Unblocking your IP is unlikely to happen
[edit]If your university IP address is sending a lot of vandalism to wikipedia, it's unlikely that your IP will be unbanned, which is tough luck for you. Perhaps you'd be interested in Wikipedia:Advice to AOL users. Even if you don't use AOL, it has some advice for people behind blocked superproxies.--Frenchman113 on wheels! 15:40, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- What Frenchman said. See Wikipedia:Autoblock for an explanation of what is going on here. I removed your request, because as it stands, none of us can act on it. Since you are blocked based on your IP you'll have to tell us what the screen actually says when you try to edit; the fix is for us to unblock the IP address, but if we don't know it, we can't do it. On behalf of the community, we're sorry! It's too bad someone else on your network is being a dick. Mangojuicetalk 04:40, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by Sj for the following reason (see our blocking policy): spam Your IP address is 129.194.8.73. (Note that I am currently using a fixed IP, 129.194.204.113). Thanks for your help. knd 08:07, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
I've unblocked the IP after checking into the contributions; it appears someone from your University used the IP to spam links and happened to do it on the page of an administrator, who blocked. If you continue to have problems, your university's system administrator may be able to help locate the individual responsible; obviously, if the individual is identified and prevented from further vandalism, further blocks will be eliminated as well. Disambiguation link notification for November 20
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hand, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Epidermis and Feet (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Thanks for your contributions to Tiwayo. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. ... discospinster talk 16:38, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
