Rollback
I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it.
Also, could you please warn vandals once you've reverted their edits. This way they can justifiably be blocked if they continue. Thanks. — Tivedshambo (t/c) 15:20, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! I'll try to remember to warn vandals. I usually give a warning if the edit came from a user account, but I don't generally warn IP only edits. Should I be warning IPs? Jncraton (talk) 15:56, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Definitely - unless they've received sufficient notice, they're generally not blocked. — Tivedshambo (t/c) 16:08, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Ok. Thanks! Jncraton (talk) 16:10, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

- That's my bad. I thought it was a new user throwing up a typical "hello, world" style message. I should have been paying more attention, especially given that hello is part of the title of the page. Again, I apologize, and I'll try to be more careful in the future. Reviewer granted
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Dabomb87 (talk) 05:23, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kids Hope USA
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kids Hope USA requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 00:59, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
- Ok. I've responded on the talk page of the article in question. Jncraton (talk) 02:16, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
The article 1381 voltage trigger has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non notable product
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 2 says you, says two 22:23, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Dodgeviper28 and Borges-Clarksburg Airport
Hello, I am contacting you regarding a revert you made to the Borges-Clarksburg Airport page. While examining the difference in the edits I can tell that the user is obviously a newbie. Please do not bite the newbies. In those cases please assume good faith. I have gone ahead and removed the warning template from the users page. Peter.C • talk 02:52, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

New version of STiki software available
Hello there. I've noticed you are a frequent user of my software tool, STiki. First, I wanted to thank you for your use of my tool. Second, I wanted to inform you that a new version just became available (see this post on STiki's talk page for a brief summary of changes). I encourage you to download it! Further, keep your bug reports and feature requests flowing in. STiki has now reverted over 25,000 instances of vandalism, and I hope together we can help this number continue to grow. Vandalising the indian literature article
someone is vandalising the article Indian literature. The kannada section was deleated using some tag. I have readded that section. I saw that it was done by someone whose IP was: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/112.203.92.103 Actually I saw that you had reverted one such edit and Iam informing of the same thing once more. Try to protect the article. Thanks for your good work. Bring it to the attention of admins. Regards. 27.57.102.110 (talk) 12:29, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help in keeping Wikipedia free from vandalism! I don't think that page protection is necessary in this case because vandalism on the page is relatively infrequent (the vandalism you fixed was already four days old). Let me know if you need anything else. Jncraton (talk) 19:01, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Itanos
Thank you very much for your comment. You accurately pointed a problem: the (modern) deme of Itanos is not the (ancient) city of Itanos. Until very recently modern Itanos was called Palekastro; they changed the name of the village and chose an ancient appelation for the occasion of the last administrative reorganization of the region. I will try to make it clear in the article. --Toyotsu (talk) 16:06, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- Interesting. That information should definitely be included in the article. It would be a good idea to be clear that your article is about an ancient now non-existent city, perhaps even in the article title. Also, you could add a disambiguation link on the Itanos page. File permission problem with File:Gmer_tdl4.png
Thanks for uploading File:Gmer_tdl4.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 23:21, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. I had previously tried to contact the author about getting official permission for this image, but I never heard back. I've changed the image from the Creative Commons license to being non-free with fair use rationale. Please let me know if there is anything wrong with the way I did this. Mangling div tags
Any particular reason for mangling the maps with this edit? I agree that the use of div tags to create pushpin maps is not idea, but changing them to empty <div>...</div>

Vandalism on Avril Lavigne discography.
Hi, I just wanted to clarify an edit that you marked as vandalism on the Avril Lavigne discography. I don't view this as vandalism at all, but an Assume-Good-Faith reversion. Avril Lavigne has, in fact, appeared performing Tik Tok on BBC's Radio 1 (unofficial Youtube video--the original is apparently no longer available). The performance itself, however, is not notable enough and should not appear under the "appearances" section of the discography, but just remember to assume good faith when reverting edits, especially with IP editors. Not everything is vandalism, no matter how obscure the edit may seem. =) ~ [ Scott M. Howard ] ~ [ Talk ]:[ Contribs ] ~ 22:49, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for calling me out on this. That was definitely not vandalism, as you noted. I should have used a much different edit summary, but I either forgot or didn't take the time to do so in the tool that I was using. I'll try to be more careful about this in the future. Jncraton (talk) 22:53, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: MPh
Hello Jncraton. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of MPh, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: not about a "website, blog, web forum, webcomic, podcast, browser game, or similar web content". Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 20:24, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. I wasn't sure how to categorize the page, or even if it should be deleted for sure. The page doesn't seem to provide any indication of notability. I could write a programming framework myself, but if it isn't widely used, I wouldn't consider it notable enough to be included on Wikipedia. Does this page meet notability requirements? If not, what is the proper process to have the page removed? Does it need to be PRODed? Thanks! Jncraton (talk) 20:39, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- I agree that the article isn't suitable for inclusion, but A7 is very specific about what can be deleted under it. Software in all it's forms isn't included (not sure why) so it didn't apply. I just had another look though and realised it was copied entirely from here so have deleted it as a copyvio. If it hadn't been a copyvio though, you are right that it would have been best to PROD it and then take it to AFD if necessary. Cheers SmartSE (talk) 20:45, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- Awesome! Thanks for the clarification. Jncraton (talk) 23:54, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

July 2012 Study of authors of health-related Wikipedia pages
Dear Author/Jncraton
My name is Nuša Farič and I am a Health Psychology MSc student at the University College London (UCL). I am currently running a quantitative study entitled Who edits health-related Wikipedia pages and Why? I am interested in the editorial experience of people who edit health-related Wikipedia pages. I am interested to learn more about the authors of health-related pages on Wikipedia and what motivations they have for doing so. I am currently contacting the authors of randomly selected articles and I noticed that someone at this address recently edited an article on Metabolism. I would like to ask you a few questions about you and your experience of editing the above mentioned article and or other health-related articles. If you would like more information about the project, please visit my user page (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Hydra_Rain) and if interested, please reply via my talk page or e-mail me on nusa.faric.11@ucl.ac.uk. Also, others interested in the study may contact me! If I do not hear back from you I will not contact this account again. Thank you very much in advance. Hydra Rain (talk) 19:34, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

HTML list
I undid a particular edit of yours [1]. The reason an HTML style list is used there is that there is an indentation within a list item. Mediawiki is not able to achieve that effect without the use of HTML list syntax. Here is an example:
- This is a list item.
Now we are back in the same list item, which should have the original indentation
- This is an indented line in the same list item
- This is the second list item
If this is changed to non-HTML syntax, it looks like this:
- This is a list item.
- This is an indented line in the same list item
Now we are back in the same list item, which should have the original indentation
- This is the second list item
Notice that the third line now has the wrong indentation. Moreover, the HTML generated for the second example is not correct, because it has two different ul tags, when there should be only one, because there is only one list. — Carl (CBM · talk) 15:15, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New deal for page patrollers
Hi Jncraton,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
