BroadLight: Articles created.
Jeremy, Thanks for you help with the BroadLight article.
Semiexpert (talk) 06:32, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- You're very welcome. I don't think your submission should have been declined so many times--the general criteria of AfC is that if an article would survive Articles for Deletion then it should be created. —JmaJeremy✆✎ 13:25, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Broadlight logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Broadlight logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:05, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Windows 8 release preview snapped apps.png)
Thanks for uploading File:Windows 8 release preview snapped apps.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:14, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Belated Welcome
Thanks for your welcome and I do like the cookie they were tasty (lol). I was wondering how on earth do you upload any pictures on here. Just asking. —Vampire's RuleMessage Me, I won't biteMy Records (VampireProject23) —Preceding undated comment added 10:40, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, Vampire! There are a couple of different ways of uploading pictures depending on what kind of picture it is. If it is a free image (i.e. it's in the public domain or licensed under something like Creative Commons-Attribution-ShareAlike) then you can upload it to Wikimedia Commons. If it's a copyrighted image that is necessary to properly illustrate an article then you can upload it directly to Wikipedia, as long as you provide a fair-use rationale.
- If it is a free work, then Commons has a really simple upload wizard to guide you through the process: Commons Upload Wizard. If it's a copyrighted fair-use image, then use the Wikipedia Upload Wizard.
- This might be a lot to take in at once, so if you need any clarification, just let me know. —JmaJeremy✆✎ 13:16, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- I will have to ask more frequently then, call me Jessica if you like, I am a fan of Twilight the one that Stephenie Meyer wrote.

- Great, welcome to Wikipedia, Jessica. I really hope you decide to stick around! Let me know if you need any more help. Sometimes Wikipedia can be intimidating at first with all its policies and guidelines, but quickly one realizes how great it is to be a part of the largest encyclopedia on the planet. —JmaJeremy✆✎ 13:43, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Bootie bicycle submitted article - how to fix it?
Hi Jeremy, I submitted for review an article on Bootie bicycle. I don't understand what the problem is with it and I don't have any idea what to do about it. regards Conollyb (talk) 23:08, 14 August 2012 (UTC)

- Hi JMAJeremey
- There were supposed to be about 550 words and a pic.
- I've tried to submit it again, however... the instructions in the box at the top say "If this submission is ready to be reviewed, click here and press Save page". I click on 'here' and the page that opens is blank, which is probably what happened last time. How do I submit the article, complete with content? Its ready to be reviewed. regards Brian — Preceding unsigned comment added by Conollyb (talk • contribs) 08:14, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Conollyb. It looks you were successful in saving the article. Once you're satisfied that it complies with notability and verifiability standards feel free to resubmit it. —JmaJeremy✆✎ 14:19, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry to be a pain, but how do I submit it? What do I click on? Cheers Brian Conollyb (talk) 21:48, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- If you go to the submission, you'll see there's a line in the grey box that says "If this submission is ready to be reviewed, click here and press Save page." Just click on where it says "click here" then save the page. This will change the "draft" template to a "submitted" template. —JmaJeremy✆✎ 14:06, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

User talk:121.74.37.33
RE your edit to No Idea (band). I think you make a mistake. Firstly Anarchism and leftist are not necessarily opposites at all; check out the Wiki pages on Left anarchism, Anarcho-syndicalism, Anarchist communism, Collectivist anarchism, etc.
Anyway, irrespective of you view or definition of Anarchism even if they were opposites that's not to say a band can't release different tracks espousing opposing views. The page would be more accurate if you put back the change. Perhaps use and 'or' instead of an 'and'. 121.74.37.33 (talk)
- I don't have any opinion on No Idea (band) one way or the other. I reverted your edit because it looked like vandalism to me. If you disagree, feel free to restore it or start a discussion at Talk:No Idea (band). —JmaJeremy✆✎ 20:08, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

AFT5 newsletter
Hey again all :). So, some big news, some small news, some good news, some bad news!
On the "big news" front; we've now deployed AFT5 on to 10 percent of articles, This is pretty awesome :). On the "bad news", however, it looks like we're having to stop at 10 percent until around September - there are scaling issues that make it dangerous to deploy wider. Happily, our awesome features engineering team is looking into them as we speak, and I'm optimistic that the issues will be resolved.
For both "small" and "good" news; we've got another office hours session. This one is tomorrow, at 22:00 UTC in #wikimedia-office connect - I appreciate it's a bit late for Europeans, but I wanted to juggle it so US east coasters could attend if they wanted :). Hope to see you all there!

CVUA
Hi Jeremy - I'm awfully sorry about the problems with your earlier instructor, but I hope we can smoothly transition back into the typical swing of things, and I'm happy to be your new replacement instructor! Firstly, how far into instruction had you and Morning gotten? Thanks! Theopolisme :) 20:29, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Theo! I'm surprised to hear about Morning277, he seems like a perfectly nice guy from the conversations we've had off-wiki. We hadn't gotten too far, I think mainly because both of us procrastinated a bit in acting upon e-mails. He did give me some helpful instructions on using Huggle generally, and was planning to give me more details about some of the advanced features, such as defining different filters. He also told me that he would soon find me someone who knew more about AutoWikiBrowser to help me on that side of things. —JmaJeremy✆✎ 04:25, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I'd be happy to help you with AWB, if that's the direction you'd like to go! Theopolisme :) 11:00, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- OK, it would be interesting if you could help me with some of the common uses of AWB. It has a bit of an overwhelming interface. I've done a bit of basic spell checking in select categories such as backlogged articles tagged as needing copyediting, but I've noticed a lot of editors use it for things such as "stub sorting." Would you have any suggestions for a good place to start learning more about the advanced functions of AWB? —JmaJeremy✆✎ 17:06, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hmmm... I think Riley, another CVUA instructor, would be a good guy to talk to - he's kind of the "resident AWB guru" here at the CVUA. I'll ping him and let him know, if that sounds alright.... Thanks! Theopolisme :) 21:44, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
- I would love to help but.. I will be busy until the 31 (Week today) :(. I would try to help right now but I am using a BlackBerry tablet and things take forever to.. I would be glad teach you if you are willing to wait. Do you have AWB permissions? -- Cheers, Riley Huntley talk 22:45, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

AWB
Might as well create a new section. Have you downloaded AWB yet? If so, what version? I suggest using the latest SVN version can be found via a link from AWB's main page or here. Most people who use AWB alot use the latest SVN version. If an editor is using a SVN version, which version will show up in the edit summary. -- Cheers, Riley Huntley talk 23:13, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
- I have it installed on one of my computers, not sure which version though. I'll make sure to get the latest SVN version from now on. —JmaJeremy✆✎ 23:27, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
