Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article Dal pat, please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Jaiprakashsingh! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 2 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Jitendra Prasad (Naval architect) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

freshwater periwinkles

[edit]

Hello Jai Prakash Singh, Thank you for your very interesting image of the meat of freshwater periwinkles, an image that you placed in the periwinkle article. I would very much like to try to identify these to species. Could you do us a big favor and make a photograph that shows the shells of these winkles? Actually, ideally it would be very nice to have one photo of the live animals whole (perhaps showing the river they came from), one photo of the empty shells along with their "trap doors" if they have those, and also one image of the cooked dish you make right before you eat them, assuming that you do indeed cook them. It would also be very helpful to note in the description where you collected these snails and also how big they are. This is all very interesting! Because they were from freshwater I think maybe they are nerites, Neritidae rather than winkles Littorinidae. Many thanks and all good wishes to you, Sat Sri Akaal, Invertzoo (talk) 12:18, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Thank you for uploading free images/media such as File:Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan.jpg to Wikipedia! As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In the future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view your previous uploads). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading!-- shivam (t) 17:23, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
