TMNT (2003) Episode Info

Thanks for putting up extra info on the episode pages for the TMNT (2003) Episode Guide. I'm hoping more people will come along so we can start adding more and more while filling out each episode page.

Good job!

Good job on the Skåneland article! I noticed that you managed to get that page into the good article category. By the way, it would be great to get some pictures on that page. I am going to contact Øresundstid to ask if Wikipedia may use a couple of illustrations from their archives. Please check the pictures out to see which one you think would be the best. I'll let you know what they say. Best, Pia 22:38, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Ha, ha. :) Yes, Johan, that's a little too much praise for someone who only added a popular culture reference. No offense intended---saw your name on the top of the history page so I figured you were the one who added and updated all that history to the page. Should have checked more carefully. I'll send this message to the person editing just before your pop culture update instead. Best wishes, Pia 03:52, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

In response to your question here, the answer is yes, essentially. The suffixes in parantheses are only used when disambiguation is needed.--SB | T 20:38, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Midnight Sunshine

Hi there -- I do not have the album in question; in fact, I had never even heard of Kikki Danielsson until yesterday. I assumed that whoever created the page entered the credits as shown in the album notes. If someone played piano, they are usually listed as playing piano, not keyboards, while someone listed as a keyboard player usually plays electronic keyboards.

The link used to be just keyboard, and I was simply changing the link from a disambiguation page to a specific page. Perhaps I should have used the more generic Keyboard instrument. --MrBoo (talk, contribs) 22:42, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Melodifestivalen songs/contestants

Hiya Johan, and before I start well done on your work with MF songs' and participants' articles, you've put in way more info than I could have! Just a quick problem I have though, why are there categories for certain years' MF songs? These categories only have one or two songs each and really only make the main songs category over-complicated (even though it doesn't need to be, I've only counted 26 articles on MF songs in total.) Another thing is the Melodifestivalen contestantscategory. I actually think this is a pretty useful category, but if one was to put all of the MF participants into this category there would only be a few articles in Category:Melodifestivalen—the main Melodifestivalen article and a couple of songwriters' articles. I'm not sure whether to move all the contestants here or to leave things as they are (which at the moment is a bit messy) and was wondering what you think. Thanks for reading and keep up the good work :) Joseph Aivalikli 20:38, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Take Me To Your Heaven

Hej. Don't you think that Take Me To Your Heaven, the song, is more important than the album of the same name? The album was named after the song, after all. The song won an international song contest. The album is just an album.

Surely the song's article should be entitled: "Take Me To Your Heaven", and the album should be "Take Me To Your Heaven (album)". That is, if the album even needs its own article; the answer to which I am currently unsure. Any thoughts? EuroSong talk 07:55, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Planet of the Turtles

You are right, the "Planet of the Turtles" and "Planet of the Turtleoids" are two different planets. I have restored the former. -- Ritchy 18:38, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for proposing the move to Category:Canadian rock music groups. However, please note that there are different Wikipedia procedures for moving categories compared to moving regular article pages. That is, category moves should be listed under WP:CFD, while article page moves are listed under WP:RM. Your rename proposal seems good, so I set up the proposal in Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_January_30#Category:Canadian_rock_groups) where you can add your vote. Hope this helps describe how the various Wikipedia renaming processes work. Dl2000 04:34, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Don't forget to use edit summaries

This is a reminder to use the edit summaries. I like what you did both for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007, but please remember to put down what you did. Thank you. Chris 20:43, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Reminder #2. I like what you are doing on addin the Swedish iw to the nordic skiing article, but please remember to add edit summaries to your articles. Chris 17:46, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Climate change

My apologies on the first revert. You orignially left a non-functional link, and I took it to be simple vandalism. However, per summary style, you shouldn't reduce an entire setion to a bare link, but rather leave a brief summary of what exists at the other page. Dragons flight 20:24, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't have a problem with the proposed move but it doesn't seem to have been listed on the requested moves page. If anyone did have a problem, they wouldn't be able to object.GordyB 21:34, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Sergej Sjirjajev

