Thanks for uploading Image:It_Conquered_the_World.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 06:47, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Your reverts on Yellowworld

[edit]

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you.

Cogswell College

[edit]

Joel -- I saw your request for investigation on this article, was curious, and had a look. You do cite that the complaint to the BBB is valid but nothing in the reference suggests sexual harassment allegations or the student's names. As a happy medium, perhaps you could stick to what is listed in the cited complaint until you can find a source that verifies all of the other info. After all, suggesting a sexual harassment claim without concrete citations could be considered libelous and the victims might not want their names published. I hope this is helpful. -- Mufka (user) (talk) (contribs) 16:35, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the input...--Joel Lindley 17:49, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You might want to remove your posting from Wikipedia:Requests for investigation; that's clearly the wrong forum. In general, you'll find advice and options for content disagreements at Wikipedia:Resolving disputes.
Also, I don't understand your statement that there is no page in which to come to a compromise, or speak about how the article can satisfy both parties. That's what the Talk:Cogswell College page is for. And I noticed that there has never been a posting to Talk:69.110.4.144, which surprised me; that's also a possibility. John Broughton | 20:21, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Joel -- regarding the myspace link, you misinterpreted the history. Besselfunctions removed the link, then he read our discussion and he decided the link belonged and _he_ put it back. I have restored the link for now, pending further intervention by neutral editors in response to my request for a conflict-of-interest investigation.Camaier 17:49, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:Shaft Movie.jpg

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Shaft Movie.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:47, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Asiaphile

[edit]

An editor has nominated Asiaphile, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Asiaphile and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 09:59, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Meteormn.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Meteormn.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 15:57, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Amejo

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Amejo, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Slp1 (talk) 23:07, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Joel.

I noticed that you added this to the Articles for Deletion page. Do you want this article to be deleted? If so, there's a way that you can do it. I can step you through it if you like, or I can do the work for you. Why do you want it to be deleted? - Richard Cavell (talk) 16:07, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Richard. Looking at the article, I felt it was not widely known, except possibly for the individuals (or individual) who posted the article. Maybe it can be merged with something else, but it's such a random article that doesn't really set it apart from anything else we might encounter online.--Joel Lindley (talk) 16:09, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you want it to be deleted, you can add {{subst:afd}} to the article and follow the steps on the template. If you want me to help you, I can do that. - Richard Cavell (talk) 16:28, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. :)-Joel Lindley (talk) 20:30, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, Joel. If you want to have this article deleted, go to Cindy's Torment and add {{subst:afd}}. I'm watching here, so I'll let you know what to do next. - Richard Cavell (talk) 21:20, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Joel, you did that pretty well. I did slightly modify your nomination statement, to conform with convention. We'll see how it goes. - Richard Cavell (talk) 09:41, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Black Tokyo

[edit]

The article Black Tokyo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable blog, what limited media coverage there is doesn't satisfy notability

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:55, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Highly promotional article about defunct and seemingly non-notable social platform.
