Don't equivocate

[edit]

(diff) "mixed to negative" is not good writing. There have been many past discussions about this, here's one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Manual_of_Style/Film/Archive_9#Abysmally_redundant_descriptions_of_films'_reception

Please do not do that again.

The wording in the lead section is supposed to be a summary of the article body. The summary of the Critical response has to be weighted based on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic since they are effective summarizing so many reviews. If you feel there is a mismatch between Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic you can discuss on the article talk page. If one word mixed/positive/negative isn't good enough then WP:FILM editors generally recommend being more specific not less, and taking key descriptions from reviews and instead making fair generalizations based on the film, for example: the lack of plot and bad special effects.

Don't write mixed to negative. Pick one or the other not both. -- 109.78.197.162 (talk) 02:50, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
