Sorry
Sorry, I see yesterday's move caught you out - just unlucky timing. I tried to choose a quiet time.... However you seem to have spotted it, so all is well I guess.--ClubOranjeT 10:09, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi J Mo. This is just a quick courtesy note to say I've removed the PROD you placed at Metro Gerela as the subject appears to meet WP:ATHLETE due to his two appearances in the Canadian Football League. —BETTIA— talk 14:18, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi there JMO, VASCO from Portugal here,
please pay attention to this Colombian "user", i see you have had some run-ins with him in this player's article. I don't doubt the nickname "RODAYEGUA" (yegua = mare) is correct but, as you point it out, it's not that widespread, but the user could not care less what we think and does not give a chance, he even goes as far as calling VANDALS to people who remove the stuff in box.
I am currently engaged in a war with him in Quique Sánchez Flores, called me a vandal too, i have discussed it at WP:FOOTY and am off to seek administrator help.
Regards, happy weekend - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 21:37, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
The article Rochdi Karaa has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Thank You
Thank you very much for your help with Evaldas Razulis it is greatly appreciated. I also thought he might not have played for skonta riga found it on a few different sources but majority didn't. A few even had is age ten years younger than he is. Thanks again. Warburton1368 (talk) 15:13, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- Just noticed the futbolinis profile has him playing in the baltic cup with Skonto in january this year take it he went on loan there before Hearts. Warburton1368 (talk) 18:46, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi there. Do you think I added those players just for fun? I used the squad on official website of the league as a reference. I am aware that the newest players are currently missing there. --Leyo 21:04, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Sorry, I probably should have mentioned it in my edit summary. The players you added are listed in the reserve team on the club's official website here and here. They can always be added later if they become regular first teamers during the season. J Mo 101 (talk) 09:04, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- An edit summary is always valuable. I use the official squad lists on the Axpo Super League's website as a reference for all clubs in this league. It is probably best to wait for the season to start (next weekend). Then, we know more about the squad. --Leyo 09:25, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
Boycie
Hi there,
There is a good book I remember I once had called Hatters Heroes by Roger Wash, but I no longer have it (ex-girlfriend threw it away or something), but that had a good profile on Boycie in it. The other books I used to have aren't new enough for Boycie anyway; there is a new 125-year book on Luton, but I forget the name of it; sorry, on holiday so not really with it right now... What I would do if I were you would be to look at back copies of The Luton News or Herald & Post; those are the two local papers. Their affiliated website is Luton Today, so maybe start there if you haven't already. I myself have found a lot of oldish sources from around the same timeframe, so you should be able to find something there.
I'm sorry for not being especially helpful, but if there's any other way I can help or provide advice, just drop me another note. I'm always happy to help. Good luck, and good work so far on the Boycie article! =) —Cliftonianthe orangey bit 01:38, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- Just a quick note, Luton Today would be the work, not the publisher. The publisher is Johnston Press. Good work on the article though, keep it up. —Cliftonianthe orangey bit 18:56, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- It is a subtle difference, but important for both GAN and FAC (especially the latter). Put very basically, the "work" is the actual thing you are reading, for example, The Times. Some works are self-published, for example The New York Times, so in these cases you just leave the publisher field blank. But most, like The Times, are actually published by a similarly-named, but separate entity; in The Times's case by Times Newspapers; the location for The Times is of course London, but some readers may not know this, so best to clarify. Where the paper has the location in the name, like The New York Times, this isn't really necessary, but I still do it anyway. I also see you haven't included many author names in the article; if I were you I'd have a quick run-through and use the "first" and "last" tags for first and last names where they are included. Soccerbase is a work of Centurycomm, The Daily Mirror is published by Trinity Mirror, The Guardian is from London and published by Guardian News and Media (though because the names are so similar "The Guardian (London)" is acceptable)... I hope this is helping. Let me know if you'd like more advice. —Cliftonianthe orangey bit 00:20, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- It's absolutely a pleasure. It doesn't really matter whether you use "cite news" or "cite web", though I tend to use "cite news" myself. —Cliftonianthe orangey bit 17:38, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
1950 German football champions
Would you be so kind and tell me why you've removed the inline citations in favor of just placing a link at the bottom of the page? Madcynic (talk) 10:48, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
- I've re-added them. Also, I think it's preferable to use one match template consistently, so I've changed the wikitable from the first round to use the footballbox template. Madcynic (talk) 12:14, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
