Walt Disney Studios
Hello, InfiniteNexus. I'm ZX2006XZ. I noticed that there is a "{{Unsourced section}}
" section near the Franchises section of Walt Disney Studios (division)'s article. Why exactly is that? Is a "franchises" section of a movie studio article supposed to be sourced? I'm just asking. - ZX2006XZ (talk) 14:34, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- @ZX2006XZ: Can you point me to a Wikipedia guideline which states franchise lists are exempt from sourcing? For example, I know plot sections do not require sources per WP:PLOTCITE. If not, everything on Wikipedia needs to be sourced. InfiniteNexus (talk) 16:21, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- I don't know where to find that? - ZX2006XZ (talk) 16:26, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- I couldn't find a relevant guideline either, so yes, I would say it is
supposed to be sourced
. InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:29, 11 November 2021 (UTC)- How and why, though?- ZX2006XZ (talk) 18:21, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- Everything on Wikipedia has to be reliably sourced per WP:V. InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:23, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

Take a look at 20th Century Studios#Film series or Universal Pictures#Film series - ZX2006XZ (talk) 18:53, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- The former of which includes a similar tag questioning its verifiability? InfiniteNexus (talk) 22:05, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- Universal Pictures#Film series is not tagged. ZX2006XZ (talk) 22:57, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- And follow up if I may, the point is that I don't see any good reason why Walt Disney Studios (division)#Franchises should be flagged. ZX2006XZ (talk) 22:58, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- The point is, unless a Wikipedia guideline states otherwise, the information must be backed up by reliable sources. InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:42, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Well, if you say so. ZX2006XZ (talk) 01:09, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Pixel 6
On 13 November 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Pixel 6, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Pixel 6 is the first smartphone to be powered by the Google Tensor system on a chip (SoC)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Pixel 6. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Pixel 6), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

two pages need to move drafts to articles
when are you going episode 9 of what if and howard the duck to be articles now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackknight1234567890 (talk • contribs) 18:44, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackknight1234567890: Draft:What If... the Watcher Broke His Oath? still needs more information at the Reception section, and Draft:Howard the Duck (Marvel Cinematic Universe) was actually moved to draftspace from mainspace because it does not meet the prerequisites established by the MCU taskforce regarding character articles. Only after both hurdles have been overcome can they be moved—not by me, but by another editor with WP:PAGEMOVER rights such as Favre1fan93. Speaking of which, why are you so eager to have these two moved to mainspace? InfiniteNexus (talk) 21:38, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
Grace Randolph re Jessica Chastain
Hi. If you want to remove the Birds of Prey article reference, fine. But the Jessica Chastain stuff is too much. You're putting a negative spin on two women with no evidence whatsoever. Randolph hasn't referenced Chastain in years, that's an old clip people keep using of Randolph saying Chastain shouldn't be cast in It Chapter 2. As for Chastain's recent comment re an online troll, you can in no way RESPONSIBLY argue that she's talking about Grace Randolph. She references that troll's personal life, and Randolph NEVER talks about her personal life online in any way. Please don't put that section back. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChromaticaCali (talk • contribs) 01:57, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
- Also, the article that's used a source does not come from an entertainment website that's regarded by Wikipedia as a reliable source, per the same page you used to justify taking out my Birds of Prey article for reference. Again, thank you. ChromaticaCali (talk) 02:19, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
- @ChromaticaCali: Just so we're clear, I am not the editor who added this information to that article, but I will let this slide given that I have had doubts about the neutrality of the info for a while now. Also, don't quote me on this, but as a general rule of thumb, I would say that news articles are usually considered reliable unless they are obviously sketchy or have been deemed reliable by the Wikipedia community. See also WP:VNT, but perhaps only citing that article was given it WP:UNDUE weight. On a related matter, I strongly advise you to read WP:SPA because I'm starting to get suspicious about your edit history. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:41, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
- This should be discussed on the article talkpage, ChromaticaCali. You've been told that before, and thus far, your editing history at WP has only been to remove content critical of Randolph. Grandpallama (talk) 19:37, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hey, just a fan of hers - don't like how she's treated online and you can see that trolls target her page here. Next time I see something I think is unfair I'll run it past you two instead of making the change myself - I thought you both handled this really fairly and cool. Your Sony's Spider-Man Universe reverts
Hello. You have repeatedly reverted the edits concerning the related media to the SSU. This fact has been confirmed by both Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal jointly, as well as individually. Additionally, Tom Holland's Spider-Man appears in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. This topic has already been discussed on the talk page. The 'relation' between previous Spider-Man films and the SSU are also all self-evident by the plot of No Way Home. I am taking to the talk page to further discuss this, m8! Cheers.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 05:53, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
- I have responded on the SSU talk page, but I'll add this: I never suggested that the MCU is not related to the SSU, I said it is separate. Feige and Pascal's comments about how they collaborated on the mid-credits scene do not say anything about how the SSU is set in the same continuity as the MCU. And everything about No Way Home is still just speculation so far. InfiniteNexus (talk) 06:21, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
Hey, I'm not sure if you've seen the Kublai Khan page, but "Wenwu" has only one mention as an apparently posthumously appended title (listed in the infobox). The name is not mentioned anywhere in the article, and I have not seen it referenced by any source. When I referenced WP:COMMONNAME, I did so because "Wenwu" is in no way a common name for Kublai Khan, even in Chinese. His normal Chinese title is the equivalent of "Emporer Shizu of Yuan". On the other hand: Wenwu is the first name of the TV character; the name is frequently used in reference to the character in isolation (unlike for Kublai Khan, where the name Wenwu only forms part of a four-name title: Emperor Shèngdé Shéngōng Wénwǔ); and the character is the overwhelmingly more likely intended destination for readers. Check google: [1] - there's not even a whiff of a mention of Kublai Khan. Also Ngram: [2] Does this really need a move request? Iskandar323 (talk) 07:20, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Iskandar323: It's best to play it safe and start an WP:RM discussion at Talk:Wenwu (Marvel Cinematic Universe) for that article to be moved to Wenwu; you can voice your reasoning there. InfiniteNexus (talk) 02:22, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- Forgive me if I'm wrong in thinking this, but it seems like all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe characters have that attribution in brackets after their name - presumably to make it clear at the outset that the articles involve fictional characters. Iskandar323 (talk) 06:50, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- Nope, a parenthetical disambiguation is only necessary when the non-disambiguated title (i.e. without the
(Marvel Cinematic Universe)
) is occupied by another article. For example, Sylvie (Marvel Cinematic Universe) is so named because there is already an article called Sylvie, but Trevor Slattery does not need the(Marvel Cinematic Universe)
part because there was no other article occupying that name. InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:12, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

Hey @Iskandar323, I see you have gone ahead with your RM proposal, but I think you meant to say "film character" instead of "TV character" in your proposal? InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:55, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
- Noted. I've amended that. Iskandar323 (talk) 20:04, 17 December 2021 (UTC)

I did try to take out a dead link for the tv series. I gave the reason why, but it didn't show up. Parcel — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.7.28.118 (talk) 23:38, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Should Sheldon the God be added unsourced content?--Mark Rhodes 13 (talk) 02:38, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