I saw you put in information that Sergej Sjirjajev had tested positive for doping in the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007. Can you please verify this with information if this was done before or during the event because I will remove this information if you cannot. Thank you. Chris 21:29, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

I found the information. Nevermind. Sorry about that. Chris 22:19, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi! I noticed you'd been doing some correcting and such of the various related pages, I grabbed the full album listing from the Swedish wiki, so there are links to work with now, but I don't have that much time. I'll see if I can grab the info for the albums so there's an unbroken trail from one album to the next here, but if you feel like helping with it, all the albums have pages over there, you just have to do some roundabout methods to get to a couple. Also, any chance you speak Swedish and could translate the bits that I can't? -Bbik 22:22, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Candela (band)

In January, you added "Candela, a Swedish band belonging to the "dansband" genre" to the Candela (disambiguation) page. However Candela (band) already existed for a US band mentioned earlier. Is there a page for the Swedish band ? -- Beardo 08:19, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi - I see you have recently created one or more new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 02:30, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on BAO 3 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

AfD nomination of Dimension X (TMNT)

An editor has nominated Dimension X (TMNT), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dimension X (TMNT) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 23:59, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Another editor has added the "prod" template to the article Slash (TMNT), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of Hjärtats trakt - en samling

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hjärtats trakt - en samling, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

notability is not properly established

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Films by year

Unfortunately, your opinion contrasts with the acceptable norm for categorizing films by decade on Wikipedia. Look at and ; no articles are in these categories. Please follow the accepted norm when categorizing films by decade. Fictional characters debuts

Have you discussed these "fictional characters debuts" categories with anyone else? I'm not sure they're really of value, but also the name seems grammatically awkward. I didn't start them, we already have Category:Fictional characters introduced in 1992 (we need a standard). And yes, not all fictional characters begin as comic book characters. J 1982 (talk) 15:17, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

The article Allting som ni gör kan jag göra bättre has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

fails WP:NALBUM

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Category:Video games set in the 22nd century

Hi, you added the above category to Flashback (video game); I reverted you because the category was deleted per this CfD last year. Just letting you know. Nifboy (talk) 22:43, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi. There's a problem with your use of this category/subcategories to create pages such as 1976 in fiction. Other pages in similarly-named categories are used for listing works of fiction written in those years. Your article is for works set in those years. I would suggest renaming these accordingly, eg. Works of fiction set in 1976. What do you think? Deb (talk) 12:03, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Several pages like this were created before, but I agrre, move to "fiction set in". J 1982 (talk) 15:09, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Your contributed article, 1989 in fiction

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, 1989 in fiction. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - 1989#Fictional. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 1989#Fictional - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding hang on to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Ravendrop 20:06, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mall:Fb team Proleter Zrenjanin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Category: Queensland in YYYY

Hi! I'm new to categorising on Commons and was responding to a request for people to help with categorisation of 4000+ new Queensland photos. I looked at the instructions https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Category and saw examples such as Category:Warsaw in September 1939, Category:April 2010 in Northern Ireland (that is, dates at both the front and the back) and the advice to look at other images already categorised. The examples I found were of the style "Queensland in the 1920s" (as they did not have exact years) so I used categories like "Queensland in 1925" when the photo had a precise year. If that's the wrong thing, then I am sorry but I *did* follow the instructions. How do I get the category names I have created swapped around? How do I get the instructions fixed so this information about the preferred format for years is contained there (I think it needs to explain the apparent inconsistency between "Place in the YYY0s" and "YYYY in Place"). The article Carli Tornehave has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the prod blp tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Tassedethe (talk) 16:24, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

The article Tommys has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not seem to meet WP:NMG.Lacks references.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Lsmll 12:18, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tomtegubben som hade snuva requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Thesixthstaff (talk) 18:53, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

 • dates
 • years
 • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
 • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

Thanks and my best wishes.

