[edit]Hi Leomessichristanoronaldo! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Icky Thump several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Icky Thump, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 17:19, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Binksternet, sorry about trying to restore my edit version several times. But the current page has incorrect information. In all songwriter credit page, there is no writer/composer credit for Meg White in any songs, Jack White did wrote and composed all the White Stripes songs, so I just want to correct all the incorrect information. So if I am wrong, please tell me why and proof. But if my information is correct, plase restore my edit version if you can. Thank you. Leomessichristanoronaldo (talk) 03:10, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Also, the album pages say that all music are composed by Meg White, that means she is also the songwriter of those songs in the album. But if you go to the song's page, Jack White is the only songwriter. It doesn't make any sense Leomessichristanoronaldo (talk) 03:20, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- The album liner notes generally give songwriting credit to the White Stripes, meaning the duo of Meg and Jack. Wikipedia does not exist to question that fact, unless a reliable WP:SECONDARY source said it was misleading or wrong. Without commentary from a secondary source, the best you can do is to point out to the reader that another primary source contradicts the shared credit. But the mainstream presentation should stay with shared credit. Binksternet (talk) 04:06, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Cheri, Cheri Lady, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 17:26, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, that is not an incorrect information, the song Cheri, Cheri Lady '98 is co-produced by Luis Rodríguez, Dieter Bohlen is not the only producer of the song Leomessichristanoronaldo (talk) 03:01, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Also, the songwriter credit includes Eric Singleton because I have seen it on Google when I read the lyrics and I think it makes sense because rapper mostly wrote thier lyrics, but it might be wrong so sorry about that. Leomessichristanoronaldo (talk) 03:28, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- I never want to deliberately introducing incorrect information, the information might be incorrect but I just want to contribute. Leomessichristanoronaldo (talk) 03:56, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Anyone can sign up and log in to change the information at musixmatch.com, which means it fails WP:USERG and cannot be cited on Wikipedia. The 1985 song "Cheri, Cheri Lady" was certainly written by Dieter Bohlen alone. The 1998 version features rapper Eric Singleton, but Bohlen is still listed as the only composer on the CD single liner notes. It's possible that Bohlen wrote Singleton's words, and it's also possible that Bohlen refused to give Singleton any writing credit. We don't know. So we must list the credits as published on the single. Binksternet (talk) 04:20, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- so what about producer? Cheri, Cheri Lady '98 was co-produced by also Luis Rodríguez, can I add him to the producer list? Leomessichristanoronaldo (talk) 05:14, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Sure, do it. Binksternet (talk) 10:14, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
