  • Look into adding more detail and depth about the importance and impact of Czechs in Texas.
  • Give a few specific examples of the Czech Texan identity( how you mentioned architecture, food, and traditional events). Give a few strong examples of each to give the reader a more vivid image of Czech traditions and development.
  • Not sure if this information is somewhere in your research, but maybe give the reasons why Czechs were more highly attracted to Texas than other states.

Political and Ethnic Identity:

  • Go into more depth about describing how the Civil War helped create the identity of Czechs within Texas.
  • Could give examples of what Czechs faced more specifically that helped them become more accustomed to life in the U.S. as well as Texas.
  • Describe the increase of immigration of Czechs after the Union blockade was over.
  • Describe the overall process of how Czechs started getting accustomed to the United States during the time of the Civil War, and discuss their struggles of getting accustomed while also keeping true to their heritage. Emilynicole0224 (talk) 00:05, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • What kind of political identity did they hold and why was American democracy so foreign to them? Expand on their political identity because I'm not really sure from reading this what Czechs believed in and why they came to America.Kav026 (talk) 01:06, 28 March 2019 (UTC)Kayla Vickers[reply]

Military Service:

  • If you have the information, give the statistics of what percentage of Czechs chose to join Confederacy and the Union, etc.
  • Give a little of a background of the Civil War to create a better flow and understanding within this heading.
  • Maybe explain how Czechs serving under the Confederate army helped create a stronger connection between Czechs and Texas( Since Texas was part of the Confederacy).
  • If you have the information, give more reasons as to why the some stayed with the Confederacy while others served in the Union Army or hid. Also, discuss the amount of Czechs that were involved in the war. Emilynicole0224 (talk) 00:05, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why did some Czechs want to fight in the Army but others did not? Was it because of their political views, did they not agree with the war, or did they just not side with the America's way of naturalization?Kav026 (talk) 01:06, 28 March 2019 (UTC)Kayla Vickers[reply]

Family Life:

  • Describe if farming was the only focus of Czech families or if there were other functions that Czech families focused on.
  • Also include information of Czech children: Did they go to school? Did they only help with house and farm work?
  • Give estimates of general family sizes of Czech Texans.
  • Might be able to go more into detail about Czech traditions here with Czech foods made by families and the Czech holidays that were celebrated (or could create an entire new heading describing Czech traditions in Texas).

  • How did the families produce homemade commodities were they grown, bought at a cheaper price, or traded with other families?Kav026 (talk) 01:06, 28 March 2019 (UTC)Kayla Vickers[reply]

Individual Stories: Anthony M. Dignowity:

Overall, the structure of the page is solid and citations are given well from reliable sources: however, you simply need to go more in-depth in some areas to help give it better flow throughout the whole page. This will help readers understand the importance of Czech Texans at a larger scale. Also, I'm not sure if you were going to do this (and you most likely will), but add more stories under the "Individual Stories" headline.

The article is very good, but it could use more detailed information. Also, most information comes from a single source, so finding some more material (if possible) might be helpful. Also, adding more information on individual people as well as the impact that individuals and the Czech population as a whole had on the State of Texas would be great! Overall, you have a great article!

After reading the article, I found that the article could use some more detail to describe why Czech immigrants focused on Texas as their home. Try adding more information about their political background, for example, were they drawn to anti-slavery because of the feudal system? Overall, I did enjoy reading the article the material is well written and easy to comprehend. Kav026 (talk) 01:06, 28 March 2019 (UTC)Kayla Vickers[reply]
