Hi I noticed you edited Fred Pagnams England statistics. I'm his grandson and can't find any other reference to him playing for England although gran said he did. Please could you tell me the source of your information. Thanks rob@joineryworkshop.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.164.119.188 (talk) 23:32, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! We are a group of editors working to improve the quality of France related articles. You look like someone who might be interested in joining us in the France WikiProject and so I thought I'd drop you a line and invite you! We'd love to have you in our project :-) STTW (talk) 17:45, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Context

[edit]

I know it is a bit late to ask you, but could you please have a bit of humility and realise that: more countries than France have Division 1s and more sports than soccer have Division 1s. May I suggest a generic title of "French soccer Division 1 ..."? -- RHaworth 16:03, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

[edit]
I hereby award this French Barnstar of National Merit to Latouffedisco for creating and contributing significantly to WP:FR related articles. Happy editing, STTW (talk) 17:16, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Latouffedisco. I only now discovered your work concerning the Red and White of Reims. And I'm glad to see that you gained a lot from my articles in German WP (where I work, as well as in French WP, under the name Wahrerwattwurm) on Stade's players for your English articles. So if it doesn't ask too much of you, would you be so kind in the future as to add the Interwiki links on your English in the German version of player's articles? Up to now, I executed that for you. Sincerely – and Allez, Reims! ;-) --85.177.65.28 13:42, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Salut.

Vecchi, Paris 2006
  • Nathalie Milion: Piantoni – Roger-la-Classe.

A+ de --85.177.71.141 21:54, 1 May 2007 (UTC) (Wahrerwattwurm)[reply]

Salut, Latouffedisco. I just want to inform you, that Snella did not play für ASSE without interruption: early in June 1940 he was captured by German soldiers near Évreux and disappeared in a POW camp. It was only in 1942 that he managed to escape from there. A+ de --85.177.71.166 12:59, 3 June 2007 (UTC) (i.e. Wahrerwattwurm)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Logo PSG 1970.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo PSG 1970.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:45, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:RC_France.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:RC_France.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 18:19, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

French football

[edit]

Hello and thank you for your work on French footballers and related articles. I noticed there are articles about seasons of Ligue 1, they are nice, however they are badly named. Term "soccer" should be used only when referring to countries which use that form. France use classic "football" form. Therefore e.g. "French soccer Division 1 1979/1980" should be moved to "French football Division 1 1979/1980" and the others, too. Could you please move them, as you are their creator? Sandbox

[edit]

