User talk:Jonfoerster
Welcome!
Hello, Jonfoerster, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Border Things, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.
You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 23:36, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
The article Border Things has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unnotable and unrelated book. Fails WP:BK. Sources are dubious at best and only sourcing is about the non-notable author and how he didn't end up on Survivor.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 23:36, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Border Things
[edit]I have nominated Border Things, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Border Things. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 16:31, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Puffin. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Akash Maharaj without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Puffin Let's talk! 18:45, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Please don't blank the article Akash Maharaj; instead, if you believe that Wikipedia should not have a page on this person, feel free to nominate it for deletion. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 18:54, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Akash Maharaj with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Wikipelli Talk 18:55, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Your revision of the article is not supported by the reference given. Your deletion nomination was rambling, but not completely without merit, so I felt that it would have been better sent to a full deletion debate. The debate can be found here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Akash Maharaj. (You allege that the article was created by the author of the Yale Daily article - what evidence do you have for this?) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 19:26, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Please note that legal threats - whether against the Wikimedia Foundation itself, or against another editor - are very much frowned upon on Wikipedia, and are often a ground for blocking. If you believe you have a legal case, you should contact the relevant party privately. (See this page on how to contact the Wikipedia mailing list in case of problems with an article about yourself.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 19:53, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
You can use either my talk page, or yours (i.e. this one); alternately, you can send me an e-mail - I have my address publicly displayed on my user page, though in a slightly obfuscated way. But I don't believe I can help you any further; I have nominated the article for deletion (to which debate you can contribute), and conceded to revert the article to your shortened version, though I do not believe that the references support your revision. You can also contact the Wikipedia mailing list (linked above). - Mike Rosoft (talk) 20:07, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
hello
[edit]Hello, If you want to talk with us, try clicking on this link, and then editing at the bottom.
We've put the substantially trimmed article back now and are taking the article through our internal deletion bureaucracy. Although we take the quality of biographies of living people very seriously, we'd ask you please not to make legal threats, as it doesn't help us or you. Thanks, Morwen - Talk 19:56, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
Legal threats will not be tolerated
[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved.
--Orange Mike | Talk 23:35, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- To be fair, you have ceased making legal threats after I had warned you. So I am unblocking you, but since you now know about the policy, any further legal threats will be met with an indefinite block with prejudice. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 11:47, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page that you created was tagged as a test page and has been or soon may be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Anbu121 (talk me) 09:28, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:34, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
