[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Draft:Ludmila_Yamalova. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. qcne (talk) 15:44, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for your message. To clarify, this is not an autobiography, but a biography of the person, which has been tagged appropriately in the process of submission. As per Wikipedia’s notability criteria, I have provided reliable sources where the subject has been a notable contributor, such as media houses like The New York Times, Bloomberg, Financial Times, and Gulf News, wherein the subject was invited to be an expert commentator and contributor.
- I am happy to add more such references, but these are our strongest points. This is for clarification, in case the assumption that this is an autobiography, affected the reputable sources listed.
- Thank you. LYLAWDubai (talk) 16:03, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- @LYLAWDubai in that case, your username contravenes our username policy as usernames cannot represent an organisation. Please request a username change at Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Your sources do not yet show notability as most are not independent of Ludmila. qcne (talk) 16:44, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for your feedback. I have requested for a username change as per Wikipedia policy, and resubmitted the article with sources independent of Ludmila. Thanks again! LYLAWDubai (talk) 10:28, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- You must also make a paid-editing disclosure immediately. I will post instructions below. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:28, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, I am confused whether this is classified as a paid activity or whether I should disclose my COI for the reason that the subject is the founder of the firm I work at, i.e., my employer. I would be happy to do whatever is the best fit for this situation. Thank you. LYLAWDubai (talk) 10:31, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Hello LYLAWDubai. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:LYLAWDubai. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=LYLAWDubai|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:29, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

- As you're employed by the subject you're editing on, that comes automatically under our paid-editing-rules. Paid editing is also a COI, but it is a specific kind of COI and must be disclosed specifically. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:37, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for your guidance. I have declared the necessary on my User Page, please let me know if it is up to standards. Upon receiving acceptance of my new username, I shall update it. Thanks again! LYLAWDubai (talk) 11:45, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, that seems to be in order. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:48, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