Hi! Are you currently working on this? I can help! Let me know. --necronudist 14:37, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, unfortunately I don't speak French (but I can easily understand a normal website) and I've got nothing regarding Ligue 1. However, I think your sources are a little weak, it would be VERY hard (impossible?) to find out every foreign player. When I did the Serie A, La Liga and Premier League ones I always found first good sources, and then begin the work. I've already searched for sources but it's really hard to find some. By now, I think it's impossible to complete the list. Maybe you should try to involve the French wiki. --necronudist 18:51, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sure I will help. I've got sources for the last ten years too, but the problem is that by now we have 70 years uncovered... 1/7 is a too little proportion to begin something. First of all, you speak (are?) French so try to involve French wiki, then we'll se what we've got and then we'll begin working, but we must be sure to cover at least 80% of the seasons before starting. This is the difference between an incomplete list and a useless list. By the way, here's a couple of interesting links I found:
Only clubs pages unfortunately. --necronudist 12:05, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It would be great! Let me know what he says. --necronudist 12:53, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We really need that book. A list must be done from head to tail, not "a little bit here, a little bit there", or you'll have a list incomplete forever. However, I don't know if it's a good idea to buy a book and pay something like 30€ to do a list on wikipedia... Think about it. --necronudist 16:53, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree. However, I keep thinking that the sources aren't enough. For me, it is impossible to contribute. I live only to do these lists :( eheh. --necronudist 17:06, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great! So, I think we'd better wait 'till he finishes and then wikify and check. Now, do you prefer to work separately from me and then compare our two versions, or work together? (Please note that you will upload the work finished, so independently from the method you will be the official creator, it happened that someone in the italian wiki stole my work publishing it before I could and that's not fair). --necronudist 18:29, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, tell me only if we're going to begin from the 1996-97 season or the 1997-98. I'll star working in the next few days. P.S.: I think it's better than none of us touch the Clio's list, so it will remain as a reference if we're in trouble with some wrong edits. --necronudist 18:56, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to work on your list but it's very hard for me, plus I'm afraid of edit conflicts (e.g. I'm editing - you're editing - you save - I save -> I have to cancel my edits 'cause you saved a new version before), so I'm gonna work on it on one of my sandboxes. It will take more time, but it will be more accurate and avoid conflicts. --necronudist 08:52, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, but I'm trying a different approach: a simple google query. Using different methods should make the list more complete... Good. --necronudist 09:26, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Unfortunately I was forced to work on other projects, but as soon as I can I will check your list and try to improve it. Now you'd better try to complete the list with the pre-1997 additions! --necronudist 09:21, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to help more! But I've found a job and I'm working on other projects...You're doing a great job! Keep this way! I'll be happy to help when possible! --necronudist (talk) 09:59, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As tu pensé à RSSSF? A+ Clio64 21 août 2007 à 17:40 (CEST)
A+ Clio64 4 septembre 2007 à 16:57 (CEST) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Clio64B (talkcontribs) 14:55, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I just had a look at your sandbox list and it seems to me that you already have included nearly all of the information I dug up for Clio64's user page. As Clio64 mentioned recently on his discussion page that he will be back to work on Wikipedia in January I would want to avoid double work and possible differences by adding stuff to two separate lists. Especially player's names that I came up with that are missing in Barreaud's book would have to be confirmed from the French side as well, because there is a chance that Austrian newspapers reported that a player went to France but he actually never made the first team (Eduard Scheer who went to Roubaix in early 1938 might be such a case, he came from second league club Helfort to France and in March 1938 a Vienna newspaper reported that due to an injury he hadn't played for his new club yet) and therefore doesn't belong on the list of foreign D1 players. Clio64's user page includes all players from Barreaud's book from the the 1930s period, so if you have copied them to your list, than we are at the same level, which means some of the names have yet to be verified (according to Clio64's count about 50%) and some names missing might have to be added. As I have access mostly to Austrian sources, my contributions primarily are related to Austrian players and to a lesser extent Hungarian and Czechoslovakian players. So please let me know how I can help you with your project. --Karloff lugosi (en) (talk) 13:31, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Yvon Pouliquen, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yvon Pouliquen. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Roger van Gool

[edit]

Hi there. I have changed the way your redirects work on your newly created article on Roger van Gool. The van in the name is in lower case, not upper case, as is normal for the language, and supported in the references. As a result I have fixed the way round the pages are with Roger Van Gool redirecting to Roger van Gool as the correct spelling and casing. Ben W Bell talk 16:14, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added a few bits and pieces, including a photo, (images become public domain in Argentina after 25 years). Unfortunately statistics for historical players in Argentina are extremely hard to come across, it seems a great deal of information has been lost, and what remains is kept on subscription websites. You can keep me informed if you make or find any other Argentine player articles if you think they may benefit from my attention. Keep up the good work. Olympic squads

[edit]

Hi Erwan! Many thanks for your question. I saw the changes last night and I was also pondering what to do... First of all I don't think, that we both have made so many mistakes! And in some cases the changes are clearly wrong, e.g. 1992 Ned Zelic (he played his first match for Borussia Dortmund on 29.8.1992 - after the Olympics) or Tony Vidmar (he played for Germinal Ekeren not before 1993). Also in 1988 e.g. John Dolye doesn't have the San Francisco Greek Americans in his list of clubs. The 1980 page needs a lot of work, because there are many wrong link! E.g. Frank Baum and others. Or the position of Calixto Martinez is now given: Defender (football)|GK. So what? Was he a defender or a goalkeeper? Or the "Red Arrows"-links for some players of Zambia. These were the reasons why I tagged this article last night.

I do not think that all changes are wrong (E.g. Oscar Crino in 1988 looks correct) but in general I would prefer to revert the edits of this user, because they are unsourced and anonymous. But then lets check if we can find out some new facts? Let me know if you need some help. Kind regards Doma-w (talk) 20:49, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for your long and hard work! Are you on the way to correct the years 1980 and 1988 also? Kind regards Doma-w (talk) 16:44, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Again many thanks that you have checked and updated all the changes! This was again a really great and good work! I am very happy to see that you are also very interested in the squad pages. Kind regards Doma-w (talk) 19:37, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hungarian players in France

[edit]

Salut,

Thanks for your post, and also many thanks for you for starting the János Aknai article!!! Also your article about the foreign players of Ligue 1 is very nice, good luck with it! Also I recommend András Törőcsik to the list, who played for Montpellier HSC in 1985/86.

