Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to WomanStats Project. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 15:36, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Map3.3Trafficking compressed.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Map3.3Trafficking compressed.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Submitted maps, file format

[edit]

I took a look through the maps you've submitted ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Map3.4Polygyny_compressed.jpg etc. ). Do you have PNG or (more preferably but more unlikely) SVG versions of these, by any chance? It would cut down on both file size and artifacts in the image to move away from JPEG for these.

Thanks for submitting them, by the way, they're excellent visuals. --Wascally wabbit (talk) 16:28, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Submitted maps, correction?

[edit]

Hello,

The maps you submitted all forgot the Caspian Sea. Could you check them, if you have time? --81.57.216.111 (talk) 19:25, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Map3.2SonPreference_compressed.jpg listed for deletion

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Map3.2SonPreference_compressed.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. complainer (talk) 08:47, 12 February 2013 (UTC) You may find the reasons for my proposal in the file's talk page, where they have been, unanswered, for a rather long time. The same problems described apply to a number of maps sourced from womanstats.org which you have uploaded: fundamentally, it is user-generated content with nothing to ensure reliability; much of the information contained appears to be partisan, ideologically motivated or simply running against common sense. I am now flagging for deletion only one file, the most patently bizarre but, if the sourcing is not proven reliable, something I would find rather surprising, I think all the other maps should be flagged for speedy deletion. complainer (talk) 08:55, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
