D" as well. Can you help? Thanks.IdentityDoctor 09:10, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again! Yes, you are correct, the title needs a capital 'D', but still remain as one word. Therefore, I would suggest using a tab on the menu at the top of the article/page which states move. It is inbetween history and watch on that menu. That's how to redirect the article to a new name. Fill in the new name in the top box that appears, and give your reasons for doing so in the second box - something like 'incorrect title due to the 'D' being lower-case.' Do you want me to do it for you? Lradrama 09:14, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
- Well done! Lradrama 10:22, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi Lradrama. I've noticed that you've made substancial edits to the 2004 Australia GP article. I think you should add references to the article incase someone tags it using the {{Unreferenced}} tag. A good place to get sources for a article like this is Autosport.com, as it has news articles dating back to 1999. Here's a link to F1 articles on Autosport that were written in March 2004. Scroll down to about 2nd - 3rd March for articles on the race weekend. I'm going on holiday on Saturday, but if you need any help with the article before then, contact me on my talkpage, and I'll respond as soon as possible. If you are going to extend it, follow the sort of style that is on the 2007 French Grand Prix article, as that is now on GA-status. Hope that helps! Davnel03 15:01, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for the tips! Happy editing! Lradrama 15:26, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Assistance required
{{help me}}
I've put this - {{subst:User:Voice of All/RC/monobook.js}} in my monobook.js for 'admin-like anti-vandal tools, but when I go to the history sections of articles and click 'compare selected versions' nothing has changed. I can't find any extra tools. Am I doing something wrong? Lradrama 20:57, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
- Okay two things. Do you have Lupin's tool? If not, you should use {{subst:User:Voice of All/RC/nolupin/monobook.js}}. Also, did you refresh youre cache? You click control and then F5. After looking at your history, I noticed you tried to install TW, but it didn't work. Did you refresh your cache those times or was it something else? Because TW is very useful. I (said) (did) 21:45, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help. I changed to {{subst:User:Voice of All/RC/nolupin/monobook.js}} because I don't use Lupin's tool. Yes, I tried to install TW before, but AzaToth said it wasn't compatible with Internet Explorer, which is what I use.
- I've refreshed my cache using Ctrl+5, and I now seem to have some extra tools. A date has appeared on the top-right of the page (don't know what that is for) and I've got a button that requests speedy deletion for an article. On editing, at the top of the screen, I have options which say [m], [w], t, t2, v, w, b, b2, s, s2 - and I don't know what they're for either.
- However, I do not seem to have a revert function at all. Lradrama 08:15, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- My first suggestion would be to get Mozilla Firefox. It's free, and has better performance than IE. But its your call. Also, TW includes oodles of fuctions that are very very nice.
- Now, if you look at a diff, I would presume the revert function would be there.
- However, I do not seem to have a revert function at all. Lradrama 08:15, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Further comment- I dont know what those are for either. You might want to hover your pointer over them. That might help? I (said) (did) 08:18, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I tried hovering over them but nothing appears. However, on looking at the bottom left of the screen (over the 'Start' button) it keeps on giving me error warnings and something to do with Javascript - maybe I need Java or something installed on this computer.
- When I look at the diffs, it's exactly the same as usual, with only the undo function available. Lradrama 08:24, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hm. Well then I don't know. You might want to ask User:Voice of All, since its his script. You could test the various tabs in your userspace, but if its AIV or something it could get troublesome.
- I got that too for some reason. I just ignore it. Again, I would suggest you seriously consider getting Firefox. I (said) (did) 08:26, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I'll try those ideas. Thanks for your help. Lradrama 08:29, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Your welcome. While I'm not a total expert on TW, if you have questions on it or anything else, I'd be happy to help. I (said) (did) 08:30, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
AfD noms removed
I recently noticed CocoaBeachBoy (talk · contribs) had been posting copy-and-pasted articles from the Internet, for which he has since been blocked. Rather than waste the WP community's time by nominating them all for deletion, I find it simpler to tag them all with prod. If you agree with my nominations, you are invited to tag the prod'd articles with Template:Prod-2. - Gilliam 10:59, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, I see, yes that's a good idea. I've tagged John B. Sams and Gary L. Parks with prod2 - they're the ones you mean aren't they? Lradrama 11:07, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. There are more of the like from the same sources, such as Herbert Beckington, Ellie B. Shuler Jr., Frank B. Campbell, Colby Broadwater, etc. At least one other prod has already been removed, so your endorsement is a big help. Thanks. - Gilliam 11:17, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome, glad I could help. I fully agree with all your prod-tags, so I've done them all. Lradrama 11:20, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

