Wayne Gibson
[edit]I've reverted your change because you have not provided a reliable source for your edit. Please note that deaths should not be reported without strong supporting evidence - we cannot take it simply on the basis of someone's personal knowledge. But, if you do in fact have such knowledge, what you should do is explain the position on the article talk page - to explain what you know, how you know it, and any supporting information you have - and try to convince me and other editors that what you say is true. I'm sure you understand that hoaxers post details of supposed "deaths" all the time (for example here) - what I accept is different in this case is that it may well be that Mr Gibson/Allen's death was not widely reported at the time. But, you need to make the case for including the information rather than trying to insert it yourself without providing a reliable source. Ghmyrtle (talk) 09:16, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you again for providing the information. I've no doubt that what you write is accurate - but, it would still be extremely helpful if you could point us to any published information (such as an obituary in a local newspaper) that would give some formal confirmation of your father's death.