My resource is Tamás Dénes, Pál Peterdi, Zoltán Rochy and József Selmeci (1999). Kalandozó magyar labdarúgók. ISBN 963-85967-0-9. {{cite book}}: Check |isbn= value: checksum (help)CS1 maint: multiple names: authors list (link), which is a book about Hungarian football players abroad.

So, about your list:

  • József Ébner (1934-35 SO Montpellier, 1938-39: Stade Rennais) (born 1909) - yes, Hungarian!
  • József Gergely (1934-35 FC Sète, 1935-36: Troyes) formerly with Hungária (died 194x)- yes, Hungarian!
  • Béla Havas (Havlik) (1932-33 Nice, 1933: Amiens) Played for Kispest and Csepel - yes, Hungarian!
  • Lorentz (1935-39 Red Star) - No, I could not find him
  • Ferenc Mayer (1932-34 CA Paris, 1936-38 RC Strasbourg) or Ferenc ?[3] [4], goalkeeper - yes, Hungarian!
  • Mayer (1933-34 Lille) - No, I could not find him. Maybe it is the same player with Ferenc Mayer?
  • Albert Nagy (1936-1939 RC Roubaix) - No, I could not find him however I have a János Nagy (1903-1966?), who played for Roubaix between 1936-37.
  • József Nemes (Nehadoma) (1933 and 1936-37 Mulhouse) - yes, Hungarian!
  • Károly Pintér (1936-37 FC Mulhouse) - No, I could not find him, however it is clearly a Hungarian name! Did he play in any other countries, or do you know more about him? I could look after him as well.
  • Edouard Schubert (1933-34 Nice, 1934-35 AS Cannes) (Maybe István Schubert?) Played for Ferencvaros - No, I could not find him, however it is clearly a Hungarian name again!
  • Szabó (1937-38 RC Lens) - I have two Szabó's from this time. Géza Szabó (1937-39 OSC Lille) and János Szabó (1934-38 FC Sochaux). Please note, that Szabó is the most frequent surname in Hungary.

Also note that I changed the correct spelling of the names according to the Hungarian rules.

If you send an e-mail to lg18@freemail.hu then I can send you the whole France part of this book in pdf. It is in Hungarian, but it is only data, data, data, so you'll understand everything :-) --gabute (talk) 20:43, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clubs from Alsace

[edit]

Hello Latouffedisco, I noticed you are creating a fair few articles about former RC Strasbourg players and I was wondering whether you could help me out with your knowledge. I'm currently working on a project, the German Gauliga, which existed from 1933 to 1945. One of them, the Gauliga Elsaß (Gauliga Alsace) consisted exclusevly if French clubs from the Alsace region. Those clubs had to Germanise their names. Do you have any knowledge about those clubs French names they carried until 1940 and after 1944/45? I think, it would add greatly to the article if that information was available. Thanks, EA210269 (talk) 01:48, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the praise, and thanks for the help. I somehow completly missed th AS Strasbourg article when I searched through the clubs. I've added your information straight away. Have fun, EA210269 (talk) 09:10, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Good stuff! It will make it a lot easier to track clubs through this period, especially the ones with no wikipedia article yet. I tried to google the names but found little useful information. If you ever need any help with some German stuff, don't hesitate to ask! Thanks a lot, EA210269 (talk) 09:21, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of foreign Ligue 1 players

[edit]

Great! I'm really happy. Great work! --necronudist (talk) 18:45, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bon travail. A+ Clio64B (talk) 21:51, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you redirected the accurate 2006 version of the Damian Manso article to the new and inaccurate one that was made 3 days ago. It would have been much better to preserve the edit history of the accurate article, and move it to Damián Manso rather than hide it behind a redirect. about Olympics' squads

[edit]

