Conflict of interest
[edit]Hi - thanks for creating Mannix Library, which I've just reviewed. Please can I draw your attention to our conflict of interest guidelines? I'm not accusing you of any malfeasance, I see that you have declared your connection to the subject on your userpage, I just want to make sure that you're aware of the issue, and that you understand what the expectations of the community are when it comes to editing about subjects you are connected to. Moving forward, I'd advise you to use edit requests on the article talk page to suggest changes to the article. Best wishes, and happy new year, GirthSummit (blether) 11:40, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

IP block exempt
[edit]I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit the English Wikipedia through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.
Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions. Inappropriate usage of this user right may result in revocation. I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Canley (talk) 08:40, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Page mover
[edit]Hello, Kerrieburn. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.
Useful links:
- Wikipedia:Requested moves
- Category:Requested moves, for article renaming requests awaiting action.
If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! Canley (talk) 00:28, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
DYK nomination of Rosemary Crumlin
[edit]Hello! Your submission of Rosemary Crumlin at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) at your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! GiantSnowman 14:42, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
DYK for Rosemary Crumlin
[edit]On 7 April 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Rosemary Crumlin, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Rosemary Crumlin, author of a 60-year history of the Blake Prize for religious art, first attended a Blake exhibition when she was a young novice with the Australian Sisters of Mercy? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Rosemary Crumlin. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Rosemary Crumlin), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Women in Red
[edit]Hi there, Kerrieburn, and welcome finally to Women in Red. I've been following the great work you've been doing over the past year on Australian women connected with religion. It's good to hear you intend to continue along the same lines. If you haven't already done so, you might find it useful to look through our Primer for creating women's biographies. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 10:00, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks very much Ipigott. The primer is very helpful. We have a number of new editors in our Australian women in religion group so it will be useful to share with them as well. I am not used to communicating with other editors on talk (or elsewhere) so please let me know if this works. :) Kerrieburn (talk) 02:12, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
- For less experienced editors, we also have Ten Simple Rules. You'll find quite a few other interesting items in the WiR template which is displayed at the bottom of the main WiR page. I've been following the WP 1000 Women in Religion since it started almost three years ago. I'm really happy to see that this year there have already been over twice as many new articles as for the whole of last year. Keep up the good work and let me know if there's anything I can help you with.--Ipigott (talk) 10:25, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hi there I was interested in finding a more experienced editor than me to provide some assistance. Recently a page that I created in June was moved to draft space - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Glenys_Livingstone. I have done some further editing of the article and resubmitted (as I was instructed to do by the person who moved it to draft space) However, it looks like that means that it could take 4+ months for it to be moved back to mainspace. If you have time would you be able to look at the current draft and see if you think it is ready to move to mainspace (and even move it back to mainspace)? Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]An article you recently created, Glenys Livingstone, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

Women in Red 8th Anniversary
[edit]Women in Red 8th Anniversary | |
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap! |
