Dates and spelling
[edit]Hi, if you look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Dates and numbers#Decades you can see that the ' is not used in dates. So 1980s is correct but 1980's is not. Also Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National varieties of English explains that in most cases US English is used in US based articles but British, Canadian, Australian, Indian, and other English are used where the article is relevant to a country.