Womens vs Ladies

J 1982 (talk) 22:57, 14 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.

I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

 • dates
 • years
 • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
 • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

This applies to infoboxes, too.

Thanks, and my best wishes.

Cableway

Many thanks for starting it!! I cannot believe it was missing!! It's one of those entries, rather like the London bus or something which you just assumed had been started back in 2002 or something. That it took until 2014 to start it is most extraordinary, as prominent as it is. I can't believe I didn't notice it, even when I worked on Moonraker! Would be good to get this up to GA actually.♦ Dr. Blofeld 22:29, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

I also created the Port of Rio de Janeiro article, which I also found was very strange missing. I can't belive it too, it's world-famous, just like the red buses in London, and the yellow taxicabs in New York City. Thank you for expanding, it reminds a lot of the "good old days" of Wikipedia when you wrote an article and someone would quickly expand it. J 1982 (talk) 22:47, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

wikipedia hypocrisy and double standards

your reasoning behind wanting to keep demet muftuoglu's page is that you got a lot of hits on google search. if that is the basis of wanting to keep and putting an article about someone on wiki, why was AMANDA ELIASCH deleted who is actually very well known in the UK? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.22.228.31 (talk) 02:42, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

please make a genuine attempt in AfDs

Voting keep as above 6 times in 4 minutes shows you haven't even read the AfD and article in question. Also refer to WP:JUSTAVOTE LibStar (talk) 12:10, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

and 23 identical votes in 29 minutes. LibStar (talk) 12:19, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
you're obviously not even reading the article in question, nor the AfD just turning up blindly and voting keep regardless. It is non serious. LibStar (talk) 12:32, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

Prove to me you are actually reading the AfDs? LibStar (talk) 12:35, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

I don't vote twice. But I thought I could just vote as I want here (as in other language versions). J 1982 (talk) 12:39, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
23 identical keep as above votes in 29 minutes? No one can read and analyse that fast. LibStar (talk) 12:41, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

Basically you found the AfDs relisted for 17 august and pressed copy and paste over 20 times in less than 30 mins regardless of the actual discussion. LibStar (talk) 12:44, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

AfD isn't a vote. The closing administrator will look at the arguments put forward by the participants and look for consensus among those contributors who make policy-based arguments either way. 'Keep as above' is likely to simply be ignored by the closing administrator. --Michig (talk) 16:52, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

Just to clarify Michig's comment, 'Keep as above' is not likely to be ignored, it will be ignored.  ΤheQ Editor  Talk? 20:01, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
"keep as above" isn't even an argument. It's a pathetic attempt at contributing to an AfD. LibStar (talk) 22:59, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
 • To play devil's advocate, it's possible that J is mimicking similar AfD comments that many of us (or at least myself) have made in the past. I know that I've argued for keep or deletion by saying "as above", so it's possible that J is doing the same that we've done. However the big thing is that like others have said, most times administrators will ignore the comments unless they are by people who are generally fairly well known at AfD (or by the closing admin) to be people who regularly and methodically look for sources on a regular basis. Even then, it's usually better to flesh that out with a little explanation like "I couldn't find anything either" or "I had the same experience as ________". What's concerning a lot of us is that you're posting these so quickly that it look like you're really searching for sources, which means that you're voting just to vote. Please understand, while your heart may have been in the right place, this can be seen as unproductive and disruptive behavior because you're just posting without any true thought. It looks like you've stopped, but I'd like to politely ask that you not do anything like that in the future and post a little more slowly with arguments and with a bit more information. You may have been researching the articles in lumps before making a final decision in equally large lumps, but that's not how it comes across with this. We do try to assume good faith, but if you continue on like this in the future without changing how you phrase things at AfD, it could lead to stronger warnings or even a block. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:46, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
the best way to mock others in an AfD is to display a much better argument through reasoning etc keep as above is not a mock but as you say if it continues it would rather be mocking the whole AfD process and worthy of a block. saying "I can vote keep 20 times in less than 30 mins without actually examining the article in question or reading the AfD." It would be like going to 20 juries and saying "innocent as he said" without listening to any discussion. LibStar (talk) 12:43, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Translating from other Wikipedias

