Upon reexamination, I see that you are correct. It looked like you were perhaps trying to revert the vandalism, and erred somehow. Is that what happened? Sorry about the error and the confusion, and thanks for your message. As far as your question is concerned (i.e., how did I find the vandalism), I always inspect every change made to every article on my watch list, especially when said change is made by an anonymous user. ---Charles 18:43, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Duplicate images uploaded
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:RF.png. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:RF.PNG. The copy called Image:RF.PNG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 04:15, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Editing
[edit]Hi, I noticed you made 13 straight edits in World Footballer of the Year. It might make your editing job easier if you hit the "Show Preview" button before actually submitting future edits. Beemer69 (talk) 01:57, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. There's so many little things you'll pick up on Wiki as you go along, and you'll feel like a big shot in no time. In regards to the Kaka issue, Reuters is a respectable source, unlike many other football-related media outlets, but I'd still prefer we waited until the announcement is made official by France Football on December 2 before updating the Kaka page. What's one more week? :o) Beemer69 (talk) 05:52, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
RE:Brett Favre
[edit]My only problem with your edit is that it seems a bit random:
"Favre is currently playing his 17th season in the NFL and has started every game since his first start for the Packers in 1992. He was named Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated in 2007. His records include:..."
You see what I mean? Like the original way flows nicely and transitions from sentence to sentence. But with the SotY sentence, it just suddenly states something. It is just suddenly there, and all it is is a short "He was/is" sentence. Another thing is that this is already mentioned in the Infobox on the right, and in his records section. I think if it can be blended into the intro, then maybe it would be good, but right now it really shouldnt stand like it is. Ultimately, since we are talking about one of the most awarded players in sports, that we shouldnt have this reference in the intro. Maybe in the 2007 season section, simply stating that during the season he won this award would probably be good. Hope this helps.

- Yeah I see what you mean about past winners, but the only problem is that Favre has won about every award there is, I even think he may have been SotY in a past year. Even Tom Brady has not amassed all the awards and records that Favre has, so listing every record or award in the intro would be chaos at best. I was just giving you fair warning that most people that watch the Favre page may not like how it is right now, and thus may just remove it since the info is already stated a couple times in the article. Also, when posting on talk pages, all you have to do is click the "+" sign found at the top of every talk page, which will then give you an area to put a header and your message, and then it will properly format it onto the talk page if there is html coding on it. Or if you can just click the "edit" tab and leave the message at the bottom of all text, which will then keep the formatting right. Oh and if you have any questions about anything, I am very willing to help or answer any question, although it seems you are doing well so far :-) Have a good day/night.

Hello. Just an FYI, but right now, that article has Super Bowl MVP's in it and not the coaches, you may want to correct it soon (before somebody tries to delete it). Alternatively, maybe a single article/list with all the Super Bowl awards combined together for easy reference? -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 23:18, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Ah, how did I find your article? There's a Wikipedia page at Special:Newpages which has the last few hundred or so newly created articles on it, updated each time an article is created. (I think it's database driven.) Anyway, I spend some of my Wikipedia time scanning that for articles that either need help or deletion -- saw your article, and dropped a note. BTW, I think the article idea is a good one -- good luck! -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 23:32, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Chris Ayer
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Chris Ayer. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chris Ayer. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:13, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Hi! I restored the article. But you need to add several reliable sources or the article may be nominated for deletion. Regards, --Carioca (talk) 19:08, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Stanford Talisman
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on Stanford Talisman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. TM 05:29, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 27
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mission High School (San Francisco, California), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mother Jones (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
