Hi. In U-KISS, you recently added links to the disambiguation pages Nationwide and Live (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:32, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on U-KISS 1st Japan Live Tour, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. FYI

[edit]

I noticed the new article that you created and I was a bit worried that the ELs did not go to any info about the film. Thus, I requested help for the film project here Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film#New article that might need some help. My apologies of this causes any offense to you. I am just trying to make sure that we have the best article possible. MarnetteD | Talk 15:19, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User "jonkerz" reviewed the links that supports the article, and it is related to the film. However, if you are referring to the External Link, i agree for your deletion. Thank you for informing me, i might copied the wrong link. jmarkfrancia (talk) 06:38, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. I thought the refs looked okay but didn't have time to check all of them. I am glad that the review by others confirmed your good work. The IMDb link went to the 2009 film and I couldn't find one for this new film. I'm sure that they will have one eventually so if you check them from time to time I'm sure you will be able to add the correct link some time in the next few months. Thanks for your work and cheers. Hi, Jivesh Here

[edit]

Hi. Are you a fan of Beyonce? Coming to this, not sure because they have written "plutinum". This is suspicious. 17:17, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Yes im a fan, also, i have seen a lot of leaked tracklist for the Platinum Edition but i don't believe it since it is not yet stated in the Wikipedia page of 4, furthermore, there is still no statement from Columbia confirming it. :))) jmarkfrancia (talk) 17:37, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know you are a fan. I am a huge fan. By the way, don't even bother about Columbia. They are too lazy when it comes to Beyonce. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:38, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's what i notice too. They dont give us updates. hehe. By the way, Nice meeting you, where are you from? jmarkfrancia (talk) 17:50, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
They have treated 4 very badly. It does not cost much to have an iTunes banner. Thank you and nice meeting you too. I am from Mauritius. I am a male and I am 18 years old. And you? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:55, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Me 2. I like to talk to fans of Beyonce. Hmm, I am here everyday at this time. In fact, I am here from 05 UTC to 18 UTC. Okay? Which of her songs do you like the most? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:59, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I really cant choose! I love all of her songs! But as of now, im inlove with Start Over, Love on Top, Smash Into You and End Of Time. What about you? jmarkfrancia (talk) 18:08, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Same here. I don't choose when it comes to Beyonce. However, I hate "Daddy" and "Signs" (two old songs of hers). "End of Time" is my favorite. It is so good. And the video of "Dance for You" made me fall in love with the song though it's very feminine. Lol. I also love the Sasha Fierceness in "Schoolin' Life". I have created articles for all the songs. :) You should join her Wiki-project. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 18:13, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
yeah, i agree with you i dont like Daddy also.hehe :)) Uhm, Dance For You was my addiction last month. I do really switch from Beyonce songs only. hehe, though im a bit of Jesse McCartney fan. I saw your Talk Page, it was reallt great! SHAME on mine. hehehe. I would love to join her Wiki-project but im a bit late when it comes to information, before i know it, its already been stated in the Wikipedia. File permission problem with File:OurLadyofPiat-image.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:OurLadyofPiat-image.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 07:56, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

what to do? :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iamkissme nell (talkcontribs) 08:07, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. You are U-KISS fan right? Here's what to do. Since i am the only one creating and updating U-KISS and other related articles here in Wikipedia. I am asking for you to help me in doing such tasks because it's kinda difficult for me to watch out or see any vandalism, false information posted on every U-KISS-related pages.

Here is what to do:

  • Update the pages if.... A) You found new information about it. B) Remove any information that you think is false, but if a small blue number appears on the end of the sentence you are trying to remove, it only means there is a VALID Reference for it and you dont have the right to remove such.

NOTE: We dont have any article for HOON/SOOHYUN/AJ so if you are planning to create them. Ask me for instructions.

NOTE: We dont have any article for NOT YOUNG/I LIKE YOU so if you are planning to create them. Ask me for instructions.

Others:

If you found any new information, click on the ARTICLE. for example, A Shared Dream, click on the TALK. And add there the information you want to add, together with the Reliable link, i repeat, Reliable Link/Source for that information. Please do not directly edit the page and add them.

Thank You so much for the help!

And i almost forget, whenever you post anything on a TALK Page, please add 4 ~ on your last sentence so your signature will show up. (Like this --> ~ ~ ~ ~ just remove the spaces) jmarkfrancia (talk) 08:21, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:U-KISS on cover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:U-KISS on cover.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — ξxplicit 05:09, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I responded to your note on my talk page, but wanted to leave a note here as well: thank you for your help. User:Nicky456 left me a note as well (they're not happy), but at least there's some talking going on. I will have to re-draft the entire body of the article, the lead and early life has been revised, the rest of the sub sections needs major refurbish as it does not meet neutral point of view. The career higlights can just be narrowed down to three sub sections as opposed to the one's you reverted since the entry is a BLP of a media person and not a BLP of a musician (patterning it to a Beyonce or Celine article), as your subsections most likely refer to, it technically doesnt say anything about what's in the body of each section as these have not been refined, and it tips to more of a Fansite edit rather than Wikipedia entry. Early work, Breakthrough and Critical success will suffice as the career breakdown. I will work on cleaning up the enitre article, I need to review WP:RS as several citations and references don't look reliable in the sub sections. After the rewtire I'll submit it to WP:PR and WP:GOCE as i know the aim is for 'featured article status' and right now it's a far cry from it. Pseud 14 (talk) 04:44, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I also patterned this article to that of Beyonce, and i guess Early work, Breakthrough and Critical success are still not the best description in the career breakdown. Regarding the sources, it is difficult to find sources especially on old information, but majority of the sources cited in the article are okay, (but im still not sure if they are reliable). I just tried improving the article because it really looked so dull and lack of information before, and i will be very happy if you will improve it more. Regarding the Legacy, Philantrophy, Filmography and Awards, i think they are important in the article so please do not remove them. Thanks. God Bless. jmarkfrancia (talk) 10:28, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175