Hi!
I see that you're creating articles, e.g. Nu så kommer julen, by translating them from the Swedish Wikipedia. This is a great way to expand the English Wikipedia, but the rules on copying within Wikipedia state that attribution must be given. In practice, this means stating that it's a translation in the edit summary and placing a translated page template on the translated article's talk page to link the source and translated versions. Please do so in the future. Kolbasz (talk) 12:20, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

I added for that one. However, many of the others have been written by me in Swedish before. For example, I wrote Sommarparty in English today, and it was I who wrote it in Swedish (yesterday). Shall I add translated to them (even if no major work by someone other has been added to the article in Swedish). J 1982 (talk) 12:27, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
There's a secion on what's exempt under "Copying within Wikipedia: Where attribution is not needed". If you're the sole contributor, attribution is not needed. Cheers. Kolbasz (talk) 12:33, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

Many thanks for improving on the Jonathan Fagerlund pages. I just like this artist. As a matter of interest, here when Jonathan was just 14-15 in an international boy project called Streetwize on a US network station called CN8: "A Room in Your Heart" from 2006, also in his first ever hit in Sweden called "Angeline" with just a handful of views..just 655, the breathtaking "Father's Lullaby", an absolute favourite of mine, and his more recent 2012 release single "U-DO". Mohombi

Thanks for the message about Mohombi. I just love his work and saw him live in concert in Montreal and was impressed of him. He deserved coverage in all he does. As a gratitude I dedicate to you a new joint and very recent release, just a few weeks, by Shaggy (Jamaica, US), Mohombi (Congo, Sweden), Faydee (Lebanon, Australia) and Costi (Romania) It's called "Habibi (I Need Your Love"... Plus a song I love so much from Mohombi from his album Movemeant called "Do Me Right"... I am very much interested in Swedish-related subjects and have established countless articles in English Wikipedia. I've even tried my hand on some Swedish language articles I established myself although I know no Swedish at all, articles like for Karl Wolf, Harmony, Kim Cesarion, Navigators, Panetoz, DJ Oliver Ingrosso ... For English articles of Swedish subjects I initiated, see https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anv%C3%A4ndare:Werldwayd Regards werldwayd (talk) 21:14, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

Thanks

Many thanks for the encouragement on editing Spiders and establishing a page for them, considering they don't even have a page in Swedish language LOL... On this occasion I dedicate to you songs by a Swedish artist I like so much called Arash Labaf as I added his new album Superman on his Swedish page. All are from his new album fresh on iTunes on 4 November 2014: "She Makes Me Go" feat. Sean Paul, Sex Love Rock N Roll (SLR) featuring T-Pain and "On est la" in French. All are from 2014... You may remember him when he represented Azerbaijan in Eurovision with "Always" alongside Aysel. It was a song he had written... He has long collabioration with two other artists quite well known in Sweden called Rebecca Zadig and Helena werldwayd (talk) 19:31, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

I know who he his. But I didn't write the Spiders article. J 1982 (talk) 19:48, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
In addition to establishing a page for Arash's new album Superman (Arash album), I have now also established a page for his best-known hit "Temptation" which you can find at Temptation (Arash song). For a long time I had put that page as a redirect to the album Arash (album). But after seeing your encouragement, and knowing how much that song is known internationally, I have now created a detailed page for it as well. Another Wikipedia colleague Eurohunter also congratulated me on my edits on Arash page as well. werldwayd (talk) 02:17, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for all the thanks!