Sorry Erwan, I just wanna alert you that coaches' flags are usefull only if he is of another nationality than the one he coaches. E.g. a Brazilian who coaches the Seleção doesn't need any flag. I wish I could find the 1976 line-ups, because I'm a fan of German footbal and particularly Bayern Munich, but stuff prior to 1990 is really hard to find. Hi! Here I've asked to User:201.116.35.58 to provide sources for his edits, since I can't check right now case by case. Here we go again:

Hi again :-) What's your source for the 1924 Italian squad? I've searched everywhere but I can't find that G. Calci (plus, in the official report he isn't mentioned). --necronudist (talk) 17:07, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He isn't in the official report and I can't find him on 1923-24 Italian championships rosters...maybe he was a trainer or something like. I remove him temporarly, if I find something be sure I'll alert you. Enciclopediadelcalcio is the most reliable website on the Internet, but it's however full of errors, inconsistencies (players with the same surname melt in one) and it's not very complete. Plus, it covers only Serie A period mainly from 1929 to 1950s. --necronudist (talk) 19:35, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:FK Union Cheb.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Abdou Traoré (footballer born 1981), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Abdou Traoré. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Hi mate, hows life? I have seen your excellent work creating the La Liga managerial navboxes (I see it on my watchlist every time you add one to an Argentine manager). Just to let you know that it was decided at WP:FOOTY to do this once the biography gets more than 3 or 4 navboxes. You can create one supercollapse template for all historical navboxes called ???? ???? navboxes or make two seperate ones as I did on Aguirre's article, the current squad stays outside the supercollapse template(s) and goes at the bottom. Hi there

[edit]

Hello! I just wanted to thank you for creating articles on Yugoslav players and on some of Hajduk Split former managers. Keep up the good work, mate! I'm trying to find some data on others who don't have their own articles yet and I've been thinking of translating some from Croatian wikipedia (Ozren Nedoklan, Leo Lemešić, Jozo Matošić, and Luka Kaliterna all have articles there). I've been meaning to ask you if you could contribute by find some data on Ozren Nedoklan, who apparently played for AC Bellinzona in the late 1950's, and later coached clubs in Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco (Croatian article mentions clubs called Biserta, Suez and Casablanca). Perhaps some French language websites could provide some data on him? Also, any info on Hajduk managers who coached the club from 1911 to 1940 would be very helpful. Thanks and keep it up! Edit summaries

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, as you forgot on your recent edit to Hans Pulver. Thank you. --Ericdn (talk) 10:42, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to the page was a good one, but it does look a little suspicious at first to see such a major change on a page without an edit summary to explain it. I'm sure it just slipped your mind, but I wanted to bring it to your attention just in case. --Ericdn (talk) 10:42, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Dead people

[edit]

Your article on Sándor Peics was fine. However I noticed you added the above category to the article. Your not supposed to do that, if you want to show that a person has died but you don't know when then this template is best: Lifetime|birthyear|missing|surname, first name

(Its best to see the Peics article to see the template in action)

Keep up the good work!--EchetusXe (talk) 14:12, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FC Metz - SpVgg Metz

[edit]

Hello Latouffedisco, I'm wondering whether you could help me out in a question regarding French football: Is SpVgg Metz a predecessor of the FC Metz? The former played for a season in the Westkreis-Liga in 1913-14 and I'm not sure whether to make it a redirect to the later and add something about it in the article. The German wikipedia claims it is but I can't read French and havn't seen the SpVgg Metz-name mentioned in the French wikipedia article. Would you know the answer? Thanks for any help you can give me, EA210269 (talk) 07:56, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, for your prompt answer. I will phrase it along the line in the Westkreis-Liga and FC Metz article and create a redirect, after all, some conection there and it is not likely that anyone will create a SpVgg Metz article in a rush. Thanks again, EA210269 (talk) 09:11, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I'm trying to add a bit more to the clubs history right now. So far, one could get the impression, it only started palying at top level in France from 1965, which is not the case, checking the records. EA210269 (talk) 09:37, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am about to create an article on the above player (brother of Fred Blackburn who played for England),. He played for Blackburn Rovers and Southampton between 1895 and a902. My reference book says that he was later known to have coached in Rotterdam, Holland". Are you able to shed any light? Cheers. --Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 09:40, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is it possible that he signed for the clubs, but never actually played for them? Or would you still be able to find records of that? FkpCascais (talk) 02:02, 6 June 2009 (UTC) Hi, I´m having a great laugh reading about some book that was published in Italy called "Tutte Palle" of the jurnalist Massimo M.Veronese. It looks like a collection of real anegdotic and funny situations that occured in football around the world. Have you herd of it? There is one situation that occured in 1978 in a 1st league match between Bastia and Metz. Some spectator, Jean Marc Lucchese, shot with a pistol the ball that was shoted by a player and was going to the goal. The ball was loosing air and stoped before crossing the line. Do you know what happend in the end? Here only says that the guy was arrested, but doesn´t mention anything about the result, the refery´s decidion, or what was done right after the shot! :) FkpCascais (talk) 18:37, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template et Modèles

