[edit]- Thank you. I added a citation to the education section that links to Dr. Schlosser's CV. For the memberships, i did cite all that publicly show him as a member. Should I include a citation to his CV again as a way to mark the others? Jlfranzasu (talk) 20:30, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- A person's CV generally isn't considered a reliable source unfortunately, sources generally need to be independent of the subject of the article. If there's any articles which talk about him within the context of alumni of those schools then that would be a better option. Turnagra (talk) 20:41, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarifying. I was able to cite articles that place Dr. Schlosser's research to his time of study and his affiliation to his two mentors. Please advise if additional citations are needed. Jlfranzasu (talk) 23:30, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Turnagra, all sources do not need to be independent; only those which establish notability. A self-published CV is fine for facts. We usually use CVs as the source for dates of degrees, etc, and commonly include a link to it in external links for articles about academics.
- @Jlfranzasu, don't include a list of memberships. Instead put those which are honors rather than ordinary memberships into an Awards and honors section. An elected fellow of the AAAS is an honor.