Ways to improve Köksalmanack

Hi, I'm Djcheburashka. J 1982, thanks for creating Köksalmanack!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. "released annual" should be "published annually"

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Djcheburashka (talk) 02:58, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

Creation of new articles

Thanks for complimenting me in creating pages for Veronica Schildt Bendjelloul and for Johan Schildt. The main reason for creating these two is that they are both related to Malik Bendjelloul. Veronica is his grieved mother and Johan is a close relative on the mother's side. I also knew about his brother Johar's work as well on TV but he already had an article in English Wikipedia... I was deeply devastated by Malik's suicide. I was checking some new releases and I found this new song, a remix of Rodriguez by the French DJ and music producer The Avener. I don't know if you know The Avener or his international hit "Fade Out Lines". Well, his new release is the amazing "Hate Street Dialogue" a song by Sixto Rodriguez. Check The Avener version here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB_1zOFolA4 I also checked the great original here from Cold Fact https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNcIzQk5bEY I was listening to the terrific song in both versions and Malik and his documentary Searching for Sugar Man came to my mind. I have seen the documentary a good five time... It won the Oscars.... So I checked some of Malik's relations and how he came from such an artistic family where everybody seems to be involved in arts. Thus the two articles about his mother and relative.... werldwayd (talk) 19:49, 28 December 2014 (UTC)

Siri Andersson-Palmestav

I saw her several times. She was a missionary in Estonia during II world war, and in East Poland between 1946-1948. Her husband, Jakub Sielużycki (then Palmestav) was several times in a prison (three times in Soviet Union and three times in Poland). He was tortured and lost his health. In 1957 Jakub departed to Sweden and changed his surname from Sielużycki into Palmestav (because if prison, of someone called him Sielużycki he taught about tortures).

After his death Siri wrote book Han flydde ur sovjet för sin tros skull. Siri Anersson is a brilliant person and she deserves for wikipedian article (also on pl-wiki and ru-wiki). Leszek Jańczuk (talk) 21:55, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

Books

The information on the Swedish books you have been adding does not show notability. The best solution at the present would be to redirect them to their authors. I've checked some of the corresponding articles in the Swedish WP, and the information there would not be considered sufficient to justify an article here. Please see WP:NBOOK for an explanation. W The enWP requires more than just the plot-- see WP:NOTPLOT. Substantial reviews from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements or postings on Amazon or Goodreads or the like are usually what is needed--and Swedish sources for them are as good as English, if English ones are not available. Jehovah's Witnesses in Sweden

Perhaps you should concentrate on improving the section about Jehovah's Witnesses in the article Religion in Sweden. If it can be established that there is sufficient notable information about Jehovah's Witnesses' activities in Sweden, it may justify a separate article at some point. At this time, this has not been established.--Jeffro77 (talk) 23:19, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for encouragement

Hi J 1982 ! I just wanted to thank You for Your encouraging thanks regarding my contributions to the former and present connections across the Øresund. There are more to do, especially flygbåtarna, Centrumlinjen, Pilen, "De stora båtarna" etc at the Malmö - Copenhagen route, "Viking Bådene" and "Scarlett Line" between Landskrona-Copenhagen, the Limhamn-Dragør route and also the goods train ferries (without cars, lorries and passengers) Helsingborg-Copenhagen Nordhavn, and "Marina" Hbg to Snekkersten, which sailed for many years. And Scandinavian SAS hooverkrafts to Kastrup (which was concidered as flight route !). There are also a number of short lived shipping lines. We'll see what the future may bring. Without good sources to start with, it becomes difficult though. But thanks for for encouragement Boeing720 (talk) 12:24, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

TY for the TY. I knew of Elisabeth (what a singer!). I fell across Söderströms Förlags Ab elsewhere in WP and searched for the surname – what a mess! I trust that I've done something to clear it up.

