[edit]Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to 39-41 Lower Fort Street, Millers Point, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at 39-41 Lower Fort Street, Millers Point, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:53, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Jackzingo and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. On Wikipedia, all content added must be verifiable. Please add sources using WP:CITE when adding content. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:58, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
- Please stop adding unsourced content and removing properly sourced ones.HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:01, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at 39-41 Lower Fort Street, Millers Point shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editingâespecially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's workâwhether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each timeâcounts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warringâeven if you don't violate the three-revert ruleâshould your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Some Issues you're having - Referencing and Warring
[edit]Hi there,
I've spotted that you're currently having 2 main issues- the edit wars you're warned for above, and how you're going about demonstrating your sourcing.
Edit warring is actually easier to explain. It's often called 3RR - in effect, don't do either reverts/undos, or edits that do the same (e.g. deleting content another editor put back) within 24 hours. It actually applies a little wider than that, so think of it as "not more than 3 reverts within 31 hours".
You've already found your way to the talk page - you can use it for any disagreement on content, not just about the article's name.
Referencing - claiming facts are supported because "Information provided by owner of the property" will get absolutely nowhere on Wikipedia. No-one can demonstrate they're have these links, and we can't challenge the reliability of the source, and we're also an encyclopedia - committed to using secondary sources.
As such, editors will keep undoing your changes, because the current state of evidence supports their side. You need to find: significant, reliable, secondary sources.
If you find a source, but aren't sure how to add it, either take a look at referencing for beginners, or ask for a hand at the TEAHOUSE. Nosebagbear (talk) 09:35, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
Thank you Nosebagbear. Itâs not worth any effort . Researching for thesis works previously showcased that in scholarly forums itâs accepted Wikipedia is not a reliable source . Secondary sources over primary says it all . Your comment however is appreciated.