- Hello again! The answers to the questions are OK, but may need a bit of tweaking there and about. Instead of saying 'I'd like to delete pages ', put 'I'd like to work with the AfD to remove any articles that are considered vandalism or don't pass WP:NOT/WP:NOTE'. That makes you seem less power-hungry.
- Also, it may be wise to actually try and make a vandal change their ways when you get into an argument with one, no matter how badly it fails. Admins like to see that incentive.
- With just a bit more depth, and addressing those points above, your answers will be fine. With regards, Lradrama 16:26, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

hospital whatever
I re-added the prod tag to that Paki hospital's page. Once I removed the OR, the irrelevant facts, and the list of things that are in a hospital, it's definitely prodable. 72.128.82.211 18:46, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Can you please use the article's talkpage then to describe what you think makes the article prodable? Cheers, Lradrama 18:48, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- It's self-evidantly NN, unless you think every hospital in every backwards country in the world deserves its own WP article. 72.128.82.211 18:50, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with it being non-noteable on having a closer look. Please replace nn with non-noteable and a little bit more of an argument. Also, please use pakistani hospital rather than paki hospital please. Many people of that ethnicity see that as racist. Many thanks, Lradrama 18:54, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, if you can't figure out that nn means not-notable, you can be WP:BOLD and change it in prods all over WP yourself. NN is a reason to delete an article, I don't need to make more of an argument than that. And I'll call our little brown friends from the east whatever I please, thank you. 72.128.82.211 19:01, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Italian Beef vandalism?
I lived in Chicago for many years and the Italian beef was called two things besides Italian beef. They were called "Dago Beefs" which really is offensive, and "Lazy Italian's", no as ofensive. But these are facts. You will see in many Chicago resturants them listed as Lazy Italian's. You don't hardly see "Dago Beef" anymore. This was not vandalism.
Thanks,
Henry Swanson
- Sorry about reverting your information about Italian Beef. Mistakes are common on RC Patrol, and once again, I'm sorry. Please re-add your information, and it may be wise to insert a reference after your claims to act as proof for non-locals who won't understand. If you want to know how to do this, comment-me on my talkpage. Many thanks, Lradrama 12:57, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: Vandalism
I can honestly not see why the mention of a colloquial use of a phrase is considered "vandalism". It might be considered offensive by some who does not believe that such deserves mention, however, I do not believe that is for us to pass judgement on. Also, in view of the fact that "hard candy" is apperantly an Americanism for an underaged girl, mentioning it's British meaning underscores the schism between the two languages as well. 62.107.120.111 21:53, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your support of my recent unsuccsessful rfa, which concluded today with a final tally of 22/15/3. The comments and suggestions from this rfa, combined with the comments left during my first rfa, have given me a good idea of where I need improvement. —TomStar81 (Talk) 05:00, 28 July 2007 (UTC) |

Thank you for your support at my recent Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Angus Lepper RfA, which failed, with no consensus to promote me. However, I appreciate the concerns raised during the course of the discussion (most notably, a lack of experience, particularly in admin-heavy areas such as XfDs and policy discussions) and will attempt to address these before possibly standing again in several months time. We Will Rock You
For some reason, I managed to find the list of productions in your user space, and I saw this. Would this be the production taking place in Durham? It's just that some of my friends are taking part in it (it's where I live), and it's interesting to see a Wikipedian getting involved in something I know about it "real life". Don't worry, I'm just curious. ;)--Diniz (talk) 22:21, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again, and thanks for showing an interest in one of my productions! :-) However, the production I am going to be in is actuallyn going to be held in the Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre, in Oswaldtwistle, near Accrington in Lancashire. It is being put on by Accrington Theatre Group and will be staged in November of this year. For more information, visit www.accringtontg.co.uk (you can also type Accrington Theatre Group into Google). Cheers, Lradrama 14:42, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello again!
OK now look at the revised FAR. Please vote on this fake RFA. It is located at User:SLSB/Far. Thanks SLSB talk • contrib 16:47, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again! I've done your RfA and I've left what I hope are helpful tips. I had too oppose because of a lack of ovreall experience, but you're getting there. A few months down the line and you should be ready. These editor reviews and fake RfAs you've been putting up are a sure sign of an enthusiasm and will to improve - you will definately get there at this rate! I love your new signature by the way. :-) Lradrama 17:59, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'm a little confused. ON my FAR you said "Great contributions to Wikipedia space" but then you say "More contributions need to be made yet in both mainspace (to provide help to new users how may approach you to enquire about certain things) and of course Wikipedia space" Do you mean I'm good with Wikipedia space or what? :)
- Sorry I made it confusing for you. I meant to say that the contributions you HAVE made to Wikipedia space are good...
- ...but you need more of them. Do you see what I mean? Lradrama 18:15, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

