DYK for Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon
On 7 February 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the largest of the 67 Petit & Fritsen cast bells of the Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon weighs 15,000 pounds (6,800 kg)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

three things
first, how would I get Thomas Lavy on that front page thing you have above where I am writing right now? Can you help? secondly, I made a request at Wikipedia:Files for upload to upload a photograph of Lavy that seems like Fair Use but it was declined because somebody said the photograph was not good enough quality (!?). It is the only photo that exists, surely bad quality is better than no quality...can you help? thirdly, sorry for asking for your help so much. 03:01, 17 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by MajickJonson (talk • contribs) I am heading home from work just now, but just wanted to tell you - I tried to upload the photo but it says I am not a Confirmed User and cannot upload - that is why I made the "Request" originally. I am not sure what to do, I read a few policy pages, they seemed to say you just wait until you become "cofirmed" 06:28, 17 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by MajickJonson (talk • contribs) December 24 1995 in the Post and Courier (Charleston newspaper) for the photograph; I saw a scan of it online ,but cannot find it again right now. 01:35, 18 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by MajickJonson (talk • contribs) Much thanks for the photo upload - I think it does help an article to see an image sometimes. I wish we had one a little more humanising, but this is better than nothing certainly. (And no others seem to exist). Two questions, what does the < span > term do? and if you know of any similar little-known cases to Lavy, let me know - I would love to write another article some time in the future. Well, I would love your help with 1989 Medfly attack in California if you can afford some time; two heads are better than one at googling and looking up news articles :) MajickJonson (talk) 17:50, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
That was excellent, if you have a new article to create and collaborate on, I'm game. MajickJonson (talk) 01:42, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
Tasty cake...
Yum, marshmallow(man) flavored!
Suggestions
In 1994, the ATF raided the North Carolina Military Museum and seized its collection of weapons, then backed off because they were all legally registered by the curator, but probably made things worse by saying that they worked with an informant for three years to plan the raid of a museum...you got anything better? :D MajickJonson (talk) 02:42, 20 February 2012 (UTC) The FBI agent Richard Held at the bottom of this biased website looks interesting too...the site is biased, but that man certainly seems to have had fingers in a lot of pies. But still, nothing is absolutely attention-grabbing for me yet. MajickJonson (talk) 02:46, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
Well, I found my next article; you're certainly invited to tagteam. Good Ol Boys Roundup. MajickJonson (talk) 03:13, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- Holy shnikes! Racist ATF agents, this is my shocked face. the NC story is interesting. how much info do we have on it. you're not new are you? IvoShandor (talk) 03:54, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Crown Fountain image
I removed the image. We already have maxed out WP:NFCC content.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 08:24, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
- I cropped the image to remove the video face in the background - the blue lights are OK to photograph, so it is a free image now. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 13:52, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