[edit]

Svetislav Glisovic

[edit]

Hi Erwan. Sorry to bother you. I hope you´re O´right. Listen, I have a doubt that you can help me: I made a page of Svetislav Glišović and I see he appears in your foreign in France list as having played in Stade Français in 1946-47. What is my doubt? In my source ( Serbian federation website, it´s in players page ) it has his life story told in Serbian. What says there it´s quite simple: He played in BSK from begining to end (1931 to WWII) and at the finish of the war, he was given to be in charge as coach of the SR Serbia team in the first pos-war YuChampionship. Next he was coach of Red Star Belgrade for 2 years (1946-1948), and afterwords he coached in Greece and Switzerland. Here is the question. There says he coached Red Star for two seasons, but in clubs page it says he was the coach only in the 1946-47 season. Your list says that he played in France in 1946-47, so here´s something wrong. What is it? Was he maybe a coach of Stade F.? Coach-player? It´s also possible that he was player couse he was like 33/34 years old... What you think? Best regards, FkpCascais (talk) 05:25, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So what shall I do? If I include the data of playing in Stade it would be strange, and should I put Stade F. 0 (0) or - (-)? If I don´t put it, it would be strange for your list... And another thing. Do you know any other clubs he coached? FkpCascais (talk) 17:41, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I know you mostly use books... But, there are some info´s from my croatian source that I´m having doubts. For instance, it says he played for "Nemzeti" between 1916-26, but I never herd for that club, and the Hungarian league is called "Nemzeti Bajnokszág I" , so I doubt that a club would have the same name as the league... Old Yugoslavia (until 1941) derby: BSK - Jugoslavija

[edit]

Hi. I´ve been busy reading some google-book in Serbian called "All the great derbies" about the BSK Beograd-SK Jugoslavija derbies. It has been great because it gives the report and comments from many of the Belgrade derbies from its start, at 1913, until the end of the clubs, in 1943. There are also the teams 11´s, witch made me come crazzzzzyyyy!!!! well, there are also included some biographies, about some major players, but unfortunately, beside Hungarian gk Tusko, are all Yug.nat team players, so for me well known... Here are some non Serbian/Yugoslav names from the squads, wich, I hope, you may know, or suspect, of some, or even have some more info:(attention! the names are first written as they are in the book, in Serbian, where, if written, David Bechkam would be "Dejvid Bekam" or Grégory Coupet would be "Gregori Kupe").

SK Jugoslavija:

  • Alojz Mahek - It says he´s Czech, and he was forward and played from 1913 until 1925 in the club.
  • Venc Petrovicki - (since it says he Czech, he must be Vencel? Petrovický?) played from 1913 until 1920/21
  • Eduard Mifek - played at least in 1913.
  • Kumanudi - played 1929.
  • Detlinger - 1930.
  • Plac - (Platz???) Goalkeeper, 1935.
  • Rakar - Forward, 1938-39.
  • Ajbl - (Öebl,Eybl...???) 1939.
  • Ler - (Lőr?), Hung? 1939.
  • Bednar - (Bődnar?), Hung?,CzeSlovak? 1939.
  • Stevkov - Left wing, 1940-41.
  • Šplajt - (Schpleit?) 1941-1943.
  • Difranko - (Di Franco? Difranco? De Franco?) 1941.
  • Lunder - 1943.

BSK Belgrade:

  • Josif Papo - 1913.
  • Josip Švaha - 1913.
  • Josip Brener - 1913.
  • Matejin - 1920.
  • Večer - 1924-1925, it must be Rudolf Wetzer, Wetzer→Večer. I find it out after some thinking... :)
  • Laki - Goalkeeper, 1924-1925.
  • Rodin - 1925-1927.
  • Percl - 1925-1927.
  • Puhar - 1938.

