WP:NH
[edit]Welcome to our state's Wikiproject! Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you out in the future, I look forward to your expertise on New Hampshire related subjects. karmafist 15:10, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Well, since you asked....
- Fill in New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated from here the best you can.
- Help fill in the first draft of Wikipedia:WikiProject New Hampshire/muncarticlewatch, the subproject designed to act as a noticeboard for what needs to be done to get all towns to Featured Article Status
- Take a photo of something in the area and upload it to the corresponding town/city article or article about whatever it is. If it's somewhat famous, but there's no article about it, write one.
- Find some facts about a town or subject around here that from the local library
- ask Grutness if there are any stubbed articles that can be put into more specific stubs
- check for any other stuff to do on the WP:NH to do list.
You don't have to do any of that, but whatever you do is greatly appreciated. karmafist 01:05, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
A New Hampshire Stub Is Up For Deletion!
[edit]Hey, just wanted to let you know. A stub that assists people editing New Hampshire related articles is up for deletion at WP:SFD. karmafist 04:06, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
New Hampshire Historical Markers
[edit]Karmafist
[edit]I put your userbox on my page, hopefully by now I have the record, but you can never be too sure, eh? Also, I just checked User:Jokermage/List of NH Historical Markers, why not make that into an article of its own? Even if it was brought to afd, we at WP:NH could band together behind it, that work deserves to be seen. karmafist 07:13, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
- It might be useful there if there's a main list with the titles of each of the signs at the main level, I took pictures of #29 and #79 today, but it would've taken forever if I didn't know you hadn't split them up initially. I'm going to upload the pics in a bit. Also, anything else going on with the election gag? karmafist 05:20, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, i'll try to get 10-20 more markers over the next month or two. karmafist 17:22, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
I've got an idea. You can just make individual sections for each sign, and then make the wiki-link on the alphabetical list go to the numbered list section names. That's your baby, so i'll wait. I'm almost done with slapping the {{Project New Hampshire}} and {{New Hampshire}} tags on all the articles in the NH 2nd Congressional District, so i'll do that in the meantime. Took me around 300 edits today to do that. karmafist 04:57, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry, not thinking again, there were subsections already there. We could still make links and not duplicate until there's a sign that's actually worthy of a sign on its own. karmafist 08:49, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- I thought you meant it wasn't done as it that there wouldn't be anything to link to at the list of signs in alphabetical order. Don't sweat it, i'll show you what I mean later, and we'll get that up to an article of its own. karmafist 10:25, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- Never mind, looks like you already know what I mean. Ok, heading over there now. karmafist 10:34, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll focus on 101 and above while you're at the beginning, i've gotten about 10 or so already over there. I'll be back later. karmafist 11:04, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Sudachi
[edit]It was no problem doing the work. There were a few spelling errors I found on the internet that I assumed were just typos when entered into the Historical Markers website. I took the liberty of changing only the most obvious of typos. I would say we should get into wikification, fix some of the CAPS only titles to make the article more consistant, and move it to a separate page. What do you think? Sudachi 07:35, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
- I like the fact that they stand out more and the titles and numbers are bigger. But I don't know if it's the best solution to put them in categories... This also creates a long contents box. Anyway to keep them big but not have them create a contents box? Sudachi 02:32, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
- Oooh thanks! They're looking much better like that all horizontal. I think in a day or two I can have them all mostly wikified. Sudachi 11:08, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
County entymologies
[edit]Hi! Re List of New Hampshire county name etymologies, please feel free to copy the information wherever you'd like, but please do not delete or redirect the page. It is part of a series of 50 such articles, which can be accessed here: Lists of U.S. county name etymologies. It would be disruptive to the series if one of the articles was diverted elsewhere. Please and thank you. :) jengod 19:18, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Some of us think place name origins are fascinating, in and of themselves, outside of the "county" association per say. See also: List of U.S. state name etymologies, Etymologies of place names in Los Angeles, California, et al. for other elements of the "hierarchy." I also disagree with your assertion that There really isn't enough information in that page to justify an unique article, but that's a personal POV so I'm not sure what I can say to convince you that this article is complete and valid in and of itself. I really regret adding {{Project New Hampshire}} to the talk page now. I was trying to be helpful, but I can see you feel that it's untidy. It's not poor New Hampshire's fault that it only has a handful of counties! :) We organized state by state, and as always with such an arrangement, some pages are ginormous, and some are much smaller. I would really appreciate it on a personal level if you would leave List of New Hampshire county name etymologies alone. Having such an article on Wikipedia is no insult to common sense and while no information would be lost in a redirect, I strongly feel that it's in the best interests of the topic(s) if New Hampshire county entymologies stay in the same general format as New York county name etymologies and Nebraska county name etymologies, etc. Thank you. jengod 19:49, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry, didn't mean to be an ass, it's just that this is a very stable, year-old page and it's a shock to have it at risk to be redirected. Thanks for your cooperation. Removing the mergeto notice now. Best, jengod 20:07, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
NH Userbox
[edit]I hope you don't mind, but i'm going to Be bold and put a redirect from your user template into a mainspace template so it doesn't look too wierd at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Location/Americas, which i'm about to add it to. karmafist 23:02, 22 December 2005 (UTC)

Deletion of 'liberal wikipedians' category
[edit]Hi. I saw you're (like me) listed in this category which is up for deletion. Hoped you'd like to vote in favor of keeping it... Thanks! Larix 23:57, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
Skeptic userbox
[edit]I like the colors and the link, but I prefer my text. As for the image, I would like to keep Occam; unless you can find an image that better demonstrates disbelief and/or skepticism. Daykart 17:06, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
- I like it. Daykart 17:14, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
- I'm about to rush off to work. Can you do it? Daykart 17:19, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
