Hello. I realize the image I sent did not fit the style and was promotional. The copy was information on the history of EBTRON which other companies have similar information on their company. Is this copy still in review or not?

Speedy deletion nomination of EBTRON

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on EBTRON requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Email

[edit]

Hi Lisa. Thanks for your email, which in the interests of openness I will answer here rather than off-wiki, since no confidential matters are involved. You have already declared a conflict of interest on your userpage, which was absolutely the right thing to do before suggesting edits to the article EBTRON Inc.. However, judging by your email address, I think that you need to make the stronger paid editing disclosure (see link for details) since you are an employee. Provided you subsequently stick to the relevant guidelines, no-one will prevent you from suggesting changes to the article via its Talk Page at Talk:EBTRON Inc.. This is currently a redlink because it has no content yet.

The best way to make suggestions is using the edit request wizard, which is useful because it adds a special template to the request which draws it to the attention of non-involved volunteer editors who specialise in working on such requests. The more specific your request (e.g. "Add XYZ", based on source "ABC") the better and it is also best to make a series of small requests rather than one large one. You can see the sort of discussion that results at Talk:Beta Technologies, which is an article I have edited extensively.

My other general advice is to read WP:ASFAQ, which mentions edits (e.g. to correct typos) where you don't need to use an edit request. Also, bear in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia which is not intended to duplicate what EBRON's own website covers. Apart from limited company information (see WP:ABOUTSELF), articles here are mainly based on reliable, independent, secondary sources (so not, for example, press releases from the company which happen to be published by third-parties). If reading this gives rise to further questions, just post them into this thread, which I'll keep an eye on. Regards. Mike Turnbull (talk) 12:21, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me - they are going to delete the page.

Thank you. Please ignore by previous email. This was from last year. Lisahickey (talk) 20:41, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Lisa: I'm not sure whether you are confused by this but the article that has been deleted (which, since I'm not an admin I can't now see) was EBTRON - a redlink now since it has gone. However, an article about the company you work for now exists at EBTRON Inc. - a bluelink since it is live in the encyclopedia. That is the article you may now improve by making edit requests, as in my message of 4 January. However, the first thing to do is to amend your userpage with the {{paid}} template and new article title. Mike Turnbull (talk) 14:45, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Lisahickey, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as LisaContributor (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 20:49, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Theroadislong. I am not using multiple accounts and I am not coordinating editing with people outside of Wikipedia. I have no idea who LisaContributor is. I might have filled out a request for a change wrong. I thought I had to fill it out in two places. Lisahickey (talk) 21:20, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just a coincidence then that another Lisa is also editing the article? Theroadislong (talk) 15:05, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