- That is most kind of you, but you see, my previous RfA failed not long ago, so I don't feel just ready to give it another go just yet - there are lots of things I need to improve upon aswell - I too need more experience in Wikipedia space! In a few months, I'll be ready again. But thankyou very, very much for the offer. Lradrama 18:19, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- OK! The invitation is still open! SLSB talk • contrib 22:39, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Umm so basically Wikipedia space edits, mainspace, total edits and experience are needed. How many Wikipedia space total edits should I have before I re-apply? How many mainspace, how many edits total and how long experiance would you recommend? SLSB talk • contrib 23:03, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well, there really isn't a set total for amounts of edits, with the biggest emphasis being on Wikipedia space edits. From what I learnt from my admin-attempt, I would say that over 500 Wikipedia space edits would be great, but that's people's opinion. Regarding mainspace, as long as you've made significant improvements to an article or two, but this isn't really as important Wikipedia space (a good mainspace total would be over 800 / 1000). As for experience, around five months would be OK, and as for total edits there's no real figure, but over 2,000 would be a good foundation. Keep going! :-) Lradrama 14:03, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

DVD ripper
- Be careful: the article DVD ripper is not the same as DVD Ripper while the first one is about the generic term, the second one is about a specific program called like that. Please do not revert it back. --DtH-Campino 18:33, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- OK, sorry, mistakes are often made when one is on RC Patrol. Please don't make my mistake look 10 times worse by using the edit summary the way you did when you reverted it. Once again, sorry about that. Cheers, Lradrama 18:42, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Customising tab names
Hello. You mentioned in passing at VPT that you like the brief experimental change to the + tab. You can customise the titles of all the tabs by adding the following code into your monobook.js file:
addOnloadHook(function(){ var fix=function(id, text){ var el=document.getElementById(id); if(!el) return; for(el=el.firstChild; el && el.nodeName!='A'; el=el.nextSibling); if(!el) return; while(el.firstChild) el.removeChild(el.firstChild); el.appendChild(document.createTextNode(text)); } fix('ca-edit', 'edit'); fix('ca-addsection', '+'); });
The last two lines are what I use to abbreviate the "edit this page" tab and preemptively fix the + tab in its current form, in case it gets changed again. If you copy the above code, you just remove the penultimate line if you don't want it and then change the + for add a message or whatever you prefer. The code is courtesy of Anomie. Hello!
I am not going to be talking much. I am very busy now. School is staring in less than two weeks and I need to get ready. Also I am busy with my admin coach. You should get one! It will greatly help you! I know it helps me. Cheers! SLSB talk • contrib 14:55, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again! An admin coach would be something to consider yes, but only I've sorted through all the things that I need to do on here! :-S You find you will get increasingly roped into doing various tasks for different parts of Wikipedia you know! Anyway, just like you, I return to 6th form college in one and a half weeks and will be less active as a result. Have a good term. ;-) Lradrama 19:04, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello there. I was just having a look at the competition at the User page contest when I noticed the incredible amount of barnstars you'd given out. Also, I agree with SLSB, you should get an admin coach - Pheonix15 (talk) 19:16, 25 August 2007 (UTC) |

My RFA
Hi. I would like to thank you for your advice in my RFA which I have decided to withdraw as I lack overall experience at present. Thanks Tbo 157talk 21:46, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was really just a bit too soon to put one up, that's all. After a few months, providing you've participated actively in Wikipedia space, and done some good article work coupled with a good edit count, you should be ready to put together a good RfA and have another go, which should be much more successful. Have you considered getting an admin coach? Lradrama 09:36, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks again for the advice. I have listed myself for admin coaching and I will continue my contributions in articles and Wikiprojects as well as some admin tasks. Thanks. Tbo 157talk 11:21, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Permission request
Hey Mr. Lradrama, i can use the section "Tv work" and others infos for italian version of actor James Napier? Excuse-me, my english is not perfercet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.230.155.24 (talk) 17:36, August 26, 2007 (UTC)
- Of course you can. You needn't need to ask permission to edit an article. It's a free encyclopedia! You may edit it at your will, as long as you edit it sensibly! Don't refrain from asking if you get stuck. Myself and most other people will be most happy to help. :-) Lradrama 17:57, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