John Culshaw recounted a story in his book Ring Resounding. Quoting from memory:

 • Ignorant journalist: "And how are things in Sweden?"
 • Kirsten Flagstad: "I'm from Norway."
 • IJ: "Same place, aren't they?"
 • JC: I left the room. My presence was not necessary.

I saw you moved Svenska Mästerskapet to Swedish Association Football Championship. I disagree since "Swedish Association Football Championship" has no google hits outside Wikipedia and is then your own translation and to the fact that football competitions tend to use local names instead of English translation Allsvenskan, Bundesliga et cetera. Smartskaft (talk) 11:59, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

It's not really the name of a league, it's the Swedish national championship, at that time played as a knockout tournament. J 1982 (talk) 12:03, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
Or cups, Svenska Cupen, Supercupen, DFB-Pokal et cetera. What sources have called it "Swedish Association Football Championship"? Smartskaft (talk) 12:06, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
I dont see it as a name the same way, it's not a cup like the English FA Cup either, just the Swedish national championship (which actually still exists, but is awarded to the winner of Fotbollsallsvenskan), see for example 1924 Yugoslav Football Championship, 1938 Swedish Ice Hockey Championship (also knockout tournaments to determe national champions). Maybe we can call it just Swedish Football Championship instead. J 1982 (talk) 12:10, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
Why is it not like the FA Cup? For the whole set of champions including Allsvenskan and varieties, there is the Swedish football champions. The Svenska Mästerskapet article is about the tournament that was held up to 1925, which during that time was called SM as far as I know (http://runeberg.org/svda/1923/0196.html). Swedish Football Championship sounds better than Swedish Association Football Championship, however still, what are the usage in English of that? Smartskaft (talk) 14:34, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
Svenska mästerskapet, shortened to SM, is Swedish for "Swedish championship" and can refer to any sport, in this case "Svenska mästerskapet i fotboll". If the article List of Swedish football champions exists, move to Swedish Football Championship. J 1982 (talk) 15:03, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
The actual tournament name was "Svenska Mästerskapet", and thus should be used. You have to differentiate between just talking about Swedish champions and championships in general, and this tournament in particular. – Elisson • T • C • 13:51, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
Svenska mästerskapet is the name in Swedish of any sporting event where Swedish national champions are determed. All such events are usually refered to as Swedish championship in English. J 1982 (talk) 14:11, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
No, they are not. Allsvenskan is not referred to as "(the) Swedish championship". It is referred to as "Allsvenskan". And just as "Allsvenskan" is the proper name of the tournament currently deciding the national champions, "Svenska Mästerskapet" is the proper name of the tournament that decided the national champions between 1896 and 1925. Please refrain from making these kinds of major changes in the future without consulting for example a WikiProject. – Elisson • T • C • 14:20, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Timo Lahtinen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page HJK. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Move requests 'DVD releases' --> 'Home video releases'

I noticed you've moved a few articles from the 'dvd release' title to 'home video release' title convention. This has recently led to backlash move request you might be interested in: List_of_Danger_Mouse_home_video_releases#Requested_move_15_December_2015

I support your changing the various DVD release articles to 'home video' and would like to point out that there are 5 more such articles that could probably use your attention: DVD Releases  InsertCleverPhraseHere InsertTalkHere  03:07, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

EDIT: Never-mind I did them myself.  InsertCleverPhraseHere InsertTalkHere  20:57, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

En julsaga listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect En julsaga. Since you had some involvement with the En julsaga redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. BDD (talk) 16:30, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Category:2016 television seasons

As explained at Category:2016 television seasons, the category is for "television seasons that have aired at least one episode in 2016", not for "television seasons that have scheduled episodes to air in 2016". Accordingly, this category should not be populated until after 31 December 2015 at the earliest. For Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012 TV series) (season 4), the article should not be added to the category until after "Riddle of the Ancient Aeons" airs on 10 January 2016. --AussieLegend () 06:25, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
