Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi wiki entry
You sent me a message about my addition to this wiki entry, but I was only adding something which was previously deleted. The content which was deleted was critical of the person the entry is based on, and the citations were delted as well. I was fortunate to find the content which pasted on another website, but unfortunately the refrences which were cited were deleted. Anyways, there is nothing in the content which needs to be cited as it is a general understanding of his methodology based on well known statements he himself has made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.86.132.73 (talk) 04:01, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Jeff, it is no surprise that now you've been dragged into this fracas. However, if you will be so kind as to consult the other admins RJ has got involved in this, you'll see I am attacking no one. It is unfortunate that you saw a post of mine in which I had reached the end of my rope.
Please, I ask you, do not come threatening me with a block for nothing. Is this site to be dictated to, by Republican Jacobite, or is it to be fair and assume good faith? Or do you not believe in following your Wikipedian code?
RJ has stated (in a quiet, out-of-the-way mode) that he is quitting any connexion with Steampunk. If so, and since I am not attacking him, is this not at an end? - I think it is.75.21.113.40 (talk) 02:44, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
- I have no opinion on the content. Also, I am not an Administrator here (yet). However, civility is policy around here. This edit was uncivil. Please follow WP:DR to civilly address your concern(s). Thank you. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:30, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
Editing Muammar Gaddafi
Hello!

http://www.mathaba.net/news/?x=629132 is a credible citation.

WP article? Really? You do know Mathaba has been around since 1982? You even have a wikipedia page on them with the information I wanted to add to Gaddafi's page. Same thing that is on there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.217.86.175 (talk) 04:07, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
- Mathaba has been "providing a virtual shrine to Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi" (from page 2 of "David F. Gallagher (10 November 2002). "Word for Word/Cyberdiplomacy; Mr. Qaddafi, You've Got Mail: 'Hope 2cu Soon Again in the Desert'". New York Times. Retrieved 22 October 2011."). That does not exactly paint Mathaba as being unbiased, and article Mathaba News Agency is replete with information about Mathaba's loyalistic pro-Gaddafi spin on the facts. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 14:31, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
Syntax problem on Friends of the Everglades page
Sir, I was asked to put in infobox on a page I had created [Friends of the Everglades], but have a problem with syntax with the image. Could you or someone please make the small fix to the syntax in the infobox? Thanks, my knowledge of syntax is not complete. Natural (talk) 09:20, 4 November 2011 (UTC)Natural

Desperate Housewives Episode 4.09 "Something's Coming"
It's not a particular edit I have maid ; which doesn't need a reference, it's just one sentence which declare it's one of the most famous episode of the show. 80.14.138.16 (talk) 21:41, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- Do you have any verifiable references from reliable sources to back up that claim? — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 21:52, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- There's no need to have a reference. Do you think the episode 3.07 "Bang" from this same show has a reference for this sentence in its presentation? But it is one of the most famous episode of the show too... 80.14.138.16 (talk) 22:00, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
Edit/reports
This edit [1] looks pretty odd in light of the edit history: [2]. You may be huggling a bit too fast. I think these edits are good faith and so the warnings are bitey. Regards, causa sui (talk) 21:49, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, and thank you for your concern. Adding unsourced information to an article, or creating an article that is unsourced, is a warnable offence - see Template:Uw-unsor1 et al. Similarly, removing information from an article without justification is also a warnable offence - see Template:Uw-delete1 et al. Also, doing it after promising not to is unacceptable. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 22:04, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- Um, could you look at that again? That doesn't make any sense. You yell at them for adding unsourced information, then you yell at them for removing the same information. That's pretty Kafkaesque. According to that logic, I should give you a {{uw-unsor1}} for your revert? Please be a little more understanding. --Floquenbeam (talk) 22:13, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

Open Air stereo
Hello,
My edit for the band page for Open Air Stereo was completely valid. They have a new bassplayer, I provided a link supporting the information. Hence completely valid.

I am trying to upload an image of my boss, Dr. Paul Root Wolpe, for his page. The image I uploaded with removed because I did not specify the copyright/license status. How do I do this? The image is taken from his biography on our department's web page and Dr. Wolpe requested that I add it.

CUe Cat edits
Hello Jeff,
I was the one updating the cue cat record with the help or a more experienced editor than I. bb23 and cullen came back and started undoing factual references and have done this repeatedly over and over to ANYONE editing the CUe cat record and ANY record associated with this company. You can look at the records and clearly see thier undo pattern.
Additionally, I warned them of the wiki policy of inflamatory comments on living people and they were and had addded that to the device record of CUE CAT and that is not allowed and I correct the inflamatory part.
So, how can I do this. I posted links and suggestions for 3 weeks, and all theose two is go back edit out undo and add in inflamatory stuff and I know that is against wiki rules ProofPlus Professional Researcher 21:24, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Loriot stamps
Hi,
Remember the German stamps saga on Commons? I don't know if you saw this message on Commons from the WMF legal team, but I thought it might be of interest to you. By the way, I know that last year you had requested their opinion about the German stamps problem in general. Did you ever get a reply from them? What did they say? Or are they just now beginning to wake up? For the moment, their message seems focused on one particular artist's works. -- Asclepias (talk) 15:10, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the notice. I certainly do remember that, but I don't remember hearing anything back from the WMF office or legal (team or department). I'll check my records when I get home. I would support your efforts to revive discussion of the suitability of German stamps on Commons, as they are simply "not free enough". — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 23:41, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
- According to my records, nobody from the WMF got back to me. I have requested reconsideration here. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 21:39, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
- The deleting admin has not edited any WMF project in two months. I have emailed that person. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 15:22, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
Need assistance regarding a user who continues to troll Cung Le articles
Hi, I just wanted to know if you can help edit or help me contact someone regarding a specific user who refuses to acknowledge any proof that I have provided regarding a recent error by the UFC.
The specific user in question is Glock17gen4. His only evidence is a picture based on a mistake by UFC production, where MMA fighter Cung Le has already responded that he did not know about, yet Glock17gen4 refuses to accept that and continues to revert Cung Le's Nationality as a current Vietnamese national.
I have provided significant proof in both discussions at the UFC 139 and Cung Le's articles. Please take a look. Cung Le has acknowledged both his American nationality and his Vietnamese heritage (especially with the 3 striples flag which represents the fallen Saigon). I hope you can help. Both his website at CungLe.com and UFC.com profile describe him as a Vietnamese-American and he quoted as calling himself an American Wushu champion. Glock17gen4 seems to not understand the differences between Nationality and Ethnicity. He continues to only use that one picture as his proof. PinoyFilAmPride (talk) 23:46, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

...
He said that Jews were not real jews, only jews that had anscestors raped by muslism were (since the basic premise for his source is that whoever is currently near that land is the real gentic starting point). You tell me a cuddly way to deal with people insulting an entire ethnicity, I'll consider it, but before the war, that was the mistake. :I change the last bit so I'm no longer calling him a retard, but I was really doing him a favor. 174.88.67.5 (talk) 05:02, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Huggle problem
Hello, Jeff. In this edit you blanked an article. I assume this was either a mistake on your part or a malfunction of Huggle. I have restored what I guess what what you intended to revert to. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:14, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Problem about User38563
What are we gonna do with this guy? Every time he is blocked, he keeps find another computer (IP adress) to re-edit the articles back. Look at the Alexander Povetkin article. He just undid you last edit, with the IP adress: 178.105.216.241.
I suggest we make the article semi-protected, so only users can edit the site. ?
