Refs

[edit]

Hello, I noticed you've been adding content to some articles lately, which is great, and you've been adding sources as well, which is also great. But, you've been leaving these sources as bare urls. If you could complete these refs, per WP:CITE, that would be appreciated by your fellow editors. I've done this with one of your recent edits as an example. If you could go back and complete the other bare refs you left, and also do so going forward, that would also be appreciated. Thanks - wolf 19:21, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I’ll do that. Thank you very much but I don’t have much time to edit the other articles that I’ve done already Knight1024828282 (talk) 01:54, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I'll slowly edit existing articles. I've done the USS Arleigh Burke already Knight1024828282 (talk) 05:40, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'll update you on the articles that I edited that have bare URL's that I've now fixed.
So far:
USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51)
BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150) Knight1024828282 (talk) 06:02, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

(edit conflict) Thanks for the reply. There is no rush, if you're able to go back and fill in some bare refs (at your own pace) that would be just fine. Going forward, it should be a simple matter to fill out refs for new entries as you go along, and with that, everything should be just 'tickety boo'. If you need any assistance with any issues at all, just contact the Help Desk. Cheers - wolf 07:24, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've revised around 6 of my previous edits already. Working to revise all Knight1024828282 (talk) 07:47, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Linking ships

[edit]

When adding ship names, they should always be in italics (using the markup seen -> here for unlinked names), but for linked names, such as the ones you added in this edit, it is best to the USS template, as seen in this edit (same edit as yours, down at the bottom). For navies other than the USN with USS (eg: the RN for HMS), see the "See also" section of the template. - wolf 04:26, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

April 2023

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 15:04, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please cite independent, secondary sources. A tweet or a note from defensie.nl do not make information have encyclopedic value. Drmies (talk) 15:05, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
