Gregor Fraser moved to draftspace

[edit]

It appears that you may have a conflict of interest with the subject of Gregor Fraser, and as such you should submit this article to be published through the Articles for Creation process. Before editing the article further, please first disclose on your user page and on the article's Talk page whether you have received money to write this or other articles on Wikipedia, or if you have any other kind of conflict of interest concerning the subject. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Before submitting, you should make sure that the article is fully compliant with Wikipedia’s neutrality and verifiability policies, as well as our notability guidelines. When you’re ready, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. This process is encouraged, but optional. If you choose not to participate in it, you can remove the AfC template and move the article back to mainspace. You should also consider reaching out to the Teahouse for additional feedback and aid from experienced editors. signed, Rosguill talk 22:43, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for input, feedback, etc, the article on Fraser was rejected firstly for not being "noteworthy", now its been rejected for COI - can you kindly assist, on what specific grounds is there a COI? Thanks in anticipation. Hughf2 (talk) 09:38, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Gregor Fraser

[edit]

Hello, Hughf2. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Gregor Fraser".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 22:49, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

User page

[edit]

Editing the user page of another user is generally seen as impolite, so I thought I should explain.

  • Userbox templates are intended to be added to a user page, so I moved the COI userbox template from the Adam Fulton article to your user page
  • Doing this obviously removed the redirect – the userbox provides the necessary link instead
  • I added the correct COI template to the article instead of the userbox template
  • I also added the COI template to the Adam Kelso Fulton article. You should add a statement about that article to your user page (and probably the article talk pages).
  • References exist to allow other users to verify the information. While the source material need not be on-line, it does need to be in the public domain and verifiable by other users. As such, you do need to add some "better" references or review what text should be removed from the articles.

I hope that this helps — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 08:25, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks GhostInTheMachine for your assistance, do you have examples of how to craft the statement? Hughf2 (talk) 10:16, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Just add a second userbox for Adam Kelso Fulton or maybe add the other page as parameter 2 on the existing userbox — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 15:35, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you again for your kind assistance - Ill update soon - regards Hughf2 (talk) 07:44, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