[edit]

Dear JmKissme,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,

On speedy deletions and G1

[edit]

Hey, JmKissme! I saw that you put a G1 speedy deletion tag on the article Altapresyon. I've removed the tag, as it doesn't qualify under this criterion. G1 is for patent nonsense: this means things like random strings of characters (e.g. "zdnjmuhxfsjakygcj syfwjsftd7rasjd") or word salad (e.g. "Apple Tuesday abeyance dialect elephant"). A case could be made for things on the level of "Colorless green ideas sleep furiously" (though obviously not for that phrase in particular), but anything that makes more sense than that definitely doesn't qualify for G1. You might have been looking for Template:db-hoax, which is a subset of the G3 (vandalism) criterion, but even that wouldn't work. The article is talking about a real "web series", if you want to call it that; it appears to actually be a series of Youtube videos. If anything applies here, it would be Template:db-web, which is a subset of the A7 (no asserted significance) criterion.

Now, I point this out not to be all bureaucratic. Speedy deletion is a powerful tool, since it is a means for articles do be deleted with little time or discussion, and so its criteria are interpreted very narrowly. It's just not a good idea to try to "bend" the definitions so they match the article, or vice versa. If in doubt, better to send it to AfD. Thanks! Writ Keeper 17:04, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Indio Poster.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Indio Poster.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:28, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Marian Rivera into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Explaining what you are doing in the edit history is good practice anyway and would likely have meet the WP:CWW requirements as well if you had done so. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Marian Rivera as Darna, 2009.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Marian Rivera as Darna, 2009.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Geraldo Perez (talk) 15:44, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for the concern but i dont think i fully understood what you are trying to say. Can i ask what is a commentary that is lacking in the file description? jmarkfrancia (talk) 04:48, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
We can't use non-free images as illustrations in living person articles. Character appearance images go in the article about the show or the character, not the article about the actor. In general commentary about the image itself in the article the image is used in is necessary to qualify for fair-use and the use of the image must be shown to be necessary for understanding and textual descriptions are not enough. It is not justified fair-use just to show the appearance of an actor in a acting role in the actor article. The infobox already has a free-use image that shows the appearance of the actor. That is sufficient. Geraldo Perez (talk) 07:09, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh okay. I understand now. So is it okay if i put the image on the show's article rather than the artist's article? jmarkfrancia (talk) 09:32, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It is best for a show article to use one image of the complete starring cast in character, not individual character images to reduce the number of fair-use images used to the minimum necessary. If there is a character article it is justified fair-use to show the image of that character in the infobox of the article. Geraldo Perez (talk) 15:16, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You clearly copied the text from somewhere, but did not indicate what the source is (and in particular whether the source is free). Could you please do it, either by making a new edit and indicating this in the edit summary, or by leaving a note at the talk page. Thanks.--Ymblanter (talk) 15:56, 8 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding to the reverts of my edit regarding to Lloyd Cafe Cadena

[edit]

Hello! I just received a tip from an IP address user to remove some of its content regarding to Lloyd Cafe Cadena since it contains indiscriminating content that may require further verification or clarification. (See Talk:Lloyd Cafe Cadena#Death section for details)

I understand your reason why you reverted my edits. However, since it involves a death of an internet personality and some information may require additional verification and proper sources to avoid misinformation, I or we may remove or revert your edits in order to be readable to readers and to properly clarify some of its content, which may include texts, references and sources. The latter is to comply with Wikipedia's guidelines.

Please note that I'm only doing my job in editing articles in Wikipedia and not to backfire or harm you in a way possible.

Please understand this situation.

(UPDATE: Just talked to the administrator who made the article semi-protected [User talk:MelanieN#Suggestion for additional article protection to Lloyd Cafe Cadena]. Let's not do an edit war. But please respect.) Jhenny38 (Starters talk, My contributions) 23:37, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Zaijian Jaranilla in Darna TV series (cropped).png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Zaijian Jaranilla in Darna TV series (cropped).png.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 08:07, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, i will work on them. But i am not an authorized participant to approve a draft article. But i will definitely expand your articles to be qualified as encyclopedic rather than a fan page so it will not be denied. jmarkfrancia (talk) 06:15, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, i have worked on Josh Cullen Santos page and expanded it. Please dont change the tone of the article so it will not be marked as "fanpage". Will definitely expand more on that. jmarkfrancia (talk) 07:10, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have expanded it but it was reverted back to the original draft. With articles being submitted as draft, it has very slim chance to pass to international editors. I suggest we don't resubmit it and will make a new article without submission. I think that would be better. jmarkfrancia (talk) 07:39, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
