Regarding battle of Orbulaq
[edit]Hi! I see you reverted my change regarding, source, could you please elaborate on this change? Previous source didn't have any information about given numbers, so I corrected it YerzhanU (talk) 14:47, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
- The source you put is weak and cannot use wikipedia. There was a source from the book you are removing, this is not allowed in wikipedia. Incall talk 08:24, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- the book does not have information it's cited, it's irrelevant 143.58.246.7 (talk) 13:20, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
- You haven't even read it. Incall talk 18:18, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
- I downloaded and read it, it doesn’t have any mentions of battle of Orbulaq, nor anything that happened in 1643, including numbers that are derived from there YerzhanU (talk) 19:36, 27 July 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Regarding Oirats
[edit]Hey there. Regarding your recent deletion of my edits on the Oirats page, I would like to clarify my edits.
The Tubalar people are not a tribe of the Oirats. As per estimate on number people of Oirat origin in Kazakhstan, the Tolengit tribe traces their origins to the Oirats, among the peoples of the tribe Khonyrat in Kazakhstan. As per Tajikistan, the Khongirad were listed as distinct ethnic groups in 2010 and 2020 to my knowledge. As per estimate in Karakalpakstan, some of the Khongirad migrated there and became governors of Khwarazm. There is still a Khongirad clan in the area.
I hope this clears up the confusion. Vofa (talk) 09:15, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. Where do 160,000 Oirats come from in Kyrgyzstan? Origin or any tribe does not make it a nation. If you want the number of people in a country, then take sources from official websites (e.g. stat.gov.kg or stat.gov.kz). Incall talk 09:28, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