The years I have are the ones in wich they played in the derby, so anyone of them may have played more... In the book are not listed all the derbies, but about the most interesting 20 (there was around 140 in total, if I remeber well). Also, Serbs are not good goalkeepers, so they were many times, if not foreign, some other internal nationallity. The ones I wrote goalkkepers, are certainly Gk, the others may be all but gk. Mahek and Petrovicki it says are Czechs, many Czechs were "teaching" football in Yugos. at beggining (I founded many in Hajduk Split in the pre-1940 era). Well, I hope you recognise some. Best regards FkpCascais (talk) 05:23, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry not having answered you earlier but some strange things happen to me. First, day after writting you this I had some health (strange kidneys pain) problems, then my computer "died" and at the end I had some internet connections problems... Well, I´m back now. Don´t warry, I wasn´t expecting you´ll know all the players, but the list may be interesting to have it. Wasn´t Platz known Austrian gk? About Wetzer, the years match with what your books say. I´ll bee around now. I hope all is god with you. FkpCascais (talk) 20:32, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Peer review

[edit]

Thanks a lot for the peer review on Chamois Niortais. My French isn't bad but as an Englishman it's quite hard to find sources about the French lower leagues that I properly understand so it helped to have someone who knew more about it. Cheers, -- BigDom 11:36, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Latouffedisco! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 7 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 03:57, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

French football task force

[edit]

Hi there Latouffedisco. I'm considering creating a France task force as part of WikiProject Football and as a serial contributor of French football articles I wondered whether you would be interested in joining me? The idea would be to improve coverage of French football (clubs, leagues, players, managers) on Wikipedia by creating new articles and maintaining the existing ones. If I can get enough editors on board, I will be starting up the task force in the forthcoming days. Also, if you can think of any other editors who may be interested that I might have forgotten, please send them a message to let them know about it. Cheers, BigDom 11:03, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again! The task force is now up and running, if you're still interested in joining. Cheers, BigDom 09:09, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Racing Club de France.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Yugoslav First League template

[edit]

Hey Latouffedisco, I noticed you redesigned the Template:Yugoslav First League and added the list of clubs which competed in the league. However, since almost all of the clubs which participated in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia championship (1923-1940) were dissolved after World War II (the only exception which comes to mind in Hajduk Split), perhaps it would be better to make it so that the seasons and clubs of the Kingdom version were somehow separated from the clubs and seasons in the communist version of the league, perhaps under separate headers, something like this? If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Daniel Alberto requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Oddbodz (talk) 20:37, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article George Kimpton has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi, I'm an Italian user of it.wiki and I'm preparing a page on Alberto (or Albert, or Tino) Molina, who was a playee and coach who spent almost twenty years in France with Toulon, Montpellier and Grenoble. Some years ago you contributed to this page, adding the Dictionnaire to bibliography: do you have the book now? If yes, can you help me adding info to the career of Molina? Thank you very much --L'archivista (talk) 08:53, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

African Cup of Nations' rosters

[edit]

Sorry Erwan, I've seen you edited some pages about the squads at various African Cup of Nations. Do you know where I can find the complete rosters for every Cup or at least the lineups of the matches? I can't find them anywhere, especially for the early editions... maybe no one took note in the past, it would be really sad. Non-free rationale for File:Ecf1959.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Ecf1959.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. A German footballer in France

[edit]

Salut, Latouffedisco. I have now finished an article on a German player from your sandbox. His name is Reinhold Jackstell and he was a striker in the 1950's with Lens, Angers and Stade Français; Jackstell later (during the civil war) spent some years in Algeria and in the mid-1960's with some French amateur sides. Maybe you're interested to read (and even translate) it though it is in German. A+ from --Wahrerwattwurm (talk) 15:36, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 09:28, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Maps in French Division 1 articles

[edit]

Hi. I appreciate your map contributions to old French Division 1 seasons, but I noticed that you used the map with anachronistic administrative divisions. The French regions shown in maps are the ones adopted in 2016, which seems inappropriate for articles on competitions played in the 1980s and 1990s. Is there a map with old regions that you could use? InflatableSupertrooper (talk) 20:09, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Simcalogo.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Simcalogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:26, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
